That's what I thought, If you take the video out of it i can imagine her leading two children into a forest with a clearing and having one big tree (the hanging tree) in the center where the man is, he's leaning on the tree and starts singing with her while also telling them the story of the hanging tree where they are. I also imagine them to be siblings.
This man's voice has this seductive, sort of dark angelic vibe. I love it

I feel like they're the same person, Bailey's voice is what the children hear and see, and Peter's voice is their (Bailey's and Peter's) mind, and they're trying to lure children to the hanging tree/another dimension.

Now this is what I call a mashup!!
Most "mashups" I come across is like... One of the songs and then like a single line from the other song. This one had a good mix of both songs! Creative and amazing voices!
Exactly! Mash-ups should fit well together and bleed into each other to sound like one song! Instead of making a Frankenstein Monster out of them
In my opinion, a good mash MUST have 2 key elements: the right song and the right singers. That being said....these two AMAZINGLY, TALENTED, people nailed both songs and my heart melts hearing this rendition of a mash up!
These songs are perfect for each other! I imagine...a couple walking through the dark forest in the dead of night. Inviting all the orphans and poor children to come with them and meet up at the "Hanging Tree". To take them away from the world and escape reality together. But darker motives lurk in their souls. Murder and darkness. And the children who left never return. And no one saw the couple again.

At first I thought "How did this collab happen?" Then it occured to me; "December Song, oh yeah". Funny how a Christmas song led to a Hallowe'en - themed mashup.

Somehow this mix made it less spooky and more melancholic, which is just wonderful. Also, Baily is amazing and you should totally collab. with her for your folk songs album.
I actually really like her voice in this song. It gives a really eery feeling because she sounds really innocent, which she is using to lure children to her.
It feels like the soundtrack to the moment where a child becomes a hero.
It’s as if he remembers his childhood and what he came to. This is wonderful!

This might be one of my favorites of yours now. The 'glitches' in the video added so much to the already creepy song. The songs also combo REALLY well together, although in more creepy ways if you listen to the lyrics in the order they appear, without considering their original order.
Though, possibly for another Halloween song, can you please do Brigmore Lullaby (Credits Mix) from Dishonored 2? It's a really spooky, but really cool song as well. Definetally fits this time of year.

This is awesome and most definitely spook-ay! The song is great with the tones you used and the two of you sound really nice together. I still just am in love with the sets you use, they’re all so pretty/interesting. The song though... sounds like a creepy nursery rhyme.

Ok. I will admit, I watched this half covering the screen the first time because I didn't want to be jumpscared. XD The melody is hauntingly beautiful, and the guitar really adds to it. These two songs...I'd've never thought of them together, but they fit so PERFECTLY, and the tempo was so slow and perfect. I love how the video was creepy and spooky without being....for lack of a better word, *SCARY.* Yall know what I mean. ;)

I loved this mashup when it first came out, but now that I've read the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes I can't help but feel that this song is being directed towards Sejanus before his execution; he was never cut out for the violence that being a peacekeeper entailed and though he tried his best to help the districts, he ended up losing his life over it at the hanging tree.
