My opinion, as a Priest coming from the Eastern Orthodox tradition, is that the central problem is our attempt to evaluate anything concerning others. We are to examine ourselves in light of the truth of Jesus Christ as revealed to us. It is a mirror that allows us to see ourselves. It is not helpful as Christians for us to evaluate anyone other than ourselves. Leave the rest to God.
So if you accept LDS as Christians, who deny the divinity of Christ (Jesus is a god not God Almighty, and a spirit child of the Father), then do we open our arms to Muslims as our brothers in the faith also (since they view Jesus as the Messiah)? It IS important to know who are your brethren, who are a part of the body of believers, and those who are wolves in sheeps clothing. What would you say?
@@dr.j5642 No. LDS shares more with Orthodoxy than Protestants share with orthodoxy. Makes Protestants the outsiders. LDS share the theology of divination or people can become holy. Share the bible should be worshipped rather the teachings of Jesus and to others contain truth. That the Son came from the Father. That the eucharist must be done as per Jesus. Baptism is required. Keeping the commandments. That priesthood was ordained by Jesus to the apostles and down the line. You cannot preach except you have been anointed. The church Jesus founded had a hierarchy. Not someone setting up a new church on every church block.
Hey, Dallas 🌸 Hope you're not being harassed. I represent the silent multitudes who feel you have been abundantly clear and transparent on this issue. Appreciate you and praying for you.

🌺🌺🌺Yes Dallas, here, here is another one of the silent multitudes who support you and I'm forever grateful for the Jesus, my Jesus, our Lord Jesus, that you are giving us this life-giving portrayal of. Thank you again.🌱🌱🌱 Cristina in Texas
I never heard what Dallas said, which he is clarifying here, but I was raised in the LDS church and I was taught things about Jesus that simply aren't true. I love his analogy about spotting counterfeit bills. I'm focused on getting to know our authentic Lord.
Thank you so much for taking the time to clarify all the information being posted about about you and the show. On a more positive note, The Chosen helped bring my husband back to Jesus and for that it will always hold a spot in my heart. Thank you for all you and everyone who works on the show do. Praying for all of you. And can't wait for season three!💓
Dearest Dallas, "The Chosen may be the only Bible some humans are exposed to." I referred The Chosen to a fine gentleman who just didn't read the Bible. After watching The Chosen his love for Jesus was sparked and he is now attending weekly church Services! Keep up the great job! The Chosen is so awesome as are you, the cast, and the entire team! 👍❤️
He should feel the weight. The message of Jesus is no small thing and must be presented with care and 100% accuracy. The seriousness of the gospel must be felt. Jesus is not trivial.
“The show is not a replacement for scripture.” ❤️ I’m glad to hear you say this, because many people are putting the show in that place (not your fault). Thanks for the show, pointing people to Jesus, the word, and the local church.
For what it's worth, Jack, Dallas has said that since the beginning. In fact, I think the "Binge Jesus" slogan doesn't mean "The Chosen"; it means "Open your Bible and get into the Word."
Yeah people just don't understand. Sad news for Dallas , people especially Christians will continue to criticize the chosen in a bad way no matter how much he explains why it isn't a replacement for scripture. Because people just don't listen,so it is what it is i guess .The chosen creators should just carry on and ignore the negative reviews unless they actually do something wrong.
Actually, it's entirely his fault. Proverbs 30:6 is quite clear: "Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." I've just found out about this show, yet even a little research has revealed that he's added numerous incidents of his own invention to the Gospel accounts. He's put words into Jesus' mouth that we have absolutely no record of Jesus ever saying. And why? To rake in millions of dollars in funding and further his own filmmaking interests? Call me crazy, but I've found the records we have to be sufficient. Not only do I feel it's unnecessary to bloat them with scenarios of my own imagining, but I'd be afraid to do so.
Yes, there have been scenes created around Scripture, however the scenes as created are well within the realms of probably. As you may be aware, the scripts are reviewed by a panel consisting of a Catholic theologian, an evangelical theologian, and a Messianic Jewish Rabbi. They agree that the scenarios are within the context of the time, and well may have happened in much the same way. In all cases, the creators are upfront with the fact that they are not replacing Scripture, and would expect that the viewers would take the time to delve deeper into the Word. In as much as the Passion of the Christ movie used the 'visions' of a Catholic nun to fill in some of the blanks, so is Dallas trying to make the Jesus of Scripture more accessible to those seeking a personal relationship with the Savior.
I am not part of the LDS church. I was raised as a Catholic. It doesn't matter to me who you had working on the show. The end result is something that is uniting people in a common way. Your portrayal of these real people is commendable. I appreciate the very human way each character has been shown
Wrong. Everything works together for Gods perfect plan but that doesn't mean that the event itself is good. The show could be nonbiblical and God would still find a way to use it.
@Accept Jesus as your savior I respect your ability to have your own perspective, and thoughts on the show, and this discussion thread. And you can still feel that I am wrong. But I stand by my comments. I still feel that this show is bringing people together: cast, crew, fans- non believers, and believers in such a way that they feel passionate enough to add their voice to the dialogue. And this is my point. And this is where I feel the differing factions of Christianity get it wrong. They are too busy admonishing each other, with their "we're the only ones who matter" attitudes. If you follow his example, then you would also embrace his wanting humanity to understand this. We are all human, nobody is better than anyone else. We all need to come together, and stop dividing ourselves.
One counterfeit church uniting with another counterfeit church is only exacerbating the deceptions of the myriad of denominations that make up the false counterfeit church system in the ecumenical movement. This is Satan's Babylon.
@@KennyD-bi3ec Here is the problem , Everyone is getting the wrong Idea of The Bible ,and of God and of Jesus. lds in no way have the same God or Jesus that is in The Bible or the chosen. The chosen teaches that God has always been God The Father and that Jesus is The only begotten Son of God. But none of these lds that are posting are posting are being honest or they just simply don't know what their church doctrines are. Because lets be honest the lds church believes and teaches in its doctrines the their god was first a man a human being and that he had many wives here on earth and he had sex with one of them who then gave birth to a son and called him jesus, and then their god had sex again and gave birth to another son and his name is lucifer. So lets be very clear about this The True Bible does not teach what lds teach and that show that you lds keep praising as well as praising the chosen creator Dallas Jenkins teaches what he teaches is the exact opposite of what you believe so why don't some of you lds stop being afraid to say what your church doctrine teaches don't be afraid to tell these ignorant Christians what you are keeping from them. I have always been a believer but my husband has not, I was watching The Chosen one day and he sat and watched the entire season 2 with me and when it was over asked when season 3 was going to be on.... THAT, is why what your doing in important,, I thank God for The Chosen and all those involved in the making,, you are all reaching so many that really NEED to hear ...
The Thumb's Down is just to get your and others attention. Because your comment highlights one of the several DANGERS that The Chosen brings. While I love the show, have thoroughly enjoyed every episode, and recommend it often there is a DANGER that it will lead MANY to Idolatry and ultimately eternal torment in the lake of fire because it is lacking in the Theological Department. Granted, that's NOT what it's about but it's a truth nonetheless that can't be ignored. And when folks see comments like your "I have always been a believer" and then couple that with seeing the show and enjoying it they too may come to hold a false theology such as that. Or, worse, even think they can define their theology by the show! NO, you have NOT always been a Believer. If you truly meant that and believe that then you need to be saved.
@@magnetpi99 - See my comments to Teri. You two are in the same boat. Your Soteriology is completely unbiblical. See Romans 1 and 3 for starters. And if you wanna replace "God" with "Jesus" then you can jump on over to Jn. 6:44.
I can't imagine how hard it must be to live in a "fish bowl", where your every word and action is scrutinized. Your attempt to clarify past statements appears as an act of humility to me and I for one appreciate this. Is there really any Believer alive that has never acted in a way, or spoke in a way that today they'd not regret? I think not. God help us take our eyes off others, stop judging, and focus on Jesus Christ and loving and serving Him and reflecting His image to others. I'm a member of the LDS Church, and I've been binge watching The Chosen over the last few weeks. I can't adequately put into words how deeply this show affects me. I cry every episode multiple times. Thank you so much for making this series, for bringing the gospels to life in such an engaging and meaningful way. Every character is so well written and likeable! Even some if the "bad guys" are given realistic and complex personalities that make them feel authentic. Because I have an autistic son, I especially love the character of Matthew, and I just want to hug him! Of course, Jesus himself is portrayed as everything one could want in the Savior who patiently loves his followers, and who teaches them with both wisdom and humor! I don't know if I could be comfortable in the presence of God if he wasn't a little bit of a tease. This show is groundbreaking. Thank you!
Gee im catholic n we agree! lol im just joking.. but yes! what a moving show. I so love it. just found it, binge watching here also love it. Im not to worried God is gonna ask me at gates if im Catholic, LDS, Baptist, or what ever.. I mean come on people! LOL ok God Bless!
Hey I’m a born and raised Mormon and this is my absolute favorite show! It have revamped or reignited the fire and love I have for Jesus and our Heavenly Father! Also got me more tuned in with the Holy Ghost. Many episodes have broke me to where I needed to just pause and sit and let it out, alone. I don’t care what others believe in, I love everyone and will support everyone. I love your comment and couldn’t agree more. :) ❤
Prayers for your son. However, I must would be remiss if I did not warn you that Christ built His Church on St Peter (St Matthew 16:18), not Joseph Smith Jr. Do not follow a false church created by man over eighteen hundred years after Christ's earthly ministry.
@@batmaninc2793 read the verses again. Jesus was using a play on words with Peter's name, but the "rock" upon which his church would be built was Revelation, not any man, Joseph Smith Jr. or Peter. God knows how fallible man is, which is why we are to go straight to the Source.
"The show is not the end game..." I've heard this from Jerry Jenkins regarding the Left Behind book series as well. So important for everyone to remember-it is a step into exposing people to the character of Christ as revealed in the Bible. There is a disclaimer in the very first episode of the very first season. The Chosen is NOT a replacement for the Gospel, it's up to each of us to study scripture and have truth revealed too us by the Holy Spirit. For me personally, it has driven me deeper into the gospels and put flesh to the flawed people Jesus chose to surround Himself with. Thank you Dallas for your thoughtful statement.
The show is not the end game? So . . . there's an "end game" in all of this? That's a horrifying statement. The Antichrist has an end game also. It may look a lot like this. The Mormon Church is not a Christian church. They may be good people but they are NOT followers of Jesus Christ. Do you understand that? No good will come of believers in business with unbelievers preaching the gospel "together". The Apostle Paul made that very clear. You'll see when you get to "that part" of the book.
When people say "that's not in the Bible!" I just remind them, a lot of things weren't in the Bible. The apostles had lives that weren't described in detail, Yeshuah said way more things and performed many miracles that were not recorded.
I agree on both accounts, the chosen is giving us an opportunity to bring us closer to the savior of where we are in our lives already. Each one of our journeys will look different. This is an opportunity for me to draw even closer to my savior! And I have felt strongly the HG teaching me principles from these actors and actresses sharing these stories of our saviors life.
Wonderful explanation Nancy, I agree totally with you. there will always be disagreement with those who have a weak or distant relationship with Christ, and only want to be recognized for voicing opinions, opinions are like noses, we all have one and they're all different, they did it to Jesus and He said they would do it to His true followers as well, if they were truly followers they would be praying not criticizing to cause disencention and discouraging new seekers and believers 🙏
The problem is the Christ presented in The Chosen is nothing like the true Christ in scripture. However we have a vast number of professing Christians who are too lazy to read their bible (how you really get to know the true Christ) and would rather get a fake Jesus from a well produced TV show.
I love your comment about not knowing someone else's heart and mind. I am Catholic. I have only one good Catholic friend. My other good friends are non-denominational Christians, LDS, Episcopal, or Lutheran. I married a Methodist who went to 16 years of Catholic school. Taking the time to talk to others respectfully has been fruitful for all of us. I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing believers.
Katherine, I do believe you have the right attitude. Not sure what to say to comments such as given in reply to you above. Except a house divided in this new world will most likely be easier to be taken down by those who are truly 'not Christian'. I believe I would rather have one of your friends covering my back when things go bad.
I'm Catholic, but I basically have left the Catholic church because it has been infiltrated by evil, and I know there are good Catholic priests out there (I see some on TH-cam), but I don't have any around me. I honestly don't know what church to go to, of any denomination. So I sit at home and practise my faith privately. But there's a lot about being Catholic that I love, such as learning about Mary, learning about the angels etc.
I love Jesus Christ, and I'm always concerned at how He is portrayed in film so I was cautious in watching the Chosen, but I am sooooo happy with the spirit of this production! Thank you for putting this together and I say whatever denominations you work with to bring this forth, go for it!! As long as it continues to bring people closer to Christ, it is of God! And I love your loaves and fishes "logo"-- the idea that we bring our meager offering and He multiplies it into something amazing! The definition of this show!
I recently posted in a group of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, giving my heartfelt recommendation for The Chosen. And as the comments flooded in, they were ALL in praise of the show or saying thanks for the recommendation because they've heard good things but haven't seen it yet. So yes, while the show is not produced by the Church, many many members have received confirmation from the Spirit that it is truthful and good!
I Agree with what you said about The Chosen. I to have started to read the Bible really really, really for the first time in my life. So to Dallas and the Entire Cast, crew, writers, EVERYBODY Please 🙄 keep bringing this series to us. Cuz I need it. Thank 😊 🙏 😊 🙏 You
Thank you, Dallas for consistently role modeling how a true Christian behaves! You are doing God's work in more ways than one. "Tribalism" is indeed the biggest problem in the Christian world. Not the different doctrines, beliefs or interpretations of scripture, but the need to exclude others from the fold because we think our doctrines, beliefs or interpretations are superior and exclusive. If Christians feel a need to "stand against" something, how about standing against the growing tide of evil, apathy and suffering in the world? Its impossible to believe in a different Jesus than someone else because there is only one and He exists independent of any attempts to define Him. Our job is to follow Him and try to be like Him, not gate-keep who can and cannot be a part of His fold.
Muslims have Jesus in their Quran as a highly respected prophet. Is that the same Jesus of the Bible? Do they believe in the same Jesus we know of from our Holy Bible? Doctrine and theology matter. The first commandment is 'thou shall have no other gods before me and make no graven images'. The number one sin in the heart of all men is to reject God and make a god of their own imagination or become a lower case 'g' god themselves and rule themselves. That's why the first commandment was put their- to distinguish Yaweh from all other gods.
AMEN. let's all stop worrying about group mentality and focus on the main unifying point- Jesus is the Christ. God is love. Share. Live as he did. Love all as He did. The End. Forget titles, give up "ownership" of Christ and go and do his great commission.

Whether it’s not biblical or biblical what I learnt the most in the LDS Church is to have faith in God, to forgive and repent and that’s enough for me and the Chosen just makes the cherry on top..I’m a Child of God and that’s what matters I don’t spend time on things that don’t matter it’s a waste of time God Loves us all whether He is God or a God I don’t care He answers all our prayers and I have found Him by seeking Him diligently through the scriptures and I feel closer to Him
I am not LDS, but even if this show was produced by LDS believers, I would still watch it. The care taken with the word and the production value merit everyone’s time to view the show.
How about Jesus rehearsing the surmount on the mount... I can't wrap my mind around that one. Jesus IS the Word. He was in the beginning with God and he is God. Why would he need to rehearse?
@Renn So don't watch it. Apparently, you want a word for word rendition and not a dramatization. Even if you sit and read just whatever version of scripture you think is right, you are going to play it in your mind with whatever nit-picking colored glasses you are wearing. And you will ASSume you are right, of course. A little self righteous, don't you think. HUM, no wonder Jesus didn't like Pharisees.
@@dukeellington1987 I thought of that too but think of it this way - think of what an experience that was for Matthew. There were countless things that Jesus didn't need to do. But He did them for us, so we could see and learn. I can imagine Him rehearsing so that Matthew would have a chance to write it all down, so he could have an intimate experience in understanding how the Master's mind worked. Could this not have happened as one of the many ways Jesus did things specifically to involve men and women in His work?
I love The Chosen series. It is so refreshing to see something good in this day and age. I speak for many , thank you. Getting to know all the characters of the Bible is remarkable. Can’t wait to actually meet the real one’s in Heaven . And yes I read my Bible daily, so I know that the Chosen is not a replacement to reading God’s Word. God’s blessings to you and all the people involved in this remarkable series.
Dallas, thank you and I appreciate where you are coming from. I am a HUGE fan of The Chosen and recommend it to people all the time. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 30 years. We have sometimes been nicknamed LDS or Mormon which is sad because it leaves out the most important part of our religion: Jesus Christ. He is our Master and Savior. That is why The Chosen has such a large following from members of my church. We are indeed Christian. It is not a mistake to label us as such. So rest assured. It is NOT a mistake to ever call us Christians. We are proud to be so labelled. I am not incorrectly speaking for an entire group of people. Our name and website and all of our resources are abundantly clear on this matter.
@Juniper Cammack I've been a member for over 50 years and I'd be honored to have you say the same things I would have said. I agree completely. I'm sure many millions of other members do as well. ~ Ron Vincent ~
Dallas I’m grateful for you, your humility, and your love for God’s Word and the clarity in how you portray it in the series. I can say my love for Jesus has deepened because of it and I am grateful for it. Praying for God’s hand on the chosen as it moves forward. Cheering you on!
Yes! Let's give each other grace, love and patience. I can't imagine being in the spotlight and having everything I do and say scrutinized. You are doing an amazing job with the chosen! Thank you for all you are doing! I'm LDS and everyone I talk to that is LDS absolutely loves this show! It gives another perspective of Christ and His ministry that is so refreshing, real and respectful. Keep moving forward and letting the spirit guide. It's obvious that you are doing that!
Just wanted to let you know that when I started watching The Chosen I was watching to see how closely the show followed the actual Scriptures and was very pleased with the degree of effort to stick to simply the Scriptures! Without any hint of any attempt to convert to any particular domination. I love the series because it helps make the different stories of Scripture be more real when you can see faces and mannerisms and in turn it leads to a better understanding. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to see Scripture come to life! I am so very sorry that you have been put thru such undo criticism and I pray that it does not deter you from what I consider an anointed work. God bless you and all those who are dedicated to this project!
@@SaintsLoveThyNeighbor why does that bother you? Needing help doesn't imply weakness. Jesus needed all the disciples or he wouldn't have chosen any of them. Why do you conclude that infers weakness upon Christ?
The Chosen series brings life into the scriptures especially for those of us who are visual learners sometimes more than someone just talking. Anyone who walks in the Spirit can discern properly while watching the series. Looking anxiously forward to Season 3!!! 🤗🙏🏻🇺🇸❤️
GOD's WORD speaks to you when you read it. You are missing out on supernatural understanding if you do not read it. So read the WORD. Stop using visual learning as an excuse not to READ the WORD of GOD.
@@lorilfullermmd That’s not even what they said. I too am a visual learner. I read, but for something to be embedded to where I can fully understand, I need the help of visual aids. The Chosen has done that for many. Not just to understand but to feel the words and how they are connected to me.
The show may be a "tool" or a "step", but to me, it is Wonderful. It shows the strengths and weaknesses of the disciples, and reveals our kind, loving, winsome Saviour, Jesus the Christ. It points us back to the Bible, and brings the Gospel to life. Keep up the good work, Dallas. I am looking forward to diving into Season 3.
How about you turn your television off because that’s why it’s called telly vision programming get it programing and spend that precious time praying or sticking your face in a Bible television is a lie it’s there to deceive us and no true Christian would ever dare watch that program. This man kissed the pope‘s hand the pope he is antichrist and he’s kissing his hand no man on this earth can forgive sins only Jesus Or the most high you are falling for a Satanic agenda please I beg of you turn this off
These are not real or biblically accurateportrails. Dallas said in an interview here on TH-cam with Melissa Dockerty that 95% of the show is not found in the Bible. So, the show isn’t a tool. It’s just Dallas‘s ticket to Hollywood and he got it deceiving Christians in the process. The Lord will say to Dallas depart from me I never knew you. He is lukewarm and God was few him from his mouth. Dallas is a heretic. This show is not from God but from the devil himself. Wake up you are being deceived. Mormon LDS and Christians do not love or worship the same Jesus. Their Jesus is a created being an spirit brother to Lucifer.
@************************************ this exactly. That is probably the greatest offense. This show is taking the lives of real people and changing their stories to fit what Dallas wants them to be.
I find this message to actually be really sincere. I didn't even know it was an issue. Respect for clarifying. Thank you. Also, I always follow the guidance from Matthew 7:16 - "You will know them by their fruits." There is no logical explanation for The Chosen's inspiration than spiritually inspired. You clearly were led to create this show. As an LDS person myself, I never thought anything else, and I have always been taught that this applies to all people even outside the walls of the church. I also understand that our community can sometimes be a bit insular and has created bad blood with other denominations in the past by going around and telling people their faith is wrong or incomplete, and to follow us as the "only 100% true church." I think the church has kind of realized that maybe this 1800s enlightenment preaching style is not great for trying to become a unified body of people under our faith in Christ. I am really happy you posted this because it shows a fair representation of people's faith. I see myself as a Christian, and I 100% believe that you and your team behind this show were divinely inspired to create it, and I think it serves as a great lesson and reminder for LDS people of how God can work through people that are not LDS as well. I actually believe that God purposefully worked through you, as someone who is not part of the LDS community, because this lesson is very important for people in our church. Thank you, thank you, and THANK YOU! Everyone I know is so inspired by you.
The best thing that's happened IMO is The Chosen. I was drowning until The Chosen was brought to my attention. I thank God everyday because I've started really studying scripture whereas before I was just reading. Keep up the great work. I pray people stop dissecting every statement made and look internally. God bless you all
So sorry you had to deal with this. I love Jesus. The Chosen is my favorite depiction of the Savior EVER. Ever. I feel the spirit so strongly when I watch the series and honestly feel like it helps me to know my Savior better. I believe these complaints and arguments are from the adversary because it takes our attention away from where it truly needs to be: sharing the Chosen with everyone!! I am LDS. Every LDS person I have spoken to about this series loves it like I do. Dallas you are a blessing.
I am a Cradle Catholic who came back to Jesus a year and a half ago. I agree with you 100% on the depiction of Jesus in The Chosen. It has helped me form a more personal relationship with Him. Made me truly love him deeply in my heart. Whatever is going on with The Chosen, it is clear to me that it is guided by the Holt Spirit. It is bringing many to Christ! I have a dear friend who has introduced her daughter to Jesus and the Salvation story through The Chosen. Her daughter is 15, not baptized, and is discerning Christianity. She really likes the show, and we both agree, this is the most extraordinary portrayal or Jesus Christ either of us has ever seen. Pax vobis! 🙏🕊

Dallas, Thank you for the clarity & pointing us all back to God’s word. We initially were drawn to Season 1 during the Covid Lockdown & were so impressed by the Biblical accuracy of THE CHOSEN that we watched the full season 10-times and began contributing to the crowd-funding of Season 2. We have since supported and were extras in both the Sermon on the Mount (Frozen-Chosen) and in the F5K as well. We are so grateful for the continued faithfulness you and your entire crew have demonstrated in season 3 and share THE CHOSEN daily & pray for its continued impact on people around the world.
Those trapped in the lies of false churches are also victims of this world that ought to receive the true good news of Jesus. It's quite possible that learning about Jesus through something like the Chosen is what saves them. The show does not hide the fact that Jesus claims to be God.
Other people have already echoed what I wanted to say. I have one other thing to add. The show is gaining in popularity. That means you are on the radar and the enemy will DO whatever he can do to stop what God anoints. The attacks are coming hard. So, I would ask anyone who reads this that if you love this show and these people then lift them up in prayer and be the coving for them. They are over the target and the enemy hates it. You have my prayers. God bless you and God continue to bless the chosen.

The chosen is a very exceptional presentation of our Lord and Savior. Hollywood has never been able to capture the real Jesus. I can watch it over and over again and still receive the emotional experience of knowing Christ better.
Dallas, Thank you for all your transparency. To me personally, you've done an extraordinary job of making sure that what you've said is not misconstrued. I think you've even gone out of your way to make sure of that (not being misconstrued). I want to say that I prayed for something like this when I was an 11 yr that had reading/comprehension issues (severe learning disability) that I told him that I needed a some kind of visual. To me, first was the passion of the Christ and now the Chosen. Thank you for your obedience. This has been a tool to help my spectrum daughter who is between Matthew and Thomas relate better and understand what I've been trying to teach her for years. This has meant so much to me. God Bless you Dallas!
I almost never binge watch any tv shows, but I have binge watch The Chosen many times and have rewatched season 3 three times so far. Also, I want to say that I often forget that Jesus in the series is really Johnathan Roummie (SIC). This series is so well written and so well acted. I am a 77 year old evangelical who was saved in 1968 and have read and studied my Bible daily with prayer daily for many, many years.
I’m so sorry you have to deal with this as you’re so very busy getting this beautiful series out there for us all. This world needs to chill and just enjoy the real story of Jesus and his ministries. Dallas, you can’t keep everyone happy and focused on The Chosen, that’s not your job, it’s their choice to enjoy. Don’t question yourself, you’re doing beautifully. Don’t change a thing. We love you and appreciate your hard work. God bless you all in this amazing series.
Mr. Jenkins, I have listened to this entire video and agree with much of what you say. I am a huge fan of The Chosen and will continue to buy and watch this series as long as you all keep making it. I have been searching for God all my years of living and I have come to the conclusion that he has also been looking for me too. I am a believer of Christ 100% and always will be. God did NOT say I'm giving Hollie the job to judge people therefore I can move on. I am an imperfect human and do NOT judge anyone for any reason and stay in my own lane and continue to work on myself. I hope others do as well. God bless everyone and I pray he leads us all far away from our imperfections and bring us closer to him.
Actually, God did give you the job of judging others. It is called discernment in the bible and you will know them by their fruits is also in the bible.
God said to teach and correct people using his word. If you know that your fellow man is going to hell for their wrong beliefs and fail to warn them, you are just as responsible for their doom as they are. Ezekiel 3:18, NIV: When I say to a wicked person, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.
@@CommandoJenkins Yes we can warn, teach, preach, but not pester people to the point where they are totally put off as they have their agency to choose God or Satan.
It's a bummer with how much Dallas studies the bible, and talks about counterfeits ---He still thinks Mormons following the LDS beliefs, and love the same Jesus he has.
Love and appreciate all your work on chosen. Was in hospital recently and tried to share Jesus Christ so I wrote my name on the whiteboard in the room I was and wrote Chosen. Got to have many conversations about the show and of course Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Thank you & more blessings to you All IJCMN. Shalom
I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ (LDS). I appreciate the work you all do. Your portrayal of Jesus is my favorite, by far. And I've seen a lot of them. Christ lives!
I have lived in Utah since 1982, I was raised in several different Protestant/Evangelical Church’s in Northern California and chose the Roman Catholic Church as my Church in High School some 50+ years ago. I’m attending a Zoom Bible study using The Chosen out of St Rose of Lima Church in Simi Valley, Calif. It’s my sincere belief that The Choose is another tool God has given us to stand together with our Common beliefs as a group United that does not make us change or abandon our Core Doctrine beliefs of each of our Churches. I also sincerely believe that we are in another time of Separating the goats from the sheep is it the end of times I don’t know, but I do know if we don’t come together as Christians and stand up for for Our Lord, the people that belong to Satan will pick each Church off one at a time using other Christians/Churches to do it. God uses each one of us and has known each of us, Isaiah 43 and only He can Judge us in the end. To me this is just another wedge/attack Satan is trying to use for disunity so he can do his work. This year I’ve seen more Christian movies in Theaters then ever before, Purgatory, The Chosen Christmas, Fr Stu, Alive and several other previews from other Christian groups and Pro-Life. Prayers for your part in this, Dallas
problem is that the core doctrine of the Roman Catholic church are apostate. Praying to saints? Praying to Mary? believing that she is divine. All false doctrine.
I understand what you are saying. Thank you for clarifying that not everyone who belongs to any church group believe in the same Jesus. We are not in the position to judge the faith of another person. I so appreciate your candor in clarifying that. I am an evangelical who has a few LDS friends who I would say believe in the same Jesus I do. But only God knows our hearts. One thing I do know is that I love God & I am going to love the people around me.
@The Chosen Thank you for being so careful not to exclude any faith tradition. I see this show as one of those things that helps us come to a "unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God". Ephesians 4:13 I've never liked the idea behind saying "We don't believe in the same Jesus". Obviously, there is only one Jesus of Nazareth who inspired the writing of the NT. I feel it is much more charitable to say "We don't believe the same things about Jesus". It acknowledges differences without delegitimizing the other person's faith and experiences with the Savior.
Thankfully my first Pastor who was a humble Godly man, always told us to check everything he preached with the bible. I take the same approach to watching The Chosen and consider all of it. Thank you so much for giving a visual depiction of Christ’s time on earth! It gives me a better picture in my mind when I read God’s word! ❤️
Dallas and The Chosen are truly inspired. Thank you for helping us all feel closer to Jesus, for making him and his followers seem more realistic, and helping us understand the context behind the stories. We love watching every episode with our family.
The Chosen is wonderful and it uplifts my spirit. I am also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints and I do love The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thusly, I am Christian. I love that He is worshipped, no matter the Christian denomination. We need more of this type of program in the world today. The Savior needs all of us to share His gospel and live by His example of love and understanding.🙏😁❤️
May I ask what is the LDS's teaching on who Jesus is? Is it true that you believe Jesus to be Satan's brother? I notice you keep saying "the Saviour," which Jesus is our saviour, but do you worship Jesus as the one true God, as part of the trinity (Father, Son & Spirit)?
@@Matty_2_Tees I'd love to answer your questions if they are indeed asked in good faith: Yes, we believe Jesus is Jehova, the God of the Old Testament, and the great I AM. Yes, we believe that He, God the Father, and the Holy Ghost are one, but we do not believe in homoousios. We also believe that all are spirit children of God, including Satan and all the angels, making Christ our elder brother and making Satan our brother as well. We do not believe that this makes Christ any less holy.
@@tasamolic This is false. If you believe these things, good for you, but this is not what Mormonism teaches. According to Mormonism, Jesus is a man who achieved godhood, the same as others can achieve after they pass from this Earth. They do not believe that God, whom they call the first created being, is Jesus. If you believe in the Trinity (3 persons, but 1 God) good for you. I'm genuinely happy that you do, but that is not what the LDS Church believes, and that put you at odds with Mormonism as a whole.
@@samtr3992 this is absolutely incorrect. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I can tell you that we do not call ourselves Mormons and that we do not believe Jesus Christ is a man who achieved godhood. Jesus is Jehovah the Savior of the world. He is the Son of the Highest. My deliverer, Healer, and Savior. We worship the Father and the Son. It is arrogant to believe you know more about any other faith's beliefs than those who belong to it.
Dallas, I just have to say that because of you and your project and God's hand on all of this I am excited to open my Bible and read all the stories. Now when I read a character I can put a face to them and it just makes it feel more relatable having watched the Chosen (over and over again lol) and feeling a connection with the characters that they just don't seem so strange anymore. As if the bible were my personal family history! I love family history! Thanks to you I took action to read my Bible more and not just tell myself that I know I should read it more. Love you Dallas and all you allow the Holy Spirt to do through you. He is getting all of the glory!!!💞
Thank You!! I agree that having the visual of the faces and the accuracy of the background that they appear in has helped me in my readings of the New Testament especially. It has helped with the OT, as well.
I love the Chosen!! It's my favorite depiction of Jesus & the gospels next to Jesus of Nazareth ( which was a little more conservative). The Chosen is so down to earth and understandable even those who don't particularly know the scriptures can understand it. I feel moved every time I watch it and I believe the Holy Spirit will use the Chosen to lead people to Jesus and to read the Bible. God's ways are not our ways and He will use and lead men like Dallas and Jonathan to consider that God is real and loves them. Thank you Dallas and cast of the Chosen! GOD bless you and continue to use this series and ministry for His glory and will!!✝️🕊🙏💗
Dear Dallas. I thank you for the enormous effort of giving us such a vivid representation of the Gospel with love and respect for the Word. Many people is motivated to read the Bible again because of the show. You have done it with a pure heart and great generosity. For the rest "we all fall short of the Glory of God ".♡
I've posted this before, and I wanted to post again here. It was the criticism of you that lead me here. As a Deacon and Sunday School director of a Baptist church, I have had people including Seminary graduates do to me, what I saw others doing to you. Thanks for posting this and keep up the good work.
As a pastor's kid, I understand what you mean. When people decide to misinterpret you, they stop listening or even caring about the truth. The extent to which this happens among Christians is tragic.
Thank you for being so patient and transparent Dallas! I would encourage everyone and this includes myself, before jumping to conclusions, judging others and gossiping, is to first see and deal with our own issues of misgivings. And then truly seek the truth, to vet out the information before acting on being a whistle blower, making complaints and trouble for someone else. For one I am grateful for such a wholesome, well thought out program !! We are each responsible for our own walk with Jesus, reading and knowing the Bible. Walking our own walk as best as one can is our main responsibility.
You're so gracious to explain all of this. And it's helpful for people to be reminded that it's not wise to make assumptions about people's faith based on limited knowledge. I respect your message and advice to recognize that our ultimate authority and source for truth, after the Holy Spirit, is God's word. I appreciate you. My family enjoys your gift. We love the Chosen! I was beyond excited to hear you share on the last livestream that there will be 8 seasons in total. We're proud to support you and lift you and your family up in prayer.
I am an active LDS member. My husband and I absolutely love The Chosen. I have not heard any of those comments that Dallas is defending or commenting about. We love the same Jesus Christ and all of the characters in the Chosen. It is unfortunate that people from all denominations just live one another because of our differences. We are looking forward to the 4th season and we appreciate all the work that has been put into making it available for the world to enjoy. ❤
1 Timothy 2:5, for there is one God and one mediator between God and Men, the man Christ Jesus. Isaiah 44:6, thus says the Lord, the king of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts, I am the first and the last. And there is no God besides me. Isaiah 37:16: oh lord of hosts, the god of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim. You are the god, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the Earth. You have made heaven and earth.
Very few non LDS movies or videos are talked about during LDS church services but "The Chosen" has been referenced in talks and lessons over and over. You and your team are doing a fantastic job. Don’t allow comments of fools to distract you from this worthy mission. I am very dubious of any “Christian” who professes to tell others what they do or don’t believe. You’re very correct about the heart.
Do you then reject Paul? He held the body of Christ in Corinth accountable. I can't think of a single prophet or follower of Christ biblically that didn't. Are we "Fools" for questioning why unbelievers are behind the creation of the show? Or is it foolish to reject the words of our Lord when He states we are not to unequally yoke ourselves to unbelievers? Especially, when the assertion is that God Himself stated the characters of the Chosen are how people would come to visualize Him and His friends. Dallas has stated, that the majority of people affiliated with the show are unbelievers. How do unbelievers present the "Authentic Jesus", if they don't know the "Authentic Jesus"? Perhaps some of us know a little more about the creators of the show, have done detailed research, read their books, and followed their interviews and statements more thoroughly. Or perhaps some of us are just more devoted to the written Word than others. We are however praying for all affiliated with the show, and the viewership. We understand the danger in altering the way people visualize scripture by presenting assertions. It's true to say as Dallas has, to his credit, that the show is not a replacement for Scripture. It's also true to say that many visualize the characters on the show when reading their Bibles. Also true to say that this is the creator's goal.
@@dsmith0106 my point exactly. I think the wise stance to take it to attempt to emulate Christ-like compassion towards others, even of completely different faiths, meanwhile focusing on getting and keeping your own house in order.

Dallas, thank you for your integrity as a Christian. I am LDS, and thank you for doing such a great work with The Chosen. I believe that you are divinely inspired in this work.
LDS is actually a different gospel. In Galatians, Paul says that, "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed." Gal 1:8 And it was an angel who presented the book of Morman to their founder, Joseph Smith.
The Book Of Mormon is not a contrary book to the Bible. It adds to it , to testify of Christ. I want to be part of a church that doesn’t hate on other religious beliefs.
@@robertvanwijmeren2685 You are right, but you haven’t read the Book of Mormon either, so if you want to make an argument on this case, I suggest you read The Book of Mormon yourself and more fully understand why we believe that both the Bible and The Book of Mormon go hand in hand. There’s a reason why The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ.
Please don't feel that everyone feels this way Dallas the show you put out is amazing touching & shows the love of Jesus for us. Thank you for your work 🙏

@@eagleclaw1179 These things really do blow the human mind, don't they?! Anyway, I hope this helps... 1. Jesus was always there from the beginning: He was the Word of God and was God... John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. Jesus was God and is "I Am", a very sacred name of the Almighty God (the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), which when uttered idly was considered blasphemy... John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I Am.” 3. Jesus was not "created" in the full sense of the word because He was always there and was and is God in the first place. But we are told that He became flesh and took on the likeness of man in humility to become a servant and a sacrifice for us. John 1:13 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Philippians 2:7 But made Himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. Jesus was God in the first place, which is different from the Egyptian god philosophy that one was human and then became a god after death like the Pharaohs believed. He had to leave His former glory to walk on earth as a human and when the Bible talks about Him ascending to heaven and being given glory and sitting on the right side of God, it's really talking about a reinstatement of the glory and I believe that His form is probably now different compared to how He might have been like as "the Word". But I guess I'll find out eventually. Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one God. The Hebrew term Elohim is actually a plural form, but in the text, it reads to the equivalent of "Elohim is". Amazingly awesome!
@@lollipop2993 I’m a Christian, I believe in the God, the 1 and only true God. As far as your explanation of Elohim, I understand what you are saying, but I would suggest that you familiarize yourself a little better with how Elohim is used in scripture. Elohim is not a proper name for God, Elohim is used to describe, men, angels, and judges. So it would be incorrect to say Elohim is used only for God
@@eagleclaw1179 I get you. We call God 'God', but "gods" is also the term used to refer to the deities of the Hindus, the Romans and Greeks, etc., and we call Jesus 'Lord', but that can refer to lords as in lords and ladies, and we use 'my lord' in a courtroom for a male judge, so it's the same situation I guess. Our God is the one true God and so we use a capital to show that. In some Jewish prayers and blessings, Elohim is used to address God, and Elohim is present right from Genesis 1:1. Hebrew, as far as I know, is the only language that shows the plural "Gods" with a singular verb showing the multiplicity of God but still referring to Him as one. That's why I put that example in there. Thanks for getting back to me. Hope and pray you walk closer with the Lord each day, and that He will reveal more truth and glory to you just as I desire for myself.

I am so proud of Dallas!!! He has taken the high road with the comments made about him personally or the the way he’s used his God-given gift to change people’s lives through The Chosen series! (I am certainly one of them) I am sure that God is well pleased because of the untold numbers of souls who have received His Son as their Savior and/or have rededicated theirs lives or has found new hope in their season of pain and suffering!(🙋🏽♀️) My prayer is that God will continue to bless and use this man (and all involved with The Chosen) to spread the good news of Jesus Christ! I also pray as well that Almighty God our Father would touch the hearts of those who maybe spiteful, jealous, influenced by the devil or just not a faithful follower of Christ! To God be all the glory, honor and praise!!! In Jesus’ mighty, matchless and marvelous name. Amen
I think your followers would be amazed at how many Latter-day Saints love The Chosen and the work you are doing. When it comes to the Savior, we are much more similar than we are different and I have thought about how you are putting Jesus out there for people to truly come to know in a deeply personal way at a critical time in the world’s history. So thank you from one whose home is covered with paintings of He who is my King and friend, Julie
No, we don't want to be God. We are not looking to become God and equal to God or above God. We are here to serve God. That's the difference. Left hand vs right Hand.
The real Jesus is the one in the Bible... not the chosen.... want to make a "LDS" disagree? Represent Jesus as HE did in the Bible... that is the opposite of what we see in the comment section. Let's stick our heads in the sand and pretend that is not a problem....
@ J Turner no actually you are not more similar, I am amazed that every single Mormon who so claims to love this series doesn’t grasp the episode: I am He when Jesus is at the well talking to the Samaritan woman. The Chosen is directly quoting the Bible correctly when Jesus refutes you Mormons on the Father ever being a man Jesus spells it out clearly to the woman the father is not a man so how do love a show that refutes your heresies you can’t explain it away to your kids it’s right there in living color and audio the Father is not a man the Father is Spirit and only Spirit.
Hey, man. Like many of the comments before, can't thank you enough for helping bring The Chosen to life and allow millions more people become more acquainted with Jesus. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I don't know all the specific differences between Christian and non-Christian religions, but I'm thinking we could all stand to be a little more Christ-like no matter where we worship. I'm grateful for all that The Chosen has done to get us a little closer to that goal. Keep up the the great Work, brother.
@ Tim Johnson if you truly want to start to understand the differences, you need to realize that; The Bible isn’t corrupted, 23,000 ancient manuscripts and the Dead Sea Scrolls plus the writings of the Apostolic fathers is proof it’s not altered and our translations are correct. Also the Christian faith and it’s beliefs were not lost once the Apostle John died that’s actually insulting to Christianity it claims those persecuted and martyred during the 150 yrs of persecution didn’t know who they were following in Christ and what they were dying for . Didn’t it occur to you to wonder why your BOM is written in the Kings English of 1611 and is almost formatted like the KJV if the Bible when in 1830 no one in the America’s spoke the Kings English so why would God address Smith in a language America’s didn’t speak? Furthermore why did Smith plagiarized 27 chapters from the KJV w 17 th century added italics that aren’t in the original apparently Smith lied to Mormons the Bible isn’t corrupted after all if he’s willing to outright steal word for word from the Bible!
@@Pkicker3 Hey, man. I appreciate the time you took to respond to my post. I'm grateful to all those early followers of the Savior who paved the way on a road to a happier life. I love the Bible! I love the humility of Moses, the courage of Joseph, the determination of Paul, and everything in between--especially the words coming from The Word Himself. We are truly blessed to have those scriptures! As far as the Book of Mormon goes, man, I love that book, too! It's not a record of God addressing one person, it's a history book largely covering about a thousand years of a family from Jerusalem that ended up in the Americas. If you've ever felt the Holy Spirit testify to you while reading the Sermon on the Mount in the book of Matthew (I love that part!), then I can promise you that you'll feel that same Spirit reading about the Savior's interactions with the people in the Americas. As for why the Book of Mormon was translated into a style more like the King's English, I don't know the answer to that one. All I know is that when I read from that book, I get the same brilliant inner vibe I get when I'm reading the Bible. Much success to you brother! Thanks for being a follower to the ultimate example who we should all be following!

You have a false Jesus; Lucifer’s brother who became a God by obeying law like his God before him. This is contrary to the Jesus taught in John 1 and the rest of the Bible who has always been God. Isaiah 43:10 says that there is only one God, Mormonism teaches that there are trillions of Gods and you can become a God one day.
There is only one God. There will only ever be one God. Isaiah 46:9-10 ESV - 9 remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ Flee this false church while you can.

Bible is very clear not to add anything to the bible or take away. So called prophet Joseph Smith has created his own version of the bible via book of Mormon Revelation 22:18-19 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Friend. The Mormon church believes a false gospel and false Christ. The Mormon church believes God is a created being and has not existed for all eternity. The Bible is clear that God has existed for all eternity and there was never a time where there was other gods. None before him or after him. God says he doesn’t even know of any other gods. He’s the first and the last. The Mormons do not believe this. They believe he was a human that became God and one day we can become Gods too. They also believe Jesus is lucifers brother when the Bible is clear that Jesus created all things, including Lucifer. The Mormon church is full of lies and has a long history of abuse and scandals ever since it’s inception. Turn from this false church and believe the Christ of scripture, the one who has existed for all eternity with the father and the Holy Spirit. Repent and put your faith in the true Jesus. Dallas, thank you for this! I think it is really sad that you even have to do it. I saw (did not watch) a 5 hour video on why people should NOT watch The Chosen! I AM LDS, raised Pentecostal, and find it very interesting that people feel to judge whether or not someone is or is not a Christian! I wonder if they have read the scriptures where Jesus gave this advice (for lack of a better word) Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, mind and might. And thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets!! If we would ALL try to obey these two commandments we wouldn't have all this division and incorrect judgements about others. I love The Chosen, was turned on to it by one of my LDS friends! Several of my LDS friends watch it, and I personally have encouraged my family and others to watch it. I think you are doing a wonderful job. I believe that Heavenly Father loves each of us so much that He provides MANY different ways for us to come to Him and to Jesus, as each of us are very different from one another. And you are providing one of those ways. Keep up the good work and know that a lot of us love and appreciate you and all of those who are working with you to bring us closer to Jesus Christ.
@@tkc3742 simple. One who proclaims themself to be Christ. But clearly is not. There have been people who claimed themselves to be a reincarnation of Jesus. Kinda self explanatory why they are false Christs. I think the fact that so many LDS people and other Christian’s are identifying with the Jesus Christ portrayed in “The Chosen” probably would be an indicator of how closely the LDS faith and other Christian faiths understand Christ.
@@chrisblanc663 Yes, someone falsely claiming to be Christ would be a false Christ, but so would a teaching about Christ that is non Biblical. For example, Islam teaches that Jesus didn't die on the cross. That is a false Christ that cannot save. Mormonism teaches that Christ is not the eternal God, just one of many gods and that Christ's work on the cross is not enough to save, rather salvation is "after all we can do." That too is an un-Biblical and therefore, false Christ.
@@tkc3742 depends on your definition of “all we can do” what if that just means accept Christ as savior. It’s a frustratingly vague term. But then it’s also not definitive. Also James 2 states that faith without works is dead. You wouldn’t claim that James was a false Christ for focusing on a particular point. What if the works means love God, love your neighbor? Also perhaps simantics. But this is the definition of false Christ in case you were legit asking: FALSE CHRIST, ψευδόχριστος, G6023, one who makes a spurious claim to be the Messiah. So it isn’t false teachings about Christ. LDS follow the same messiah that we read about in the New Testament. They do have some doctrinal ideas and views that are different then other Christian groups. But that is similar to how different Christian denominations understand grace, or baptism, or miracles etc…
Do you not know that mormonism teaches that God is just a man who came from another planet; where they say he also practiced mormonism? And that Jesus and Satan were both *created* by God and that they are brothers?

Yes, we do hold beliefs somewhat akin to what you describe here. The whole point of this video is that just because someone holds certain beliefs different from yours doesn't mean that they as a whole believe in a different god than you or hold wildly different values from you. What you've said is similar to me saying "Did you know that Catholics believe that the sacrament is LITERALLY the body of Christ?" Or "Did you know that evangelicals believe that the trinity is LITERALLY one being?" there is no substance in these statements at all, they are just lazy attacks at someone's beliefs. Nobody is getting convinced by something like that, you are actually just hardening hearts. @@nathantagg2691 Roman Catholic here. You might remember us from such instances as the time we were founded by Jesus Christ (circa A.D. 30) and when we provided the canon of Sacred Scripture in A.D. 382 at the Council of Rome under Pope Damasus I. The problem with your post is that these words and teachings you're claiming to be false come from none other than Joseph Smith Jr. himself. Whom Joseph Fielding Smith also adds that Jr. was given the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven by Christ, in "Doctrine of Salvation", and anyone who doesn't believe that goes to Hell. Which ultimately ends up calling Christ a liar since He said the Church built on St. Simon-whose name Christ changed to the Aramaic "Kepha" (Rock; see St. John 1:42)-is what Jesus calls "My Church" and says, "the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it". It is because Mormonism teaches that neither the Father, nor the Son, nor the Holy Ghost are eternal, but created beings, that Mormons can not be called "Christian" by definition. Edit: Also, "Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood shall have eternal life; and I shall raise him on the last day." (St. John 6:53-54)

He didn't die to create religion's he died to show the world that they we're sinners and that we need him because we will always fall short. We all need to repent because the hour of the coming of the messiah is very close. Regardless of what you think about the LDS church I will say this. God will use whatever and whoever he chooses to advance his kingdom and I just want to thank everyone including the LDS church for helping to make this show possible. Richard, this is the best post!!! I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I appreciate your words very much. We are ALL fallen. We are here to learn and progress. We are to seek Him and to emulate Him the best we can. We are ALL God's children, and we all hear Him in different ways. We have been given agency to choose who, where, what, why and how we each believe. We are ALL connected as sisters and brothers like you said. Contention is not the answer for it drives the Spirit away. When that happens, it is harder to discern truth. Thank you for sharing truth. Love = good works = charity. This is what the Christ I know (personally) wants us to strive for daily with our fellow man - not the opposite. And you are right, repentance is Joy and He is indeed coming soon. Many great things ahead. Keep spreading Light. and Hope. :)
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am pretty sure that the Jesus I love, follow and serve is the same one that is being portrayed on CHOSEN (the Jesus from the scriptures). I have visited SEVERAL churches and got to know them at a deep level (long story), and I'm always surprised at how much gossip and energy goes into criticizing other people's beliefs (maybe because Christians are still learning how to love and respect one another, just like at the time of Jesus). I love the show CHOSEN, and my family and I will keep watching it. I also think that we have to pay attention close attention to "division and contention among churches" because this is not the Lord's way. I hope the Second Coming happens sooner than later 😅.
But the LDS believe Jesus is a god not God Almighty. To deny the divinity of Christ is no small error. How do you reconcile your beliefs with the 1st and 2nd century beliefs of the martyrs of the Early Church? What you believe is different from what they believed, what the Apostles taught, and what their disciples taught. First generation disciples of the Holy Apostles, such as Polycarp, Clement, and Ignatius. Nevertheless, love of Jesus and of God, and acknowledging the Holy Trinity is not a bad thing, it is a very good thing, and in these things there certainly is common ground.
We are told to test the spirits to see if they are from God. We're not told to just live and let live and be one, happy, "Christian" family. In the case of LDS, the spirit isn't from God, and your beliefs are just a little different, they're heresy. It doesn't matter which Jesus you think you're following, when you start right off the bat by saying God is an exalted man and we can be like Him one day if we do everything right. Nah.

Dallas thank you for the Chosen! These last three years have been so awful and watching The Chosen has given a light in my world. I have lost several loved ones and not having had a strong religious connection in my life currently it has given me something to think about. I actually got out my Bible to read and feel a strong need to have it with me when I travel. I am finding comfort it in. I understand that the show may not be word for word as the Bible but it gives us hope. It has given me hope and I have desperately needed that. It has made me more curious as to what the actual scriptures say. I am actively looking to better understand the life of Christ and I have never had that desire. So I think the purpose was to get people thinking and curious and eager to learn more. It has done that for me and my husband. This world has changed so much and not always in a good way. So I needed something to help me and the Chosen has helped. Personally I think the world of Christianity in general is under attack. I think that is what we should all be concerned about. That is the real evil we all have to worry about. I was grateful to find something I could watch that made me feel good and to want to learn more about Jesus Christ. Something positive to think about and get my mind off the events taking place in our world. Something that caused me to think more about my own life and spirituality. I am only beginning but I thank 'The Chosen' for being there to inspire me to want to do this. I look forward to the next season. With all the evil and bad things in our world I think it so sad that people can not see the good The Chosen, the people involved in the series have been trying to do for all of us. Again thank you, I really needed this wonderful series.
"Personally I think the world of Christianity in general is under attack. I think that is what we should all be concerned about." Yes! And the attack is not coming from without, it is coming from within Christianity. Some little-known guy once said, "A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand." What is this backbiting of other Christians but the devil's attempt to divide and conquer the kingdom? The whole basis of Jesus' teachings is LOVE--for God, for your neighbor, and for yourself. He continually criticized the Pharisees for thinking they were better and more worthy than anyone else. "Work out your own salvation..." and allow others to work out theirs. If all Christians were working on love instead of putting down others' beliefs, Christianity would be doing amazing things in our world, just as it did in the beginning. All the backbiting and holier-than-thou is stunting our growth and limiting our understanding of God and Jesus. Keep up the good work, Dallas!
Well done and well said. We attended a presbyterian church but I grew up with the Mormon church and I can say with great confidence that all of the LDS folks I know absolutely love Jesus!!! We may disagree on predestination or other human philosophical issues but as far as the big picture is concerned, we love Jesus and its all about faith through His Grace. God Bless all y'all!!!!
If Christians believe Jesus is God and always existed and was not created, and Mormons say Jesus is only Gods Son and there is not a trinity, we are not following the same Jesus.
I’ve been teaching my son the same thing. Always go back to the original source. Unfortunately, even churches can me misguided so it is important for us as individuals to keep a constant communication with God and the Holy Spirit. Just like you said, memorize the true scripture so you can immediately recognize when something is counterfeit. I’m even to the point where I don’t trust scripture posted online. I’d rather refer to a printed Bible that was published many years ago before things could be so easily changed.
If you did that, you would've known that is exactly what this idolatrous "show" does. Second commandment, you Shall not make any Graven Images of Me. Start with that, and then all the "spicy" woke/progressive garbage this show adds and you have an addictive drug.
@@einarabelc5 I’m sorry you feel that way. Just be careful, your anger and resentment is just as bad in God’s holy eyes. Luckily for all of us, Jesus died for those sins.
Lydia Lenington: Good point. Of course Joseph Smith said the Bible was not correct, and he "corrected" it. So for a Mormon, it's the Book of Mormon. I also went back to the "original source" of Dallas statement and it makes me sad to say that he did indeed say the following: " For all the stuff maybe we ( referring to Mormons) don't see eye to eye on, that's all based on stuff that happened after Jesus was here, the stories of Jesus we do agree on and we love the same Jesus....I'll sink or swim on that statement. It's controversial and I don't mind getting criticized at all for the show and I don't mind being called a blaspheemer. I don't like it when my friends are, and I made it very clear that if I go down, I'm going down swinging, protecting my friends and my brothers and sisters. So I don't deny we have a lot of theological differences, but we love the same Jesus." There are other interviews where he repeated the comment about "the same Jesus", but this is at least from one interview. So for him to deny saying it is a little troubling. The beliefs fof Mormons regarding "the sameJesus" are WAY beyond "some theological differences " ! Yikes.. For Mormons, Jesus is NOT the savior....he's just a "fallen" human elder brother...which is rather how the movie is portraying him. Someone people can "relate" to in their falibility...for sure. If Dallas could have just said something like "I have friends in the Mormon faith who I do believe follow what the Bible teaches about Jesus" , or just put it in some context..But instead he digs in, deflects, diverges and goes off in every direction except the one thing that would have easily and simply clarified.....is the "real" Jesus "THE" Jesus of the Bible ? Yet, even here, in this new "statement" he says " If you'd like to know where I stand on Jesus and where I stand on my faith......and then never states it. He never once says, that he believes Jesus is the Savior. Why would anyone avoid stating that if they believe it? And especially to simply clarify this whole Mormon issue since many people do know that Mormons do NOT believe that. And if someone DID believe that Jesus was the Savior, they could not call themselves LDS/Mormon. The doctrine is VERY different. Dallas has offered too many words to hedge, divert and deflect, going off on tangents that don't really fit the issue... why? And to actually deny what he said and say it was lied about? Every "complaint" that I've seen has included an actual clip of him SAYING what he said.....yet he implies otherwise. For me, THAT is a big problem here. Truth is truth. Truth is simple. Lies get super complex. And when they get complex, they create doubt. I think Dallas is a smart guy. So why create this problem for his own self when it could have been cleared up easily. This could all have been so simple and not require video after video ...just state your beliefs "who" the "real" Jesus is so people understand where you stand. Why so hard?. In other interviews I've heard him claim he doesn't know what the Mormons believe and then in the same interview , he kept changing that statement so by the end it's impossible to know where he stands on Mormon beliefs. Mormon friends? NO one is criticizing that. Love all. That's clearly not the issue here. The trouble is, why is it so hard for him to clarify hie actual beliefs and position? And, hey, if he doesn't even belive in Jesus and makes an inspiring movie about him, , I don't even have a problem with that. But it's the deception that is the problem. People don't lie unless there is something they need to conver up. That's the sad part here. But.... back to the beginning...I agree, the safest thing is to read the Bible IN CONTEXT and find out what a Christian actually believes according to it's founder.! And it might also help, especially now with so much deception running ramant, to pray like there is no tomorrow ( to the REAL God). I will let God take care of the rest. Blessings!

I'm curious if you would agree that you believe in the same Jesus as Biblical Christians? Do you believe that Jesus is the Eternal God and there are no other Gods before or after him? (Isaiah 44:6) Do you believe that going to heaven is through faith alone by God's grace? (Ephesians 2:8-9) Or do you believe that "through the atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel"? The answer is of eternal importance. Paul wrote to the Galatians that those preaching a gospel other than the gospel of grace are preaching a gospel that damns. (Galatians 1:6-9)

Everyone who has ever lived will be resurrected. It requires nothing of us. Grace alone. 2- There are many degrees of glory of Heaven. There is broadly, “Heaven,” and even more specifically, there are varying glories to which we can be resurrected to based on how we lived our life. Our desires, intentions, behavior and obedience to the will of God determines which glory we will be restored to. Paul described it, “40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption;” answering to your question, “by obedience to the laws…” is referring to the laws of which glory. Paul also mentions “the third Heaven” in 2 Corinthians 12:2 3- We love the Bible and believe the Bible. The “biblical Jesus,” required ACTION and effort in all things. Here are a handful of examples which include warnings, qualifying efforts or situations surrounding “saving.” “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:24 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7 (24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock…) 22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matthew 10 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. Mark 8 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10 Words Jesus used which require personal effort: Enter Seek Knock Ask Receive Follow Love Preach Feed Trust Believe Endure Pray Repent Faith So much more! These words serve a purpose. Our desire to obey the will of the Father makes a huge difference. Jesus taught us to submit to His will. We must become sanctified and be clean to be able to stand in His presence. 4- We believe in God, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. There is no other Savior, no other God we worship- nor ever will. Satan has a goal to divide, confuse and bring misery. Members of our church are hated without cause. I pray to the same God you do. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I do my best to repent, repent, repent as I work to walk as Jesus walked. He showed the way. Sitting at a new Bible study, where everyone was introducing their religious background, I saw many faiths represented all holding a Bible in their lap. Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic, baptist, etc… they were all welcome. But when I shared the church I attend, I was not welcome. I had no problem with anyone else’s religion, Jesus wants us to gather in His name. He promised, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” The varying differences in the details of a religion do not need to stop us from uniting as brothers and sisters in Christ. I will continue trying to gather with all I can in His name and fully intend to feel His presence. I pray anyone with ears to hear, will hear.

I say it doesn’t matter your statement (I haven’t heard or read)I believe those that believe or don’t believe in Jesus are still loved by HIM…your show is at the very least getting the “likeness” of Jesus and what he did for EVERYONE, is what really matters…Planting the Seeds that Hollywood refuses to do…WE ALL need to know and love HIM, but there’s sooo much noise that is intercepting the path we should be focused on…I’m a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints “LDS” and I LOVE your show and look forward to more and more seasons of such…I’ve sent your merchandise to a Sister in Christ not of my faith…what we have in common, we Love Christ and strive to follow HIM❤️We both love you and your work❤️Thank you🙏🏽
As a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I just thank you so much for the Chosen. I feel the Holy Spirit testifying the truth and the message of Jesus Christ when I watch it. And I love thinking about how it gathers so many of different faiths and beliefs together. Thank you for working so hard to portray the Jesus I imagine as I read scripture. It has helped me to improve on my relationship with Him as I pray and study scripture more intensely. God bless you and your work.
@@TheMICMusicInspirationChannel The same "Holy Spirit" that teaches us all things (John 14:26). I wonder whether you have read what the Book of Mormon actually teaches about Jesus Christ. Would you be willing to read one chapter? I recommend Moroni chapter 7 as a good summary of the book's Christology.
I just want to add say that, despite my previous more critical comments, I want to praise Dallas for taking the time to remind us that The Chosen is here to encourage people to read the Bible, not to replace the Bible! I think this is so important and couldn’t be said more!
We are not Mormon, we don't care what anyone says, we believe God has used you and this series to reach many people and show them Jesus. We love it and are rewatching it with our children to show them a correlation to the Word and stories they are learning.
Dallas' discernment can not be trusted. He said that talking to Dr. Zachariah was the closest he's ever came to seeing Jesus face to face yet it was discovered that Dr. Zachariah was an adulterer and a r@pist. He also said The Chosen started at Harvest Bible Chapel (The church he attended for years). The pastor from Harvest Bible Chapel taught unbiblically and was arrested for abuse, including making a comment about child p*rn. The Chosen is also unbiblical, there is a scene where "Jesus" says "I am the law of Moses." That was never stated in the Christian Bible, it's stated in the Mormon bible.
@@JesusLightsYourPath Two things. "I am the law of Moses" was never said in the Book of Mormon, and we members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints do not have our own Bible, it is the stick of Joseph. Article of Faith 8, which is doctrine for our church and clearly states our believe, says "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God."
I was seriously confused by where you were going with this until half way through when you talked about “studying the real thing”..as opposed to all the counterfeit’s. That was good. Great show. Be proud and acknowledge that regardless of the denomination and/or religious sect, the show has started dialogue and brought people together again in unity in some form or another and a time in the world is greatly divided. I feel like anytime a good piece of entertainment comes along with the pics the Lord, when it is popular you also get another group of people that want to hate it just because they think that people are turning it into a religion. This is an artist depiction of the gospels And it’s very well done. Congratulations.
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. @@mgwood6939 Haha the Bible is not a transcript of the truth of all things ever. How silly and childish to believe so. How refreshing! Thank you, Dallas. I am a Christian and love Jesus with all my heart, and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I use your show all the time to introduce people to Jesus. You have made it easy to share the good message of the gospel and to start conversations about Jesus. I share your show with all my friends. God bless you and your team for the great work you are doing!
Unfortunately Mormons don't believe the same things about Christ as Christians do, many are in stark contrast. However you can follow the teachings of Christ even if your religion teaches differently about who He is
LDS is actually a different gospel. In Galatians, Paul says that, "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed." Gal 1:8 And it was an angel who presented the book of Morman to their founder, Joseph Smith.
Thank you so much for your hard work and inspiring insight to bring the Savior to life. I am LDS who has completely loved & learned so much from all the characters you have brought to life including Bro Roumie’s portrayal of Jesus. I believe we can find truth in lots of places because I have a firm testimony that God loves all of His children and is Divinely involved with all who loves and follows Him.
What do you think President Hinckley meant when he stated that the LDS church teaches a different Jesus than historic Christianity? The Bible teaches that there will be false Christs that will not save. Are you you sure that Joseph Smith taught the true Christ? He was unable to translate the book of Abraham as now admitted by the LDS church.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No one goes to the father except through HIM 🙌🏼 Those are Jesus’s words, not mine but I think that it’s very clear that He is truth.
The content of the show is about how Jesus taught that his words were for everyone. The rich, the poor, the wise, the shepherds, the tax collectors, the Jews, the Sadducees and everyone else! So, I think we can all know Jesus and be part of his gospel. That is always a personal journey and He knows our hearts, our actions and whether or not we are a Christian. I love the work you are doing and how it impacts me and others, Dallas! Keep up the cause and thanks for explaining your thoughts and love for LDS people!

Beautifully said!!

You've, obviously, not read the Bible.
The chosen is a blasphemous piece of junk.
I hope you don’t feel the weight of having to say just the right thing every time. What a hard thing to carry. Be encouraged.
Deut13 says the same thing: the prophet that presumes to speak in the Name of God will DIE if he teaches falsehoods.
Such is the reality of one who tackles something as weighty as the person and ministry and mission of Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God.
@@MargaretWalkerCellist that is about prophecy, not every word that comes out of their mouths.
He should feel the weight. The message of Jesus is no small thing and must be presented with care and 100% accuracy. The seriousness of the gospel must be felt. Jesus is not trivial.
The show has really helped in reading my Bible and the visualization of everyone as real people 😍
“The show is not a replacement for scripture.” ❤️ I’m glad to hear you say this, because many people are putting the show in that place (not your fault). Thanks for the show, pointing people to Jesus, the word, and the local church.
Jack it is also in the first season prior to the opening scene.
@@KennyD-bi3ec I completely agree with you. Absolutely love what you said about factions being too busy admonishing each other, well said.
At least other cults are not ashamed of their god and are at least honest in what they believe.
Dallas, words matter but actions speak louder than words. One only has to watch The Chosen to understand what is in your heart. Sholom

That’s nice that they’re friendly but I hope you understand they’re not Christian’s. That’s the main concern for everyone

Catholicism has teachings that contradict scripture. Everyone should leave Catholicism, it is not of God.
Christ crucified. Period. Best commentary on the Bible IS the BIBLE.
Valea: Beautifully stated.
Whatever we " believe," we must care about how we behave as believers.
Yes, it is "tribalism," at the root of division.
AMEN. let's all stop worrying about group mentality and focus on the main unifying point- Jesus is the Christ. God is love. Share. Live as he did. Love all as He did. The End. Forget titles, give up "ownership" of Christ and go and do his great commission.

One of my favorite aspects of this show is the context I get that isn't available in the scriptures. Kinda like understanding Isaiah! Context and understanding the references is helpful.

But He did them for us, so we could see and learn.

Marcia Olson well said 👏👏
Just here to say I love the chosen and hope everything works out!

God Bless You more and more.
Amen!
@@CommandoJenkins Yes we can warn, teach, preach, but not pester people to the point where they are totally put off as they have their agency to choose God or Satan.
as a full gospel Christian, and a lifetime student of the Bible, I am amazed and moved how well you portray the fathers heart in the Chosen!
Yes, yes! That Zoom class sounds fun!
problem is that the core doctrine of the Roman Catholic church are apostate.
Thank you for your comment.
Thank you for this reply! I agree wholeheartedly. My family loves The Chosen and looks forward to season 3! The show has brought us closer to Jesus.
@The Chosen Thank you for being so careful not to exclude any faith tradition. I see this show as one of those things that helps us come to a "unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God". Ephesians 4:13
I've never liked the idea behind saying "We don't believe in the same Jesus". Obviously, there is only one Jesus of Nazareth who inspired the writing of the NT. I feel it is much more charitable to say "We don't believe the same things about Jesus". It acknowledges differences without delegitimizing the other person's faith and experiences with the Savior.
Well said!
That is great advice your pastor gave you.
Exactly what I did, the result was clear: GTFO away from this show.
"It gives me a better picture in my mind when I read God’s word"! The very reason we were given the 2nd Commandment.
@@Matty_2_Tees I'd love to answer your questions if they are indeed asked in good faith:
Yes, we believe Jesus is Jehova, the God of the Old Testament, and the great I AM.
Mormons aren't Christian

Jesus came first to the Jews ….
… and then to all gentiles …

How simply PRECIOUS & GLORIOUS !!! HALLELUJAH !!!

So the fact that Jesus is created and didn’t become god until after he ascended into Heaven, that doesn’t matter?
@@eagleclaw1179 These things really do blow the human mind, don't they?!
Anyway, I hope this helps...
1. Jesus was always there from the beginning: He was the Word of God and was God...
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2. Jesus was God and is "I Am", a very sacred name of the Almighty God (the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), which when uttered idly was considered blasphemy...
John 8:58
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I Am.”
@@lollipop2993
I’m a Christian, I believe in the God, the 1 and only true God.

@ Tim Johnson if you truly want to start to understand the differences, you need to realize that;
The Bible isn’t corrupted, 23,000 ancient manuscripts and the Dead Sea Scrolls plus the writings of the Apostolic fathers is proof it’s not altered and our translations are correct.

The Mormon gospel does not save. Watch apologia studios videos on Mormonism to learn more PLEASE.

I'm curious if you believe what the Bible says about false Christs that will deceive many? What is a false Christ and how will we recognize one?
@@chrisblanc663 there is so much at stake putting your trust in the Mormon Jesus. Please watch the video above and see for yourself
I am LDS and I love The Chosen. It has changed my life and inspired me to study the scriptures so much more deeply. Thank you for all your work!
Does that include the parts where God mentions He is eternal, not created?
Do you not know that mormonism teaches that God is just a man who came from another planet; where they say he also practiced mormonism? And that Jesus and Satan were both *created* by God and that they are brothers?
The Chosen is a great show. I have felt the Spirit watching it. Don't mind the naysayers, they have their reward.
@@batmaninc2793LDS here. I'm sure that @the210official does understand what you are talking about. Respectfully, your portrayal of our doctrine is so incomplete. If you were to put that question towards any LDS adult they would know what you are talking about, but also roll their eyes at the vast reduction that you are subjecting these beliefs to. If you actually want to understand someone's beliefs, to know if something is true or false, maybe start with study and prayer. If after you have done those things you still can't wrap your mind around someone's beliefs, just leave it at that.
Edit: Also,
"Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood shall have eternal life; and I shall raise him on the last day."

He didn't die to create religion's he died to show the world that they we're sinners and that we need him because we will always fall short. We all need to repent because the hour of the coming of the messiah is very close. Regardless of what you think about the LDS church I will say this.

@@nateriley870 Yet there is only one true Jesus. My bet is on the LDS One.
So I don't deny we have a lot of theological differences, but we love the same Jesus."
There are other interviews where he repeated the comment about "the same Jesus", but
this is at least from one interview.
Blessings!

“Saved” has many levels. A person can be hungry or starving. A wet rag can be damp or soaking.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I would like to share a few truths.
1- Jesus saved us all, no matter what we do, from death.
Paul also mentions “the third Heaven” in 2 Corinthians 12:2
3- We love the Bible and believe the Bible. The “biblical Jesus,” required ACTION and effort in all things. Here are a handful of examples which include warnings, qualifying efforts or situations surrounding “saving.”
“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:24
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matthew 4
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7 (24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock…)
22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 10
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
Mark 8
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
John 10
Words Jesus used which require personal effort:
Enter
Seek
Knock
Ask
Receive
Follow
Love
Preach
Feed
Trust
Believe
Endure
Pray
Repent
Faith
So much more!
He promised, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
The varying differences in the details of a religion do not need to stop us from uniting as brothers and sisters in Christ. I will continue trying to gather with all I can in His name and fully intend to feel His presence. I pray anyone with ears to hear, will hear.

@@suem6004 How did you come to that conclusion?
@@RebeccaPedersonHessey By reading the dang bible cover to cover. You think Jesus taught the 613 commandments of the law in the NT? You do know Jesus gave the originally LAW then said not to live all those. No wonder the Pharisees considered Jesus a heretic. Read!

However you can follow the teachings of Christ even if your religion teaches differently about who He is
@@pagejames8754 Yup 👍. That's one of the points Dallas was making...
@@pagejames8754 You just had to say something, didn't you? I guess I did too.

I am LDS and love The Chosen. It brings people together, starts conversation about Christ and inspires. We needed additional series like this to go along with our own and individual beliefs. We need to come together as children of God, loving and accepting each other no matter what religion we are. THANK YOU FOR YOUR DEDICATION IN THE MAKING OF THE CHOSEN AND FOR YOUR CAST THAT ARE SINCERE IN THEIR PROTRAYING THEIR PARTS.
