I know exactly what you're going through, cuz I have 3 Trashed Disks, in my lower back, and there are days (or weeks) where I just can't get anything done... Great job! I think it was like a 1992 but the early to mid Ford pickup trucks all you have to do well I ain't going to sit here it's very easy to pull the ignition assembly out of it. We're talking 3 seconds that's without breaking anything. It's kind of scary that they got set up like that
Man you're a lot fussier than I am, when I converted to 5sp from 3 on the tree on my 64 Comet I knocked the pin and took out the shifter. I blocked the hole with one of those chrome plugs you used to cover an unused aerial hole, it does not look out of place. On the other hand finding a floor shift column in Austria or importing it would have been a nightmare, so... Hope you get the right self-cancelling switch, mine was broken too and what I got needed a lot of filling and adapting to work right. But at least they're cheap so you could always try to order from more than one source if it does not work.
I'm usually not so picky, this is the one car I own. I'm trying to make nice. I ordered my switch from Dennis Carpenter. Unfortunately Chinese junk I'm guessing. Thanks for watching
@@flatbrokegarage never used Carpenter so I cannot tell where he sources his stuff but I guess most of these parts are indeed made in Commie C. My US supplier was Melvins Ford out of Conyers GA and they were generally very good, but by the time I found out the switch did not fit correctly I already messed with it so could not send back. Besides where I am reclaiming something in the US is a right pain (I would only say one thing: never ever do direct business with McLeod clutches), so I prefer to persist locally if I can... Yes your car looks good👍

I'm going to get 4 or 5 of the diecast Falcarinos for myself and a live cast giveaway. They will also sell them on there sight. Diesel van the engine is bad. I may just sell it. We will see

Oh well cars don't last forever but glad you are getting back one you had. I had an M37. Great rigs, just a bit slow. The breaks are definitely different. I upgraded mine to a GM 1 ton master. Worked a lot better. They even offer a disc brake conversion. I'll check your link. Thanks for watching!

i have a column shift in mine. I just cut the rod off in the engine bay and the shifter is gone
