    The MTM and Mosmatic guns are at such an angle because they are designed for the ergonomics of industrial cleaning like concrete and house soft washing. I got this Swivel gun pro a couple weeks ago and enjoy it much better. I retired my Mosmatic because it really was uncomfortable on my wrist, especially when you have a powerful pressure washer pushing your hand back and you have to fight against the water pressure.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yup, the were designed for car washing. I have not tried a Mosmatic to know it’s trigger pull. I choose the SGS28 simply because of the trigger pull. The angle is more fatigue, but the trigger feel helps alleviate some of the wrist fatigue. Also, being an enthusiast I’m not washing cars all day which could bring out fatigue I might not feel.

    I have the OG spec gun, and it's my go to one. Again it's like the Kranzle, if you have the money it's a great option, but if you're on a budget and like to abuse the crap out of your tools, the SGS 28 is probably the way to go. I keep an SGS 28 on standby because of how good it is and the comfort of the trigger pull. Keep in mind too, I'm a weekend warrior type guy, so I'm not detailing every day, so I don't send my equipment through the ringer as much as other professionals would and I baby my tools 😅 personally I think you'll prefer the SGS over the OG spec/Mosmatic one just because of the price point and the few improvements the Mosmatic has. Build quality seems really good on both guns but again, my experience so far hasnt been as extensive as others in the professional world. I really love the videos! Keep em up. You've been a go to guy for me on new tools and equipment and I always love the honesty. I'd love a chance to talk Detailing with ya anytime!

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Appreciate the kind words and have thought about reviewing the OG spec. I would assume the biggest reason to get it is the swivel? I don’t think it has a lighter pull than the sgs28. I’m not a fan of click triggers in spray guns either. Fittings probably better as well. The bodies are probably the same plastic. The internal MTM might have an advantage due to the stainless screws and nickel plating. I think the Mosmatic is just brass. I think the SGS28 for what it delivers is actually a bit underpriced which I like a lot.

    • @BNSF1238
      @BNSF1238 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@CarsWithKeav The swivel is absolutely insane. There's almost little to no difference between it being pressurized or unpressurized, smooth as butter. The trigger pull isn't as easy on initial pull as the SGS, but I like how the trigger sorta locks, it allows you to relax a little, but I think it's more of an individual preference thing. The fittings are really nice and probably my biggest complaint is the brass internals. For the price point I think it should be stainless or at least zinc coated. Although I'm not an expert, and I don't think it really hinders/improves performance, maybe just longevity. Totally agree though, for a pressure washer gun that does everything you need it to, and does it really well, it's a great bargain.

      @forcedinduction_drive1975 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    Great video! Just like how the swivel is different when under pressure, it would be nice to see what the trigger pull is like when the gun is pressurized since that changes how much you have to pull to start spraying. Not sure there would be a difference in their ranking, but curious if their internal mechanisms are affected the same under pressure and how that would affect the trigger pull differences between them?
    I've noticed a major difference in pressure washers and their required initial trigger pull force. For example, the Active 2.3 keeps the pressure about 600 psi when not in use, which makes the initial trigger pull super light. But with the AR630TSS it keeps the pressure about 1600 which makes the force required to pull the trigger initially much higher (even with SGS28), then you get that initial pop and recoil as the pressure blasts from 1600 to 0 briefly before the motor kicks in. I definitely prefer the 2.3 in that regard.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I’m not sure why I didn’t read trigger pull pressurized. For some reason didn’t even think of that. In my experience though the trigger pull is the same when it comes to ranking them. Pressurized the pull might be slightly more say 10% to 20%, but it’s added across the board. I’ll be sure to keep that in mind the next time I test trigger guns. Thanks for the feedback it’s much appreciated. Yes the 2.3 has the easiest linear ramp up that I have seen and it’s not slow it comes on pretty quick.

  • @still-DJ
    @still-DJ 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Another great review. After having bilateral carpal tunnel surgery in 2000, it's important (to me anyway) that the trigger pull is very easy. No one wants to have a hard-to-pull pressure washer gun. The AR Annovi Reverberi MV925 ($21.00 Amazon stripped or $37.00 on eBay and it's made in Italy. I own 2 MV925 and love them and they live in a 140-degree garage all summer long), the MTM SGS28, and the MTM SGS35 are also very easy to pull and use all day long non-stop. Also, I've just tested a few dirt cheap guns for Amazon that now are finally starting to offer the option to "Lock" them in the on-position. Very handy when pressure washing Semi-Trucks, long trailers, and Class-A motorhomes. I hope these big companies start offering the lock "ON" feature on their higher-end guns. A great feature Active could/should add to their pressure washer gun. After all, we're all looking for the right tools to make the jobs/tasks easier not harder. Again, great review.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Trigger pull is the deciding factor for me on spray guns every time. I’ve talked to some companies and they said they would not add locks as it’s a liability. Crazy to see Harbor Freight selling one now, but it’s just a direct copy or rebrand of the Ridge Washer. I think it’s great for like you said RV’s, big trucks, etc. where you might have to stretch and reach really high.

    • @still-DJ
      @still-DJ 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@CarsWithKeav Amen. I've seen many use zip-ties for locks. Liability is a good old-fashioned excuse they're giving you. That'd be like a polisher manufacturer saying that's why they won't put a lock button on their polishers. Heck, a weak or defective PW hose is more of a liability. I am glad you did ask. Consumer stupidity is not a liability. Since the pressure washers came out, I have never once used that worthless lockout safety feature on the gun, not one time. Yes, I have children and grandchildren who do not like being around pressure washers (the noise alone keeps them away). Our know-nothing government(s) made it a requirement to have that in place, yet many firearms and weapons have no safety features. FYI Greeworks had a huge recall on their OEM PW guns that came with retail PWs that would explode/burst/fall apart in the user's hand during use. They were all plastic where the hose connected. You'd need to look that up on their website and search "recall" for PW model numbers and gun type. Greeworks was fast to replace mine (no charge) with one made of metal on the inside. Thank you for all the great reviews and your time.

      @@still-DJ yeah and they can’t ship short guns with pressure washers in the U.S. due to some rules about people hurting themselves. They can ship a short gun kind of, but in the box there can be no way to use it as a short gun. That’s why the EGO has a 3/8 quick connect at the end of the gun so the 1/4 ones that come with it can’t be used short and only with the wand. You can adapt yourself just can’t come with it. 🤣 New pressure washers from Ava of Norway are now in the states I’ll be reviewing them soon. They made an adapter to use 1/4 on their shortgun, but have to lost it separate as not allowed to ship in the box. 🤷‍♂️

    I’ve always heard of a rumour to not keep pre mixed soap as the foam quality or cleaning ability will degrade.
    Could you perhaps test the foaming/cleaning ability of pre mixed soap such as your 32:1 DIY container and/or rinseless kept in a keg sprayer for a month or so?
    Could maybe compare to a freshly mixed solution.
    Would be an interesting educational topic. Would love to keep more pre mixed chems if they stayed good for at least 1-3 months.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@VassRulez I’m not sure on other soaps, but DIY detail Yvan encourages saving soap. I don’t use the sponge for rinseless or my bucket soap Incredible suds. I use multiple microfibers and don’t return them to the bucket. So when I’m done I seal the top with Gama lids and will hold till the next wash. As long as it’s sealed Yvan says it doesn’t degrade and will hold for several months. Keeping them out of UV light from say the garage door being opened or a window will help as well. Even with P&S brake buster I have seen no issue pre-diluting. It’s something to think about, but I use my soaps pretty regularly so nothing ever sits for more than a month at the most.

    Chemical guys released their new version of their snubby gun. Comes with 3 quick disconnects and the snubby for $39.
    The gun feels nice in the hands.

    Yikes 4 pounds of pressure for the Essential gun…that is unacceptable and I’m pissed that I ended up buying it before looking into it more. No wonder my hand starts to get strained after a minute of washing smh. Also on mine it does not spin that well under pressure. Might have to get the SGS 28 now simply for the fact of the crazy light amount of pressure needed to engage the trigger

    • @CarsWithKeav

      @CarsWithKeav  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I have tried them all and the ones with the lock they’re are nice, but for the $30 you get a 5lb tension trigger. Once you try one that is less than a pound you’ll never want to use those again. The lock is nice, but the SGS28 is
      So easy to hold you don’t even need the lock.

      I am u sure as we don’t have the Bosch pressure washers here in the states so I don’t know the connections. I’m guessing this is another country and Amazon there doesn’t have the SGS28 with the fittings installed? I know I’m the U.S. you can buy with the fittings already installed.

      @@vikhyatraghav You should be able to use something like this to convert your hose to the the quick connect and then attach to the spray gun. This listing has both 14mm and 15mm. amzn.to/3ztPgo1 I am unsure of what size Bosch is as I couldn't find it researching google. I always measure the inside piece with a digital caliper to find out what size it is.

    Most parts of a vehicle, especially the dirtiest ones, are lower than a human's arm. I think the MTM angle is more ergonomic unless your height is 4'11

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That is a great observation I didn’t even think of it. It was designed for industrial cleaning and using with surface cleaners which is why it’s at that angle.

    • @timkinley1779
      @timkinley1779 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @CarsWithKeav The angle is also determined because most applications are intended to have a longer wand attachment. Longer wands generally have a hand grip for your other hand to aim. That is the ergonomic angle for two hand operation.
