6:15 I'm happy, yet saddened, with this as I'm reminded how close we are to being able to have the entire MvC2 roster.... At least recent releases give us custom fodder to make multiple options for just about every character from MSH. DC's starro BAF will be the core to my Shuma Gorath until hasbro finally makes it... *_IF_* they ever do.
Every review I see of this set just adds to my excitement to get my own! I agree that female bodies should have that additional articulation at the waist, however the pinless double elbows and knees were a welcome addition that I don't mind waiting a bit longer for them to add that new joint. Hopefully it would debut on a female character everyone would go nuts over--like a Dark Phoenix rerelease or some kind of ultimate Black Widow figure with tons of accessories.
If they ever do she-venom, I would love to see her getting that point of articulation added. That character really deserves the diaphragm joint and waist crunch combo to get her into some great dinamic poses just like spider-man and venom.
So the Renew Your Vows mini series was a tie to Secret Wars by Dan Slott. Then the ongoing started with Gerry Conway, and switch to Ryan Stegman for writers iirc

They ruined the 2-pack with Spinneret's ab crunch. Basically Hasbro ripping people off with just that one miss. Spider-Man came as he's been expected for years now. He's perfect. I'm glad this Spider-Man was released because it forced everyone trying to sell the retro or pizza spider man for top top dollar. Hope those people feel stoopid for holding on to those just to sell.
I hope they release the Spiderman as a standalone, I'm not a fan of the Spinneret figure. Great review and amazing photography. Keep up the great work.

Ima say this bro and I don’t want hate, I have a bunch of high end spideys such as the amazing yamaguchi iron spider and classic Spider-Man and the Mafex 075 Spider-Man and this guy became my favorite as soon as it touched my hands
Just got my RYV set this week from Amazon. I'm really liking this new Spider-man. Finally a ML Spiderman that can get into some great crawl poses because of the added two articulation. This Spidey is starting to rival the articulation of Amazing Yamaguchi Spider-man without the weird joints. Totally agree with D Amazing on the Shriek body. While it's the best female body ML has done, they need to take it a step further and add ab crunch or a lower ball joint.

i literally found 1 of this in my local target and although i was planning on saving up for the venom pack, i still decided to give this a chance and DAMN. i’m so fucking glad i did. best spider-man figure and it fixes SO many of previous problems with other spider-man’s. like compare this to the no way home movie spider-man. mind blown.
Don't agree about the gloss paint...I think Spidey would look 100% better/less 'cheap' with matte paint. After all he's in a cloth costume fgs! ...If they won't give us sculpted weblines then at least use matte paint! An absolute no-brainer!

I really wish the retro mold becomes the standard for every new spiderman release. And we really, like, REALLY need a new more articulated female mold, like, come on, Hasbro what are waiting for? Sadly, after watching last Hasbro Pulse… they are stuck with old molds
I would appreciate it if they added more articulation to the female bodies as well but I'm not sure how they should do it. Not too crazy about an ab crunch cuz on older female figures from other companies it looks pretty bad, unless they make it pretty seamless like an import figure but that leads me to my next point. Should they go the import figure route like how MAFEX does ab crunches? On a Marvel Legends build I can see them having many problems since they don't really use that many super tiny parts and I can see that causing tons of QC issues, MAFEX already struggles with that as well so could you imagine if Hasbro did that with Marvel Legends? Personally I think they should experiment a bit with exaggerating female bodies to hopefully land on something that can be used on all female figures and why not? The Shriek body is great but it's the only new female buck and it's already getting a bit old, and we get a lot of exaggerated male characters already. I think they could pull off a 3 piece female torso for a character like She-Hulk who is already a bit bigger than the standard female figure (even some male figures) so the larger scale could help with part space, plus they could easily sell a classic suited version and an FF version, maybe build a Titania off that body too which would be fitting. Also hold off on butterfly joints cause I can't see them doing that right on a female buck and having it look good.
Hasbro and their g.i. Joe team already added the reverse ab crunch and butterfly joints on the baroness figure, so I guess they can do the same thing but with marvel female characters. I know the g.i. Joe team is different from the marvel legends one, but it's the same company, so they can find a way to add those points of articulation on their female body molds. I personally would like if they implement the reverse ab crunch on she-Venom, and toe hinges, if they ever decide to do a she-Venom figure.

Part of me believes why Hasbro skimps out on Marvel Legends is cause Disney is pushing them to make MCU figures first so they can squeeze some kind of profit from Phase 4 since everything has been terrible, which explains why the comic figures suffer with constant reuse. I mean just look at all the new sculpting and tooling for the MCU figures and then look at that Spider-Man five pack. But that's just a little conspiracy theory I cooked up.

What I like in your reviews is how you show what poses the figure can be posed istead of the boring "ups and downs, left and right".
