I have a 2016 ATS-V and the seat bolts are TP45's (as in Torx Plus). If you are able to put plenty of downward pressure, you can use a T50, but it's the wrong tool and you will most likely damage the splines.
Unfortunately it’s pretty tight there. For most accurate reading you are right but as a baseline for the tuner to work with it’s fine. Justin Schmidt does most cars tuned with the sensor post cat
@@JetFuelOnlywere you pleased with Justin's tuning? I am either using him or Cooper. I like that he will tune it with the wideband being installed post cat.
I don’t have Justin’s tune I still have Trifecta. My money goes into the Porsche these days. However, please DO NOT go to anyone but Justin no matter what someone’s experience in tuning is they don’t have time to figure out this cars unique ECU. Justin has all the fastest VSports on the planet.
Somebody installed one of these on a 16 ats-v i bought and i found the driver side o2 sensor hanging there with the wideband plugged into it. Need to weld a bung now because somebody thought it was a good idea to leave the stock o2 sensor hanging there.
I previously had a ATS V and ZZP is local to me, I picked up the Aeroforce gauge pod but the shape and fitment seem off for a 16+ CTS V3. Any advice, help or suggestions are appreciated!
Really appreciate all the great VSport content you produce!!! I noticed your front splitter is off, I have the smaller (V2 I believe) front splitter from Savage but I get annoying rattle sounds when driving…have you had this problem? Any ideas on a solution if so? Thanks and keep up the great work!
The wideband sensor is supposed to go in front of the cats. If you place behind the readings won’t be accurate. I have a 14 ats 2.0t mine is installed just behind the turbo about a few inches from the upper 02 sensor.
@@JetFuelOnly I’m stuck paying 1k a month for my ats v I make around 700 most a week after taxes and it just stresses me out knowing I have this nice ass car to pay for I can’t imagine how you do it

Thanks a ton for the video, just did mine, only have to make the trip to the exhaust shop. Only note I have is my '16 CTSV's seat bolts were T50s.
Thanks for letting me know. I mess up sometimes so maybe I got mine wrong or they changed it!
It's not a T50.. it is a TP45 (Torx Plus).
Weird my 19 is updated with a 10amp for the wireless charger this video made it so easy I’m almost finished. Thank you!!
Solid video. Thanks for the detail
I was under the impression that a wideband needed to be installed upstream of the catalytic converter.

Will this work for an ATS-V Coupe in particular? I am dreading going through the firewall.
Yeah it should. These cars share the same platform and it’s likely there. 5 min and you can take a peak
@@JetFuelOnly Thanks!! Yes it was nearly identical. Installed yesterday.

Same pod? They seem to be 3D printed so I can imagine some variance. Unfortunately I don’t have any suggestions on making it better.
Thank you for this video

Yeah I broke mine last month. Waiting for a new one. I’ve never heard any noise except if the splitter is loose or the slash shield is loose

Understood. Room is limited and our primary tuner gets results with it post cats. Even farther down the line too!
You are a genius !!!!
Amazing machine
Bias AF
🤣
Great install vid. However a wideband sensor should definitely be installed pre cat.

I'm disappointed a wideband O2 wasn't original equipment. Most modern cars use WBO2 to run closed-loop under all load conditions.
Silicone is great to seal the hole your drilled so no water or dirt can get in at all.
Damn what you do for a living ?
