Lino, this must be hands down the most instructive and fun comparison of the various K&F Concept diffusion filters I've come across, and I've watched quite a few. Only serves to confirm my preference for the Shimmer Diffusion 1 - unsurpassed subtlety of effect while retaining maximum sharpness. Great filmmaking too. I'm just an amateur stills photographer, but you're definitely someone to watch. Liked & subscribed.

Dude, what a comparison! To my taste, more subtle it's better, the black-mist 1/4 and 1/2 where so beautiful! The night effect with the shimmer was a good surprise also

The shimmer filter was largely too subtle to be noticed during the day but stood out during the night shoots.
Was actually trying to search for a comparison between their series K, D and X and chance upon your video.
Probably will be getting the 1/2 to compliment the 1/4 Nano-K that I currently have.

I am looking to buy the signa 18-50. Do you know if you can fit on it a 52mm filter with a stepdown ring?

It would fit but I dont recommend it because you will get a vignette and see the edge of the filter in the corners. So it would be better to get a bigger filter :)
is it fair to say the shimmer 1 is about the same at black pro mist 1/8?
