snohomish looks like an old person town
uhh yep. I live in Snohomish and can confirm. The commute sucks. Personally I wouldn't do the commute to Seattle. So it's a lot of older retired folk but also a lot of work from home people (like me, I'm 38) so you get all types of people but the average age is definitely older. The average home price is like a million too which means young people can't really make it work. It's close to tons of outdoor stuff so calling it an old person town is kinda wrong, its more like, most people can't move to snohomish until they are established enough in their life to afford a million dollar+ home.
I’ve lived in Snohomish my entire life, 43 years, and I’ve worked in downtown Seattle. It took routinely 2 hours to get home every afternoon, an hour would’ve been amazing lol this was pre-Covid so I’m guessing traffic is worse now. Schools are great in Snohomish. #GoPanthers

Where's timeline
Edmonds is the Newport Beach of Seattle. Properties sell within days. Tons of 60's era 3000 sqft ft cosmetic fixers. Great restaurant scene. 3 beaches. Assess ability to the penninsula. EZ 25 minutes to the city as well.

@@dapro2524 Average home price is maybe 800K. The area is very nice! The only criminals are the corporate type that get away with their misdeeds!
Damn the prices make me sick. 😂 only 8X more expensive than my first house.
median home price in snohomish is a little misleading- I feel like the desirable areas in snohomish are closer to 1 mil average home.
Hot tip for scuba divers: Edmonds has one of the top rated underwater parks, there’s a scuba rental right there by the beach and you can wade out to the dive, great place to keep up with regular diving if you’re trying to keep your certification active 😋

I had a question regarding politics. Can you get away with being nonpolitical? Or is the culture such that talking about politics is something you'll have to do.
Non-political is more central suburb. If you venture off where there’s more farm and acreage they get into the weird people.
