You can not get anymore American than the Nelsons. Ricky always was a Star and a gentleman, even through all the Garden Party era he always took the higher road. You can see his sons inherited his great traits. Thank y’all. 100% RESPECT. 👍😎✌️
Garden party as one of the best lyrics in rock and roll.
"If memories are all I sing,
I'd rather drive a truck"
Wow, we loved your dad. Thanks for keeping his memory alive.
Love these fellows, they carry on their Dads tradition.
I was in a Road Band years ago and we got to do three shows opening up for Ricky in the summer of 1980 so to see his two sons performing hello Mary Lou is a really special thing to me
Loved your dad and your uncle and your grandparents
Amazing guitars. So good seeing these two fine young men.
My mother started the Ricky Nelson fan club, she still has an amazing collection of letters and other stuff from that time.
Cool. What year did she do that?
Those guitars sound amazing...well done gents, you are making you pop proud
So good to see these boys play that song, such a good number, love it !! Cheers Norm, Gunnar and Matthew.
These kids are great! Give them a show somebody!
ricks boys doing his dad proud to this day!!!!
Great stuff...Pretty much every aspiring band has had a crack at Mary Lou, because it is a good band song to play. People dance, the ultimate accolade! We did.
Outstanding! Have always been fans of the Nelson Family and you gentlemen are carrying that Legacy forward. Thanks!
i am a Huge Rick Nelson fan , saw him in 1985 and i near passed out when he shook my hand , aside from being a Beatle /Stones maniac and musician and a Huge James Burton fan the best music video in the entire world , a video that sends chills down my spine if the 2005 video with Gunner and Mathew and James , i can't come up with words to describe how much i love that video
Rick was a favorite of mine, it started from theFamily TV show. My wife and I got to see you both and James Burton at Casino Rama, was blown away by your inherited talent. We got the DVD, and found that it was only a little while after releasing the video you took it on the road. James was just as outstanding not missing a lick. That show brought us both just a little closer to the Nelson's ❤
Very cool to see Ricky’s sons playing guitars! One of my favorite covers of this song was done by “The New Riders of the Purple Sage” aka: NRPS, it was done in the early ‘70’s. They did a kind of mix of Californian Country Rock with Greatful Dead overtones. ( Garcia played pedal steel guitar on their first album)
This is why America that beautifull..... listen and get proud in the same time! 💥
Mathew and Gunner,Your father would be very proud of you guys.So glad you're still in music! I remember you guys in a class we took together years ago.You guys played a song for our class. That night you guys went on the Jonny Carson show. Best Wishes.Chris
i feel so old ... i was a sophomore in high school when these kids were born ...
NOW I LIKE THESE GUYS...
Now this is my idea of GREAT 2024 MUSIC.Bring it on fellas your the GREATEST.
It was James Burton rocking on the lead guitar in most of Rick Nelson’s old songs. The master of chicken pick in’.
Would have loved to hear the finished Garden Party Long live the Nelsons n Norman ❤🙏🙏🙏🎸☮️
Wow just wow
Talented, tasteful, classy.
Excellent! Over here in the Uk, Rick (y) Nelson's version of Summertime is a dance floor favourite on the Soul/ R n B circuit.
Hari
Sounds great !!👍
These guys are fantastic. By the way, years ago I have the pleasure to meet their grandparents Ozzie and Harriet. And they like Mathew and Gunnar were brilliant!
Make another clip with Garden Party. They sound wonderful.
Great voices and great guitar playing!
Garden Party is my favorite.
More Legends, Nelson Twins Yep, and Rick was great, an innovator before his time for sure. LOVE> Normans Rare Guitars. Fantastic, it shows how much these Musical Giants, Legends love Norm, they lite there like ducks to the only pond. Love it Thanks Norm, sir, your a legend to me, and always will be my fav Guitar Empire :) from SE Texas Bear Fan for many years ❤💯🙏
I met both of these gentlemen in a GC and they couldn't have been nicer. Very talented as well.

@@MDavidG1 Guitar Center
This is awesome.
I could listen to those guys all day!
Sound great!
Awesome 👏
Thanks
Good lads
Great video!
Our group spent some time together after one of Ricks shows up in the top of a hotel . They rode down with us. When we got there, Andy ( piano) tried to score some weed. We spent about two hours with him. Nicest guy in the world. The wildest he got was a glass of white wine and a Benson Hedges he bummed from my sister. Could have spent hours with him going over the stories. Elvis, the tv show, his early career…
How big do you want the pick guard?: Yes.
the twins are the 4th generation of that family to have a #1 hit, Harriet's parents started that ball rolling, then Ozzie and Harriet with Ozzie's band, then Ricky, and lasty the twins, 4 generations #1
Well dang!
❤❤
I do like the hat!!
Magnificent!
I made sure to get Rick’s greatest hits CD album in my collection.
We want more, we want more, we want more!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Tease at the end
👌👌😎
I enjoyed this…but, was a little distracted by the possibility of zippers and buttons scratching those great guitars 😉
Hello live
Looks like one of the Everly Brothers guitars 🎸 ❤
Yes!
It actually was one of the every brothers guitars
He called it ‘the break-up guitar’ 2:24 but we never heard the story. I suspect it was used at Knotts in 1973.
👍✌❤😎
Those guys are Mark Harmon's nephews!
Are we sure both of these guys are not Joe Bonamassa's dad?
I miss Ricky!
What colour is that dual pickguard model
The really big deal about 'Hello Mary Lou' was the 'master of the Telecaster'. Fools rush in too!
Gene Pitney, Chris Hillman. If they aren’t name dropping at Norm’s. The actual musicians happen to drop by.
Oh ...we gonna hear Garden Party?
Garden Party ?
That's some of the magic stuff missing in todays 'product'.
Ozzi and Harriet’s grandsons.
Those are 2 Gibson SJ200's not Super 400N
Hey, don't cut off Garden Party
Amazing but it could use a little cowbell
This tune is begging for that chicken lickin' guitar picker from Louisiana... Mister James Burton!!!
Ricky took the higher road for sure. Best dressed coke addict in LA. Nothing to snort at....
Joe Bonamassa was talking crap about Norm on a video I watched saying the only thing Norm has left of his guitars is trash.
Nonsense.
@@MDavidG1 it was on the episode buried in gear!! he didn’t have anything good to say about Norm watch it
So sad that in their - 60’s, maybe? - they are referred to as “twins.” So they are unremarkable as individuals? Dang. That had to sting them.
I do this tune....cud be done better boys...Burton's solo is a signature....you cud learn it....altho I hav heard a guy do it as a chord song....lousy.....
Well, someone had to wear a dumb hat…
great! hello from Sweden
