    A video that wasn’t clickbait or bs! Thank you! I will subscribe to your channel!

    Thanks for the comparison. Those grippy ridges on the filter might cause attachment issues with lens hoods depending on how much they stick out. Would you recommend the shimmer filter over the 1/8 black mist then for a more subtle look on an 85mm 1.8 lens? Thanks

    There is definitely less control of the halation and a substantially greater loss of contrast compared with other brand’s mist filters, based on my use of tiffen brand and how these appear in footage on TH-cam… this is especially important to consider as the image is baked in.

    would liked to see them in a motion shot with aliasing in frame...i'm looking for a low key general purpose filter just to reduce that digital sharpness and aliasing, is getting me so frustrated with the FX30.
    also wonder how the moment 5% would compare

      Great suggestion! If you're experiencing moiré due to the image sensor a 5% filter may slightly take the edge off, but it will very likely still be in your footage. I used a 5% CineBloom filter for a styled shoot & it looked great. Just a tad of bloom around hard lights & the rest of the image was essentially unchanged.

      @@EricNelsonYTa tad of bloom sounds good. i think i'l get the 5% than stuck on it another 5% or 10% for the few occasions i want it to be more profound...the moiré in sony is horrendous i don't know why it's just being accepted by people...

    Love K&F for the price but I notice little green flairs in my portraits from time to time… do you? Maybe from the Green reflective coating

      @SIQmai 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately it's the downside of using filters in front of the lens, the light will reflect and create these flares. They're annoying but when you notice them as you take the photo you can move the lens around a little bit to make them less visible or even disappear.

      @@SIQmai yeah it’s probably the only reason I like tiffen ones better. Because they don’t have any green coating and seem to reflect into the lens a bit less. And totally agree you can move the lens a bit to not get it in

    which would you recommend for apsc zoom lens?

      They both have a unique look, so honestly both are a viable option depending on your desired outcome.
      But... If I could only pick one, I would go with the Shimmer 1 Filter
