This is ONE OF the hardest topics to talk about as a Christian.
I will say this, I have 3 family members who say they are lesbians.
While wishing all of them would talk to me, only one does.
It doesn’t mean because I don’t support their decision to live this lifestyle that JESUS calls me to not love them and I love them very much.
The stone CAN be thrown because The Chosen should be held to the standard it is trying to represent. The producers can say no flags in the workplace. This is a sad attempt to justify and defend something that was and is wrong.

With the bullhorn comes responsibility.
The chosen has taken on, what I believe is the highest level of responsibility to clearly tell the story of what I and many believe is God- Christ and the Holy Spirit- The Holy Trinity. Not only for this generation but those that follow.
For many this series and what the producers say and deliver surrounding it, may be their only understanding of the Holy story.
If the default was not to the 'trump' card story of 'casting stones' which means someone can do whatever they please, a nah nah nah nah nah position, the analogy would not come into play.
They have chosen the responsibility to tell Christs story. They should therefore be held to the very highest of standards.
Changing the beliefs of Christianity by permitting and embracing nuances that conflict with that responsibility, is not, in my opinion carrying the torch of pure light that many will follow.
The Holy scriptures do not say: eh, yeah, I guess we all sin so embrace everything. They do say go away and sin, no, more. That is not the Chosen response.

I just want to say that you are one of the most sound doctrines preacher out there. I enjoy listening to sound doctrines. I do not anyone to tickle my ear. We all make mistakes and fall short of the glory of God. All glory to God for his plan of salvation!

This has already been addressed by Dallas Jenkins. The person who did this was an outside company that does work for The Chosen. If The Chosen chooses to keep him, that's up to them, then choose to watch or not. I believe the politics need to stop. Trust in The Holy Word. All shows all entertainment can be influenced by dark forces. It is up to as Christians to discern for themselves.
The person who did what? The issue is #thechosen releasing a season 4 promo video with a pride flag fluttering in it. And when many $upporter$ asked why, dallas doubled down and defended it. He was snide and snarky and unbelievably arrogant. His responses have proven to me he has ZERO discernment. And everyone else involved with the series has remained silent which is extremely troubling to me. No thanks. I'm boycotting the chosen tv show. #walkaway

I don't think the issue is a person working there as an unbeliever. Rather, Dallas should have been more acute in making sure his Christian show didn't advertise LGBTQ in it. When Dallas talked, it sounded like a whole lot of word salad.

I will not judge someone until I judge myself first. I am a sinner and so therefore I can only judge myself. I let god do his work through. I try to follow in god’s step as much as I can. Love and respect for everyone. 🙏🏼

Especially that part at the end. "I will do what the Holy Spirit leads." And nobody can question him as long as he says he was lead by the spirit.
I'd say since the Bible speaks of the things that "flag" represents as being abominable and shameful, I would think that would be enough to not have it brought into a set that is supposed to be Bible based. Accept their flag, go ahead and accept their lifestyle. It has nothing to do with "love" - but everything to do with what the Bible literally calls, "the unfruitful works of darkness."
Hey bud. You would literally have to live in your own box and become completly self sufficient to not associate with this world. Remember, God placed us in this world. We were all born in sin. He calls us by his love and kindness to repentance, meeting us where we are with the gift of his grace. It seems if we are created to bear his image, we should do what he does. The complaint is why did they put out to the public a video showing a pride flag on a show that is supposedly about the authentic Jesus. seriously! people need to study scripture. practicing, celebrating and or embracing sin is the problem it is an abomination to a Holy God.

There was no way for you all to know what the chosen was going to represent in the future. Your videos were made before this information came out, so it doesn’t make sense for anyone to question you on the usage of their footage in your videos. You always convey God’s truth in your videos. I have seen a few vids on the incident...what bothered me, is that all the actors that were asked about the flag never once said "LGBT is a sin". They all copped out saying "don't judge, and close the door on your way out". None of them stood up and said "we as Christians do not condone LGBTQ". I felt this was a missed opportunity to take a stand against that which the Bible clearly labels as sin, instead of folding like wet tissue paper. Keep up the good work man! Groete van Oos-Londen😊

Working alongside someone with a different faith or lifestyle is totally different from allowing them to voice their msg openly on YOUR project. This is a mass media project that has influence and reach to the public and as such, can be regarded as irresponsible and reckless. The stakes are simply too high to be this flippant about the issue.
Exactly. How many "Easter eggs" of pride flags (or worse) are going to be slipped in. It was no accident it was there; they were making a statement.

It doesnt mean promote something that's had innumerable discrepancies since season 1 - w/actors/directors/CEO's, the changing of Gods Word, making Jesus a flawed man, etc., etc., etc. Yes he put out a good PR Statement about why it was there (the flag) & trying to share the gospel w/behind camera staff, etc. But the truth comes out when the disciples and many other actors from the show decided to give their 2 cents. This show is not of God. Its creating a worldly Jesus that everyone feels comfortable with. Why? B/c it was never about the true Son of God - The One who is hated by the world. Why do you think the shows so popular? Not b/c its telling the TRUTH of the gospel, thats for sure.

We are not throwing stones, but we can't support something that Jesus died to pay for. Lgbt is a sin and the pride flag represents celebration of those sins.
I have been listening to Daniel and he has opened my eyes to many of Gods teachings and makes me a better person because of it… He is a great Pastor to me and a true believer of God and his ways…he is much respected by me and I know a true Christian when I hear one.

There’s a big DIFFERENCE between going to work and having unbelievers around you (especially considering everywhere is our mission field), and allowing that on your production set BASED OFF Jesus’ life and ministry.
Are they treating this person with the flag as the mission field? Because quite frankly, if you’re doing your show right, and preaching the gospel right, the person with the flag would likely be offended and not stay on the crew.
The cross offends. It’s a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the gentiles.
And it’s a private production. He has a right to let the person work there, but, in my opinion, should not allow that flag on set. Period.
Not surprising when the guy has Catholics, Mormons, etc working on set. To him we’re all Christians. This is FALSE.

Actually it's not different. If it's that important to you, you should opt to work only with Christians and Christians companies on your regular job. Otherwise, you're being hypocritical. Additionally, you could do the same job as him and how him how you think it should be done.
Besides, if the rainbow was initially used by Christians, then what's the problem? He could have used the experience/symbol in a way that was more fitting of the context.

The producer's point that Christians regularly work with non-believers, probably without blinking an eye, stands unrefuted. If you don't abide by a Christian only mentality in your life, then you can't criticize the producer's colleague choices.

When you look over one's refusal to repent for their sin, you are abandoning them to the place of the dead, and ultimately eternal damnation. They are simply acting on their human nature, but to allow them to pit this first in the case of the church and preaching the gospel is a tragic and very dangerous thing. The teacher who does so will surely be judged, as he may very well be leading the faithful into hell with him at the very front of the mob.
Exactly, Our response to that is a terrible witness if we're being judgmental. As viewers, it could be a way they'd want to know Jesus. 💁🏼♀️

I don't watch the chosen. I understand that sometimes a homosexual might be part of the workplace. The issue that almost the entire set has come out in support of LGBTQ "brothers" on staff instead of acknowledging and professing that they believe that this employee is respected for his job but that they all believe he along with all LGBTQ people are on their way to hell. You will never hear it from the set or 99% of churches today. That's the problem.
What about those born with homosexual desires? Are they doomed to Hell by default? Did God create them so that they would be automatically thrown into eternal torture? What if homosexuality isn’t a “choice?” That’s like saying all people born without a leg will be automatically sent to Hell when they die.

Homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of God (Sodom and Gamorrah) We are born with temptations to sin but with the power of God we can dominate the lust of the flesh. A man can because of his upbringing attain desires for other men. If he believes in God and places his faith in Him, God will take those desires away. Many former homosexuals that have received Christ can attest to that. A straight man that used to fornicate with woman can stop with the power of God. So can a thief or a liar. Sin is sin. The bible is clear about homosexuality and all sins. If you continue to practice that sin after coming to Christ, you will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. If you are a believer in Christ than you either believe the Word of God or you don't. There is no picking and choosing. For nothing is impossible with God and the bible is clear, those that come to Christ are born again and become new creatures (straight men in this case).
No! If you have homosexual desires your not automatically bound for hell. I will say this again homosexuality is a sexual sin like any other so if you confess your sin and profess Jesus as your loving saviour you will be saved. You also have to abide with his teachings if you keep acting on your homosexual desires and not try to control it that is when it's bad becoz it's just like me saying am a christian but I still watch pornography or fornicate. Another thing God loves you he will forgive you every single time you fall until your last breadth❤. He knows it's hard for us cause the flesh wants what it wants but God tells us we are better than are sins. No body is born a homosexual though
@@annduruibe625 I completely agree with everything you said, except for the last sentence. There are MANY cases where this is true, especially in todays society, but biological flaws occur. There are people born without legs, there are people born with different colored eyes, and the same is true for homosexuality. Everybody is different and DNA is not perfect.
Sadly, there are people truly born as homosexuals. And they can do nothing about it, other than try to suppress there desires. But that’s not very fair to them, now is it? Everyone else can do biblically pure sexually related things. But any sexually related things they do at all is considered unbiblical.

It’s not they hired people with different views it’s that the flag was clearly seen in their promotional video. There’s something fishy about that show. I suggest for Christians to stop watching it and spend time reading The Bible instead. Give the devil no opportunity.
