Wow crazy, turns out it was the crankshaft pulley was loose, affecting the timing throwing those timing codes. Just shows there could be lots of possibilities for the same codes....awesome video
My wood ruff key was broken off the crank shaft and also apparently it was way easier to remove the crankshaft pulley then it should be. could that be causing my P0011 code because my gallery gaskets aren’t blown and timing chain looks in good condition and I constantly did oil changes. I’d appreciate it if you could let me know a possibility.
Why was his cam sprocket bad? Im pretty sure I burned all my oil and was running it to without knowing. Thats what my mechanic was telling me so he replaced all of it and changed cam position sensor and its still in limp mode. Code is p0011
My customers old mechanic (a well known VQ shop here in SoCal) told him he needed to replace them both. He went based off what his old mechanic told him to replace. Which clearly was not the issue. It was the crankshaft key way. It was so loose that it made the crankshaft timing sprocket move slightly that it was enough to though off all the timing on the motor. Causing it to go into limp mode.
Great explanation, I’m also in SoCal & I have this 2003 G35 DE 140k miles has A P0340 code, Symptoms it has are when I’m driving & getting to 22-2500RPM it starts jerking and bucking like a Wild horse then I’ll shift to 2nd & it accelerates good until, I get to 22-2500Rpm again and continues at every gear, So I changed the straight shafted passenger side rear sensor with a new dealership one & then the car don’t wanna start, So I then went with a hitachi sensor from auto-zone & same thing no start. Next I throw back in the old sensor & it starts fine but continues having the bucking and jerking at 22-2500Rpm’s. Any advice is appreciated 💯
Bro I have this same issue code p0021 and p0524 low oil pressure do you know what fixed your issue I have the same issue where it jerks from first to second gesr
Hey bro.... I really enjoy how you explain the process. I recently got a p0011 on my evo 9. The motor has never been opened. It drives and idles fine. I actually can't really notice any issues other than the check engine coming on. Where do you think I should start looking?
I have a g37 manual just got it frm auction has had a rough idle I been changing a lot of things and finally threw me codes when I got it to running temp the codes are p0021 and p0011 the idle sounds crazy and it won’t rev over 1 rpm and the solenoid is fine so I was thinking it was the timing off but gonna give this a shot. Any opinions ?
Definitely check timing while your at it do your gallery gasket and water pump. Don’t give up, let me know how it goes and we will go from there. Good luck
@@official_Zilla33I finally am opening it up all that’s left now is the crank pulley to be taken off everything else is off but not sure how to tell if it’s cam phasers or just the gallery gasket I didn’t do an oil pressure test
What are the symptoms of a bad gallery gasket? would it hesitate when hitting the gas pedal? My 2014 Q60 feels sluggish when I hit the gas pedal, I recently installed the PedalMax and it made a huge difference to the initial acceleration but still doesn't feel right. It feels hesitant.
I been chasing this strange thing. P0340 and a c1130 and I have limp mode. The car has starting issues sometimes it start’s sometimes I cannot get it to work. I scanned it and some sensors aren’t responding my cam bank 1 but it’s new and does work my solenoids aren’t reading and they are new and do work when I test drive the car when it does start and keep it under 3800 rpm this is when it cuts power the car runs normal and no strange sounds or rpm fluctuations. I am completely lost
I’m pretty sure it’s a electrical issues but not sure where to start. I compared data from my buddy’s 370 to mines and everything is identical besides the sensors that aren’t reading or listed on the scanner for whatever reason. His is a 2020 base I’m pretty sure that won’t make a difference

@@futbolcris9282if your woodruf key broke it’s fairly simple to replace give that a try first
Impressed with your knowledge and easy to understand narrative.
Thank you 🙏
I love how you was able to do this without pulling the motor or taking off the radiator support
Forgot to mention about pulling out fuel pump relay as other option for us poor folk lol but great vid bro
Pulling out the fuel pump relay will clean these codes ?
I have an P0011 and P0021, misfires on 1,3,5. Oil pressure is good, round 25psi at idle and warm on a vq35hr.
Fire video brotha keep up the content! 🔥
Thanks man appreciate the support
You can just hold the brake and accelerator pedals down and it will cut off the fuel pump on Nissan vehicles

The engine is on limp mode to protect it from damage, it won’t go away till the underlying problem is fixed and the engine code is cleared.

I changed out the gallery gasket and it’s still doing the same thing

I have a g37 that acts fine when I clear the cel but when the cel come back on the p0021 it starts stuttering and can't go pass 3k
@@Taeta318 I would check signals to sensors first if they have good signal move into hallery gasket and timing.

Get rid of that pedal max it’s a waste of money can actually create issues in the long run
Question so you ended up swiping the motor
How much does a job like this cost? Just labor not including parts?

Might as well

Hey bro where’s you shop located?

Dang I’m so disappointed my mechanic wasn’t you on a 09 fx35 timing chain replacement. Sent me off after 1500 with P0011. 14. 21 and 24 codes
Did you ever do anything to get that fixed? I’ve also got p0021 and p0024 on my g35 (vq35hr) after the mechanic changed my water pump
