Thanks for the great review. Love my Polestar MY24 LRSM. Such an awesome car. If only more people realised just how good these are. Fantastic energy efficiency. Drove 240k’s today up to Sydney and back and averaged 12.6KW/H.
Looks a nice car, but Volvo have recently downgraded the value of Polestar within their accounts from billions….to zero! - maybe an exaggeration, but EV’s are effectively “computers on wheels” so what happens when no software updates are available…..if the manufacturer goes bust?
@@visionsofhere3745 - I don’t understand the point you are making, with an ICE car, they can be maintained and repaired independently, whereas if software updates become unavailable for an EV, the car would effectively become worthless…..just like the mobile phone I had to scrap a few weeks ago
@@WatchDSSID If the main computer in either an EV or a piston engined develops a serious problem, you'll need manufacturer support. What drives the car is irrelevant to that. It's just as possible for a petrol or diesel car to become a worthless paperweight as it is for EVs, especially when the computer says "no".
DO you have the option of getting rid of those god awful yellow seatbelts on the higher spec model? Designers lets go for the understated look then add in something that detracts from that and hey lets make it a colour no one likes.
Just took delivery of my MY24 LRDM Pilot Plus on Friday, my first EV, such a great car. Knew the quirks and shortcomings everyone mentions before I ordered but they weren’t dealbreakers for me personally

You know piston engined cars are also heavily computerised?
