PS: amazing burger, keep it going 😁
Well it’s not the same having all that butter in one bun than having it in 6 buns or bread , whatever u wanna call it
Jose Lopez you’re right man, also they look amazing
No one:
Josh’s But Better series: “ any thing you can do I can do better. I can do anything better than you”
Nice one 👍
Krispy Kreme: No you can't
Joshua: ...
"It smells like fart" - Wendys knew you were coming to trash their food, they farted in the bag for you :)
😂😂😂
wendy farted in the bag herself.
why do i feel like his whole but better series is just what you expect your fast food to look and taste like vs what you got
“Yeasty milk” is a phrase I never wanna hear again
i second that
yeasty milk
Imagine yourself gargling on it for a minute.
Hear
Not gonna lie I was waiting the whole time to say "B-Roll"
"Mine was number one..."
"Are you kidding me?"
lmao
"Pop it out in the stand mixer bowl like a newborn baby, roll it"
Exactly how a new born baby should be
The square patty’s are because Wendy’s “never cuts corners”
Loooool
@@TheJimmys11 but they do cut corners because it was originally a circle, but they cut it into a shape that has corners, they cut out corners or.. cut corners.

Hi Josh! Love the series, I'd love it if you could start adding a cost breakdown of your recipe vs how much you paid for the original. That way we get a better understanding of the cost of quality as it were.
Yea clearly the use of black garlic and expensive beef makes the comparison unfair imo..
Most of his recent recipes are totally out of my league budget wise
@@jjjjjf7 yeah but you can still make a very good version with cheaper ingredients. The buns alone make such a difference. I will always go through the extra work of making them because its so worth it
@@jjjjjf7 Yea to be honest. If he's going to compare his vs theirs and claim to "Win" his price per unit needs to be at least in the same ballpark. A baconator cost like $6 so he burger shouldn't cost more then $7-8 if he wants even fair comparison.
@@ZArtifiziert as much as I agree with you, I still think that my point stands because what we are both saying doesnt exclude one another
Yes, I love to learn how to cook better and eat better too, however the way Josh is making his videos makes less and less sense for me to watch : they are still very entertaining but I'm not learning anything useful beside 'if I want to make something this good, I'll have to spend an irresponsible amount of money"
So to sum it up the founder literally made the biggest dad joke. The reason for the square patties is 1) to show the freshness 2) “to show that wendy’s doesn’t ‘cut corners’ out of their freshness”
Clearly the Baconator was Doof’s attempt to take over the Tri-State Area with delicious food
And he was clearly defeated he again. Curse you, Joshua Weissman!
Woah woah woah how are you gonna call Wendy’s the “bottom of the barrel” burger. The baconator is a top tier fast food burger and that’s a fact
Let's see what Report of the Week has to say about the Baconator before we call it top tier
😬 “top tier fast food burger” is still the bottom of the barrel.
The speed at which I've started to drop everything when a new Josh Weissman video comes out is starting to getting worrying. Love the content Josh!
I love how he keeps saying quality you can taste... Which is an in n out slogan. 😂
Me: **waits for b-roll**
Josh: No.
Can you imagine waiting in the drive thru forever for this guy to cook
LOL right?
imagine preparing this at home...you need a weeks planning.
This is something you would get in a restaurant.
I mean it'd be worth it when the quality is this high.
Wouldn't take that much longer if all the prep work was done earlier...
Who’s gonna tell him that they have less than 15 minutes to make a burger instead of a whole day
yeah and they have a like 4 minute time limit before the costomer yells at them and karens like 2 mins
The chicken and all the ingredients are made before and are put together after the consumer orders
So actually they have MORE time then Joshua does
@@castner4169 not really he dose Wendy’s has Karen’s there and they have to make it fast
@@alyssasmith9273 🤣 I dont even get a full minute to make the sandwich before I'm being yelled at.
This is by far the best fast food burger, ever.
unpopular opinion
this series in a nutshell - even if joshua's food doesn't taste good , he still wins
edit : i'm not saying his food isn't good , i'm saying even if joshua's food wasn't as good as the other , he'd still win
Just because his donut had too big of a hole doesn’t mean it didn’t taste good
@@jameswabrek9909 I don't know why, but this made me chuckle.
Wha- how?

You know what else is going to see me in the new kitchen? B-Roll.
Seriously, Wendy's be dissing other fast food chains when their food be looking just as sad.
its a marketing campaign. that teenager who ran that social media account revolutionised company marketing that a profession team of experienced boomers couldn't think of in YEARS. they're swimming in that dough.
Evan Scammell I love their chili
@@name7918 it's pretty fire I won't lie
Their food is good tho...
@Tatum Anderson Wendys: hOw Do YoU dO fElLoW zOoMeRs?
With the help of 1 hour of shopping, $50 of total ingredients, hours of prep time, extensive knowledge of how to properly bake and cook, and plenty of dirty dishes, you too can beat a $5 fast food burger.
ITS BUT BETTER STUPID SACK OF SHIT GO TO BUT CHEAPER
Josh: this recipe is really simple and easy. Also josh: first get you wheat and wheat grinder.....
Let's wake up at the crack of dawn, we're gonna harvest and mill our own wheat.
First of, we'll need to start in spring and start to ready our field so that we can sow them with wheat ....
Me: my day couldn't get any worst
Joshua: no b-roll
Me: *GASSSPPPPSSSS*
I’ve been made a fool of. I was waiting for that “And you know what else is quality you can (figuratively) taste? B-Roll~”
So I made your baconator with everything- the buns, the mayo, the whole nine yards and it was amazing!!!! I have been cooking and baking for over 20 years now so I felt pretty comfortable doing it for the first time for company, but I have to tell you … in your bread description, you forgot to mention at which point you add the pre-prepared tangzhong. I have used this technique before so it wasn’t a big deal for me, but it could be confusing to other people
The headline here is - after I made this recipe, I went to my local target and bought your cook book 😂😂😂
I have a very small collection and I don’t just buy cook books for the snake of owning many 😒
Def one of the very few cooking channels I watch. I am not into home cooks teaching how to do the stuff I already know how to make. I left home early and Food Network was my cooking and baking school. But now, I am super stoked to be able to up my game with chefs like you and Brian Lagerstrom.
Thank you for the recipes! Love your sense of humor and the approach you take with your videos ❤️👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I worked at Wendy's when the Baconator first came out. Everyone was calling it a heart attack on a bun lol.
There was this girl came in and she was chubby she order baconator with baconator fries. Im like u wanna die so badly huh?
@@Amatersuful well I ordered that once too and I’m still here
I worked at Wendy's a long ass time ago, and they said the reason we had square patties was cause Dave Thomas didn't like to cut corners..
Probably because you can grill more of them at once compared to a round one 🤔
@@revaxx3075 I am pretty sure they would still leave less space on a grill unoccupied, as you can line up squares more closely to each other compared to circles
"Your poopy balls are ready"
oh sorry, I didn't realise you were gonna describe every single one of my meals
The reason for the square patty is a matter of production efficiency. The shape allows you to fill a sheet tray with ground beef and then cut out patty’s the same shape and thus size. It’s actually kind of surprising that more places don’t do this as you don’t have to fuck around with shaping
