You’re definitely right about the 6’ 8” spinning rod, its a really good rod for lighter jerkbaits for bass and trout, luckily you dont need a crazy hookset/backbone with treble-hook jerkbaits,, just lean into it…
Yes I would think so. I just started using the medium light for trout fishing. In my opinion it's to light for bass fishing but it's awesome for using a spinner on the streams

Would this rod be good for panfish? Since it’s fast action and is more towards a medium light rod?
