It’s funny how Hasbro are acting like they revolutionized the toe articulation when Toybiz has done for all their Marvel Legends
Same could be said for pinless joints, imports have been doing no pins for at least 2 decades
@@diegolaradiaz8948 right?! But when the marvel team does it they act like it is 100% original. Even the old Mattel Multiverse line (pre McFarlane) has had some figures be pinless. Although imports are higher end and cost more so that argument can’t hold up too much
It's cool that hasbro listen to what their fans want yet the requests are relatively basic things compared to other figure lines
@@muby102 they don’t listen to you if it’s a Genuine critique and concern. Watch any time they have an In-person q&a like at Sdcc this year.. they treat people so bad unless you are kissing their butt.
I don’t think they act super pretentious about it really. They made a big deal about it, because it is a big deal, it’s been a while since we’ve had them consistently. Sure Lizard and Beast had them but that didn’t ever guarantee Spidey would. They’re just excited they got it to production and hope the fans are happy with it, as it is an almost essential point of articulation for this character. Pinless joints on the other hand they do make a big deal about it but so does nearly everyone in the community even though no one complained about the pins before. Now people whine when we don’t have them. In any case this is a nice figure with nice quality of life upgrades from the retro.
The wall crawling hands make for great snuggling posing with MJ.

Nice review David 👌I agree with the mask accessory--would have been nice to see it here. Hasbro have done it before, notably with love triangle and retro brown suited wolverines...must have exceeded the budget here [wink wink]. I'm also waiting for that perfect lens shape--grew up with McFarlane and Bagley versions of the webhead. That said, this is pretty damn close and probably the best version Hasbro has done so far.

@@gugagamer2585 guga thank you. I don't think I was aware of these. I didn't see this on Walmart the other day unless I just scrolled.passed it. I'm gonna go look now. I did get lizard. I still need to get the joe storm shadow. I missed that. Hoping to get that in the future.
Glad the cell shading is minimal on here. Not really a fan of it. Besides the hole in the traps of venom the cell shading on that figure I don't like either. I canceled all my x men due to that. Thank you for taking the time and educating me on this spiderman guga.
The neck articulation on Spider-Man It’s still atrocious. They could have easily modded the neck for that body and giving it a cleaner, nicer looking neck and fixed the articulation on it

Absolutely adore this figure. The retro Ben Reilly head also fits if you want a smaller-eyed look.
I hear a lot of people saying this is better than the retro spiderman and I can honestly understand why, the toes just does it😁
Honestly it's not the toes that do it for me, it's the pinless elbows that tip this guy over the edge! I hate hate hate red pegs in Spider-Man elbows and it genuinely stopped me from buying the retro one

Called it! 8.5! And I understand. This guy looks FREAKING awesome. Give me this man! He looks SO good! The articulation, the colors, makes him pop off the shelf. I so want this guy. I REALLY hope I can get this. Pinless, and toe articulation makes it even better. Hasbro has out done themselves. Amazing figures. Good job, Hasbro.

Preordered a loose one from Dorkside along with Toad. For the longest time I was resolute about keeping the old super-poseable movie Spider-Man 2 figure as THE fig representing the webhead on my shelf, but seeing this thing broke me.

Hasbro released an SDCC exclusive Stan Lee/Spider-Man figure in 2007 that was a re-release of Toy Biz's Sentinel Wave 1st Appearance Spider-Man. For that special release we got our first Peter Parker head and an empty mask for Spidey to hold. They've never done it again and you're 100% correct, Dave! They should absolutely include that accessory on a future Spidey release ASAP. Thanks for the breakdown!

I finally found this pack at my semi-local Target and had to get it! Perfect spiderman figure. Or at least the best hasbro spiderman ever! He's replacing my retro carded classic spiderman. I love the bigger eyes, (retro was way to small) the brighter colors and the better hand options. Every spiderman should have wall crawling hands hasbro! The toe articulation is okay but I hated how the toy biz toes would hurt your poses. They became too loose and the figure would fall easily. Time will tell if this happens this time. Over all, this is my favorite spidey

I don’t really like the empty mask accessories, the half masked head though, that is an accessory I love.
I mean to be fair with the eyes they arnt just shooting in the dark with the sculpts.
This guy is Ryan Stegman inspired and the pizza spidey was camuncoli inspired because at the time that figure came out he was basically the books main artist.
I feel that this is THE definitive marvel legends spidey. I cant imagine it getting any better

You should do a leaderboard for all your highest rated figures. Liked top 5-10 and see who ends up on top at the end of every year.
Looking forward to adding this version of Spider-Man to my marvel legends collection soon I’ve had him on pre-order since he went up for pre-order over on big bang toys store I want to see the day after he was announced that said the anatomy on this figure looks a little odd to me and I’m not a big fan of auto articulation mostly because of the DC Multiverse line and the fact that I’ve had to pick I don’t know how many of those off their ass because they fall down all the time lol that said still looking forward to get my hands on this guy and having the in my opinion definitive Spider-Man for my legends collection great review man really enjoyed it

I wish we could get this kind've paint app for features, plastics for the skin tone, hair textures, and maskless heads as updates on a few characters of color. Misty Knight and White Tiger from the Rhino wave are the first such characters that comes to mind, cause Misty's eyes are fucked and Tiger had this overly basic design and no maskless face. I wish they had added a maskless head for this latest Black Panther figure. Luke Cage deserves a better face and body lol

I'm hunting this pack , the torso swivel makes sense as the human body swivel the torso and not the hips. I dont like the calf rotation cause for me it is an articulation unnecessary cause humans don't turn their shin.

Weird how everyone despise toy biz ml, but the more hasbro goes back in time and copy toybiz, everybody loves it, like toe hinges 🤦🏿♂️ I already knew they were great and helps with poseability.
People don’t hate TOYBIZ for toe joints and pinless joints
I actually dislike a lot of the aesthetic choices Hasbro made with this figure (dark blue on the suit, 2010s eyes, and the huge spider logo on the chest), but it's undoubtedly the best-engineered comic Spider-Man figure Hasbro has ever made. Between the pinless joints, slightly larger shoulders, and toe joints, It's definitely an upgrade from Retro Spider-Man.
I love the renew your vows Spider-Man SO much! For me personally it's the only marvel legends Spider-Man that can give the mafex one a run for it's money. I paid 52$ for this 2 pack after taxes but it was 52$ well spent!!!!! I actually think I'm done buying comic book Spider-Man figures because for me, Hasbro will not be able to top this figure.

Great toe articulation is game changing. Bad (floppy, unnecessary, poorly implemented) toe articulation can, ruin a figure (see many of Mcfarlane's offerings)

Always room for improvement. Better head articulation, Mask / web accessories, a lighter blue, Bagley style eyes, include a flight stand. There’s always ways to improve.

There's no excuse for that horribly protruding diaphragm joint Hasbro! Let alone the gargantuan thighs and low shoulders. The upcoming Spidey & His Amazing friends or Retro Animated Series Spidey are WAY better!
This Spider-Man figure is hella overrated. Spider-Man with articulated toes may as well be chicks with giant boobs cause legends collectors don't know how to react when he's revealed.
