Wow Josh, the video production has stepped up! Those transitions look pretty damn slick. Oh the Griot’s gun, yah it’s a $89 gun, Essentials Washer stainless for $52 FTW. MTM Hydro SG28 rocks for $79. Yes I have too many guns, won’t be buying a Griot’s Don’t get me started on Obsessed Ego’s $421.56 pressure washer gun and $38,123.09 Pressure Washer.
I also love my Harbor Freight stubby version. It works awesome with my foam cannon. Very happy with it and the price. No way I’d pay $130 for the same thing.
Great comparisons josh my giraffe tools hose reel hose split today after a month of owning it I’m currently waiting for the fitting to convert to the Uberflex hose after watching your previous video
I bought the Rigid shorty and a 50" Uberflex back on June 29th, 2024. I love them, they work great. I just bought a RYOBI 40v 1500 PSI cordless pressure washer for mobile detailing. I was going to buy another RIDGID and 50' Uberflex for it, but I found a MEKOH Short Pressure Washer Gun that came with a MEKOH 32ft Kink Resistant Pressure Washer Hose, 3500PSI 1/4" Power Washer Hose with M22 Brass Fittings in a bundle for $19.99. I just used them today and the gun and hose both work great, I am very pleased. The only complaint I have is the gun doesn't have a swivel but using it with a quick connect works as a swivel, good enough for me. Oh, the hose never kinked on me, not even once.
Great info @imjoshv ! Looks like the industry is approaching the era of "diminishing returns"... next version will likely have a carbon fiber shell, titanium bits, and Bluetooth capability so we can monitor flow and pressure. hahaha!
I really like and trust Griot’s Garage products but a few fall into the “you have to be kidding”, sadly agree this fits that category. The very best warranty but not a major factor for PW guns.
As a note on the active gun. You don’t need to push it past the ball. I think it was designed that way to minimize the force need to spray. Its the only gun I’ve used but I really like it
Thank you for not inserting music when you demonstrated the foaming/rinsing and drying. Maybe some other creators will follow…definitely stepping up on your production.
I kind of like the saftey on the griots Boss. Theres enough of a saftey where you cant pull it accidently but yet you can still squeze it enough where you can bypass without contously pushing the saftey button.
Josh, love your videos. Got the Ryobi press washer ($80) because of you, along with MJJC canon (with 1.1 orafice) Love them both. Just curious, is there a reason, you don't do head to head with DIY products, like Incredible Sudz? BTW, also got a cheaper short pressure wash gun on your recommendation. Not disappointed. Thanks.
Yo acabo de comprar la nueva giratoria de mckillans gracias a tus videos, esta del video es mejor ? Aún no me llega viene de importación Amazon usa a México
Very review! I love how u go through the whole unit and test it. Then u compare it to similar ones. But it’s ugly and disappointing in general, too bad.
Not sure what the other companies offer… Griot’s has a lifetime warranty. Yes, they carry a premium price but you only need to buy it once. Food for thought…
Hey Josh. Just to let you know, Rust-Oleum just jumped into the Detailing business. Maybe you can do a video on the products. By the way, the Griots gun is way over priced. Griot's is pricing themselves out of the business on every thing they sell.
You didn't make enough research. Mosmatic gun trigger stop is not a ball bearing. It's a pin that is easy to remove. That way, you have option to not have stop.
I love a lot of Griots products, and I have the G8 and G9 polisher, BUT… this stubby, and Lot of there tools and accessories are overpriced. I paid 39.99 for my toolcy snubby and have no complaints. Foam cannon is Astro AI and that was 21.99 and works great.
It's a gun that sprays water.. Shouldn't cost more than $20. $130 is ABSURD LOL that's a scam. The ridgewasher pressure washer gun is the best on the market because it has a trigger lock which is a life saver (hand saver really). And it only costs $25... Been using my $25 ridgewasher for years with no issues at a fraction of the price of these Guucie water guns
$20? Would you design, market, inventory, keep the lights on, and compete with other brands at $20 if you were the owner? Get out of here guy. I agree it’s high at $130 but they aren’t running their business to break even so someone can buy their product to (in most cases) make a profit with their detailing business. I don’t think any gun on the market is $20.
@@aaron30569sgs is my favorite too 🐐 I’ve compared it to a bunch of cheaper Amazon guns I even tried a mosmatic gun and decided I like the MTMSGS28 the best 🐐
WAY overpriced. I bought a RIDGE WASHER Pressure Washer Gun on Amazon with tax included was $38 bucks. It's built good and works perfectly. There's absolutly no reason to pay that price for a pressure washing gun Griots are nuts pricing it at that. 👎👎
At $130 it sounds like your paying for the brand name. It's no different than any other stubby gun. Josh I believe you have way too many stubby guns. 😆
Personal opinions aside … quality comes at a cost. Pressure washer guns come in many different shapes, sizes and materials. They’re priced accordingly. You CAN cheap out and get a $10 gun and it will be perfectly fine for a good long while. Nothing wrong with doing it on the cheap. However, if you want matching colors, swivels, quick disconnects, brass or stainless, high impact plastic, nozzle holders or any number of other features … you’re going to have to pony up the extra scratch for them. The Griots gun, is it worth the price? That largely depends on the individual. I don’t think it’s outrageously priced for what it is. I don’t like the way it looks, but the price is fair considering how it’s made. Would I buy it? …. maybe, but probably not. I have 2 stainless MtM guns and I have no need for others. But the Griots gun certainly falls under that banner of “one and done” type of purchase. 😊😊😊
Yea I completely agree with you! I just feel that even with the premium components I think pressure washer guns should probably top out at around the $80 mark. I personally think that after that there is a point of diminishing returns. I think for people that have a garage full of griots products then this is an easy choice and they will be ok with the extra cost to have a complete look.
If you appreciate and support Griot's then buy the gun. That is how they stay in business. If you want to support some nameless 3rd world business, then do that. Being cheap doesn't make you virtuous. Some people evidently spend way too much time and effort trying to cheap out. I guess it is how they measure their self-worth. Chasing cheap doesn't seem very satisfying. Then again, they probably complain about price and never buy anything anyway.
@FrankRicci-c1u That isn't what I typed. Stop reaching. Support who you want to support. It is your money and people have options. I would get zero satisfaction out of purchasing cheap stuff. Plus it has to carry over into other aspects of one's life. I'd hate to not experience better things because I value being cheap over quality of life.
I love my Harbor freight stubby gun that you reviewed ,for the price and what it does Iam very impressed
Exactly my thoughts

Hi Josh. I really do appreciate your honest opinions when you test these items. Thank you
You bet! Thanks for watching
Hey Josh, your reviews are the best especially because they always seem honest and not biased. I’d love if you reviewed Griots polishers.
Griot’s is proud of their stuff. Overpriced in my opinion, but it generally works as advertised. Great review.

Do you have an item # for the Ridgid shorty? I don’t see them listed on Home Depot’s site anywhere.

Man just now heard of this and i love griots products but o hope they adjust the pricing I could use this starting over with a pressure washer set up

Good day, where does the MJJC gun fall in ?
The only Griots product I’ve tried is the 3 in 1 ceramic spray sealent which is phenomenal.
Yeah they make tons of really great products!
Not sure what the other companies offer… Griot’s has a lifetime warranty. Yes, they carry a premium price but you only need to buy it once.

Good point, but you can also buy a few guns for the equal amount of money. Assuming years of use before needing to be replaced and it might be equal.
Can you review the vevor electric pressure washer 2150-PSI 1.85-GPM? It’s only 89.99 and there are no reviews on it and it’s small and compact
I want to see if it competes with the other 100 $ dollar pressure washers
That price tag though is a no for me
Yea i agree, hard to justify that
I am considering this or the SGS28 which one do you recommend?
Get what you want.
Sgs28 is cheaper, with an extremely easy pull. It's the industry standard for a good reason.

Right!
