Seattle is called the “Emerald City” and is like no other city. One correction - there are no pine trees but there are many cedars and firs. Pine is mainly in eastern WA.
I was born and raised in Seattle went away after I graduated high school and relocated back as an adult and I can say you summarized Seattle the best way possible! Everything was on point. I can say when it comes to the Seattle freeze some people have said to purchase or adopt a dog or look on FB at different groups to meet your people. I can say returning because I'm from here people know that I am or they light up when I was living in the central district and from there. They're like oh my a local lol like I was a unicorn. Now it's just nice to be around pleasant people overall than what I left in the southern state I was living in.
Great video about sharing your thoughts on Seattle. As a Seattle native, I've seen so many changes (good and bad) throughout the yrs but sometimes I miss certain aspects of what Seattle used to be. Some of the things that still keep me here are family/relatives and the outdoors. Seattle indeed has a big outdoor/health conscious culture. I'm glad ur able to manage the 'Seattle freeze' and dreary weather and make the best of it. Cheers!
@@chelseakaywright I’ve had them too!! I use that for Jamaican food. Pam’s kitchen is a true auntie on the stove - taste just like my grandmother made it
Hi I am planning a trip to Seattle at the end of September. I’m trying to come up with some fun activities to do that’s not downtown but in surrounding areas and also some good food options do you have any recommendations?
most helpful video I've seen - I love that it's mostly positive/optimistic, especially as a fellow Black girlie xx
This is so sweet ! I’m so happy it helped.

This is such a good video! Right now I am trying to choose between moving to Chicago or Seattle. Your answers were all very helpful. ☺️
