The talent that’s walked through those doors is crazy ! Norms is practically an institution or temple to the guitar player . Every one should make that pilgrimage once in their life
Rode down on 2 wheels from Canada in '77 to see Norm's shop when were both young. I was fortunate enough back then to have owned a dozen guitars that are now very collectable. It's funny being the same age as old people.
Just love it when Joe Bonamassa hangs out with you guys!!! What a great guy!! He’s the real deal not only a great musician but such a down to earth guy who just loves music.
Went to visit LA 12/17/23-12/23/23 and first stop off the plane ride was norms. It was probably one of the coolest things I’ve done so far In the music journey. I then bought a 1998 51’ reissue fender telecaster for $2200 and it is probably one of the best sounding guitars live and just in my bedroom!
I heard Mr Klafford singing that song and immediately was drawn into it. I thought “man this guy reminds me of Stapleton.” Come to find out that was a Stapleton cover. One of Chris Stapleton new songs. I saw Chris Stapleton, Willie Nelson, and Jamey Johnson in Arlington Texas at the rangers stadium. All 3 gentlemen put on a fantastic show. But after listening to the original and the cover, I’m shocked bc honestly Mr Klaffords is better.
What the heck is that ES330 like thing that Richie Sambora is playing? Single p90.... I haven't seen that before. My 1962 Chrome dog-eared ES330 is a fond possession of for almost 40 years and yet I've not seen that animal before
@ElGuapo4000it’s always the quiet and humble ones that surprise you like that. Look at John mayers early hits. If you just heard him on the radio you’d have no idea the level of skill he has.
@ElGuapo4000 I don’t know much about him other than his presence outside of music and a few hits, but if you’re an adequate musician you know it when you see it.
Harvest Moon intro (Neil Young)! My wife picked it right up. I was scratching my head thinking Francis Dunnery for a bit, remember him? He was pretty comfortable with a guitar
Norm - get some Heritage guitars in there! They are so good, in my opinion (which doesn’t mean much cause I’m a nobody) but I’ve had both those and modern Gibsons and I gotta say they’re both on the same level. I’d love to see some celebs picking up a few H,s and helping those OG’s of guitar making !!
Had the fortune of making that trek and meeting Norm and some of his staff. I highly recommend the trip and make sure to bring your wallet for your next guitar.
Norm introducing the players give me Trump vibes in the very best kind of way "This guy, he's the best. I know. I saw him & I thought, wow. He's the best"
But why do they always play blues?? Players of this stature could do a lot better. Buddy Guy tries to shred but says that Gary Moore plays too many notes. Does anyone agree with me that the "blues" is a bit emperors new clothes. Country guitar players over the years have been more melodic, varied and more technically proficient and yet the default always seems to be 12 bar blues. Boring.

Been there! Great place!
I’m from Australia I went there a few years ago, bloody amazing
@@7884golfguru I’m from Sydney 🇦🇺! And it’s definitely a place every guitarist should make a pilgrimage too
It’s awesome seeing these people just meditate through music. They get lost in it! So cool
Man, just to be a fly on the wall at Norm's. Thank you for sharing!
Wow, Norm, how much talent have you had in the shop! This is unreal 👏 Keep rocking man!

I'm so thrilled that Mrs Smith clip was included. perhaps the best shredding/tapping i've ever hearx👌
Vince gill being dressed like my dad when he cuts the lawn is amazing
Posty pulling the blues shuffle 😭

WOW‼️It must suck working at Norm’s 😂🤣😂🤣 What incredible talent walks through the doors.
Oh THIS IS CRAZY GOOD!! GAVE ME BUTTERFLIES!!! WHAT SOME TALENTED MUSICIANS! THANK YOU NORM FOR SHARING THIS! AMAZZING❤

I enjoyed the hell outta this video. Thanks Norm.
I remember every one of these !! Always a good time at Norms !! 👌🏻
I have always wanted to go in and look around but alway on a tight schedule and they are closed on momdays.
If you don’t make time for things you want to do, you may never get to do it.
Every day at Norms is a great day here!😘

Post guitar player malone 🎉
Go check out his shop talk video on Mass Appeal. He shows how many different styles he can play, great guitarist!!
Norm should teach a course on sales at Harvard Business School. As they say of all good salesmen, he could sell ice to an Eskimo.
Norm is the real legend
7:19 -That GREEN BURST Strat - tell me it's not real... (?) Wanna!
Loved this!
suprised how competent post malone was at guitar

Harvest Moon intro (Neil Young)! My wife picked it right up. I was scratching my head thinking Francis Dunnery for a bit, remember him? He was pretty comfortable with a guitar
@@mtn09080 thank you!
9:08 that's one of the sickest things I've ever heard
Could have just been 10 minutes of Michael Lemmo and the title still would have worked. Insane player
wow , was hoping there would be a clip of guy king or stalone

Vince Gill didn't do much there but he's an amazing guitarist.
The best guitar stores are owned by fans.
BILLYS JUST DIFFERENT
Did Jeff Beck ever step through the door ?
3:27 thought that was lefty gun play lol
Came here for kingfish !
sambora just making noise
👍✌❤😎
Crazy town guy sounds like he finally smoked all his teeth.
8:45 what is that all about? Is that a dude?
Where’s John Mayer ???.. 🤷🏻♂️
Who knew International Mecca to the 6 string is in a strip mall in Tarzana?
Also, green strat. 🤯
Haha crazy town?
Man Sambora looks rough in this video
I thought it was Blake Mills, but it was just Finneass 😂
Who in the heck is that FREAK, with nail polish, at the 8:50 mark.?
Not enough Lemmo
Some amazing artists here. Sadly the guy singing for crazy town is soooo out of place, out skilled instrumentally and overall talent wise.
I want to have Mrs Smith's babies! And I'm a straight guy!!!!
Who would call themselves, Billy Strings?
Maybe his momma?
@@johnwalsh1541 Nah that's not a real name.
The guy's a fantastically talented guitarist. I think the name fits.
Go watch him play a little bit, the name fits
If you can play like that, call yourself whatever you want lol
Finneas part is cringe af
apart from kingfish everyone bore rang

Blues isn't about shredding.
Mr Smith 🤮
What's wrong with this world
I am so tired of blues licks

First guy was good then got progressively worse. I stopped watching as soon as I smelt post Malone
500% markups norm been racking it in years…poor lemmo Norm retires soon Lemmo washes cars?
I’m sure lemmo gets promoted then. I don’t know what you’re on about. You think norm should charge less and pay lemmo more?
Non vedo Thomas Raggi ci deve essere un’errore nel montaggio sicuramente
