Even quicker and much more flexible: use curves. Yeah, curves can be a pita, but if you use the free addon Bezier Utilities, that takes away a lot of that pain.
Something must be wrong with my Blender installation (3.4.1) because I can't see the rest of the wireframe created by the Screw Modifier in Edit Mode, only the first vertex and those I extrude. Other modifiers like Mirror have the "On cage" option but I shouldn't need it because when you entered wireframe mode by pressing Z while editing the circle (3:01) all the wireframe appear without the need to activate anything else. The only "not already inlcuded" addon I have installed is Machin3Tools 1.3.0.
can you show how to export animation for this modifier i have made a spring and added animation but the animation doesn't up in unity (exporting it as fbx)
I think it's very confusing and unintuitive for most people, and that's why no one uses it. If you use a curve and have your object screw around a curve, you can do some pretty awesome things with it.
Okay,,,,, wow. The simplicity of the process while making really useful refined models. Thank you.
This tutorial is easy to follow! Hope you will create more. Thank you😄
nice tip. Thanks!
Oh nicee!! Just learned something
thank you
