I just want to free roam around Tokyo-To like in JSRF and I want a great story and also we need to introduce newer characters like Coin and new rival gangs too.🤷🏽♂️😊
So its been shown recently that Sega hired someone for online multiplayer meaning that story mode could have the option to be played multiplayer which I've always wanted Also heres hoping the story and characters are very memorable with Voice acting and everything. Like instead of a super deep stoy route it goes Fast and he Furious balls to the walls crazy❤
Not gonna lie when Future came out I was smitten was just like an unbelievable upgrade at the time and it was so smooth with the controls by comparison. Music was phenomenal and the artwork all round was just all better in my opinion. If there was an updated mash of both games I can accept but I hope a lot of influence is from future as it was truly in my opinion brilliant and underrated at the time!
Same here. I remember a friend of mine introducing me to the game. He was like, have you played this extreme skating game, called Jet Set Radio Future? I was like no but, I don’t care for “extreme” sports-type games like Dave Mirra and Tony Hawk. He was like, this game is DIFFERENT. And maaaaan, was it ever! It definitely was one of my favorite games of all time.
I think we need a coop mode in single player where we can play online with friends or local offline with family. But i think we need a female captain along with Onishima and Hayashi, and we have to have a mixture of bosses from JSRF and JSR too.
Great analysis man, agree with everything you said, especially hoping that they learn some things with Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, maybe even a collaboration!
You forgot character customization. Even if it's not a straight up CAC adding different clothing pieces to existing characters would be cool. Not just costumes but interchangeable clothing pieces
I didn't bring up character customization because I didn't feel that it was needed much. I think just having different color variants like what BRC had is good enough, personally.
@@RisingSonic17 I was thinking more like what My Hero ones Justice 2 did. Where it's not full on costume changes but pieces you can add to their existing costume. Helmets, bandanas, masks, bunny ears, headphones, that type of stuff.
If they are going open-world to expanded on the free roam concept from JSRF that would be cool. I wouldn't mind them adding in Character Creation and let players play as their own Custom Member of the GGs basically play as the Custom GG during the tutorial stage, and then post-tutorial play as every member of the GGs including the Custom Character.
Another thing I’d like to add… double jumps would be great. That feature in BRC was implemented so well and I’d love to see it in JSR. Honestly, the whole trick system in BRC, in general, was awesome and a similar trick/combo system in JSR would be sweet. It doesn’t have to be an exact copy, but something close to it would be nice. The fact that we could mess-up in BRC, but still have the opportunity with manual tricks on the ground and boost tricks to “save the combo” was nice.
You know when I wrote my script, I did initially wanna add like an air dash like in BRC because it was such a great mechanic. I decided against it since I think to keep it a bit more authentic to JSR, just have it have a regular jump since they don't got boost packs.
@@RisingSonic17, they don’t have boost packs, but you have to remember that in JSRF the skates are boost powered. But even if they don’t implement a double jump, maybe just be able to control the amount of boost like BRC. That would be a nice touch, as opposed to just burning through 10 spray cans and blasting around all willy-nilly.
Main thing I want is more use of the characters in the story and showing their personalities. And, for the unlockable characters that have little to no role, maybe just a few small optional quests, so we get to learn a little bit about them. Besides that, gameplay wise just be more like JSRF and BRC. For multiplayer, a mode similar to Resident Evil's Mercenaries would be kind of perfect for JSR. A timed score attack/horde mode. Especially for a coop (2-4 players) online thing. Basically, you choose a map and like any JSR you go around doing graffiti. You're only given maybe 3 minutes to start and you would gain points and increase the timer through graffiti and other actions like tricks and police K.O's. A mode like this could make learning the different areas in Tokyo-to (especially if its a bigger Tokyo-to) really fun.
More character interaction and story involvement is the most I want because they have all the tools and ideas from Future and BRC to make the gameplay solid And I think they could really flesh out coop multiplayer. Especially now where online is very popular and in a much better place than it was decades ago. Hell, I think just a free roam where we can hang out could also be fun
I just hope that the game won't be exclusive and/or any platform be excluded like for example if the game was gonna be in Xbox & Nintendo & maybe PC and not PlayStation, it would be either shameful. Also Sega should stuck to one name of a characters and one name of a characters only, no more confusion with Corn & Tab or Slate with Soda or Mew with Rhyth and other more. And another thing, Sega should decide who gonna actually be the *Leader of the GGs* this time, either *Beat* or *Corn* ???
They should definitely try to push for at least, PS5, PC, and Xbox. I also would prefer we finally have the one definitive name. I think with Beat being at the forefront again, safe to assume it's gonna be Beat
Death ball isn't so bad. I do hope to see some lore and story in the new jsr.. I like the game's kinda story because of how mysterious and ominous it is. It really breaks into the uncanny valley.
I do overexaggerate, it really isn't that bad. It is however, boring filler. More lore is the one thing I truly wanna see the most. I wanna see things more fleshed out
I would love for the plot to be in the same over-the-top Shonen Anime style as JSRF nothing wrong with JSR's mostly realistic plot even the ending invalidating most of the final level was some what decent. But I was more a fan of the over-the-top Shonen Anime style that JSRF had.
Considering its made in the same branch that currently makes PSO2 NGS, we will see alot of multiplayer and online. Maybe movement will be heavily modified pso2 ngs.
Tbh, I really don’t think speed was an issue in vanilla BRC. Granted I’ve never played with Movement +, but there were ways to increase speed by tricking, plus you have boost. Don’t get me wrong, the movement mod looks cool, but to me, to constantly be at that speed just seems silly. I don’t think the characters need to be coked-out OP super-powered speedsters. Especially considering that a lot of the music tracks are pretty mellow and chill. But, maybe that’s just me. Either way, I hope the new JSR, plays at about that same speed as vanilla BRC. Still a great video and I personally pretty much agree with the rest of your points, really. Keep up the great work.
I think the wall plant/jump from wall to wall is a great idea, but have it just be for specifically “rougher” textured walls. Kind of like how you can’t wallride EVERY wall, just billboards. But definitely some cool parkour plants and jumps would be a great thing to complete certain mission objectives would be kick-ass.
The main issue in Vanilla was that there was a lack of momentum. You really only got a small burst of speed from the rails and the boost at least did the job on the ground, but on the rail, you actually didn't gain speed at all. I think it just needed to be just a tiny bit faster, but the game was built really well with this speed.
defintely agree with all of this! But a unrelated question, which names do you think they will go with for Corn/Tab, Mew/Rhyth, Piranha/Boogie and Slate/Soda? also, unrelated to the first, do you think they will make Coin and Clutch into one person, or keep them separate?
I'm also hoping they have great music, Like JSRF did, or remix music from the unlicensed songs in JSRF like Understand The concept or love, funky dealer, shape da future, humming the bassline, etc.
Wait... Its actually real? I thought it was just a smoke up my ars* like how every now and then we get timesplitters 4 rumours that never come to anything
For bosses, comparing JSR n Future bosses to BRC bosses are night n day. I hope JSR devs take notes from BRC cuz BRC almost perfected boss fights, it just needed a lock on aim and for easy/normal mode, a indicator so that players won't get stuck in bosses. Other than that, the fights are still way fun compared to JSR imo. Im fine with spraying on enemies but JSR n Future way for bosses are just either janky thxs to the controls or plain easy since most of them is just get close to the enemy and hold down the spray button to quickly wipe them out. My favorite fight is Dj Cyber since the first phase requires u to deflect the disc back at him and spray at him. Then second phase, dodging bombs, boost at his weird spider vehicle, and spray at him. Adding more combat n parkcour would give more variety for each boss so i hope the JSR devs take notes for this, otherwise if they go with the JSR route then the boss fights would be either too janky or too boring.
Yeah, I do respect BRC for getting a little more creative with its boss fight. Managed to take one of the most boring parts of Future and managed to make it a bit more interesting. But fumbled on the police being more active while you're trying to get graffiti because your movement is so good in that game that it's super easy to avoid them. You're also in a much bigger space to avoid them. I think the implementation of the police system and boss fight will be a tricky one depending on the route they decide to go for the gameplay
@@RisingSonic17 Ngl, there is one thing that made the polices in BRC somewhat of a treat and it's the police chains that hold ur speed. Its still easy to avoid them n even if u get caught by them, all u have to do is just do tricks n boom u basically gtf outta there. If the JSR devs takes a look into the police chains and adds more creative aggressive ways to stop the player from getting away, then I think they will hit the mark and makes the cops more dangerous. As for spray paint, I kinda like BRC way to spray paint but at the same time I get the enjoyment of hurrying up and spray before the cops gets u in JSR. The only thing I dislike is using the sticks to spray paint from JSR since sometimes it would be unresponsive and ur just circling the sticks around. I like BRC spray paint mechanic more since at adds more variety to spray paint graffitis differently. I think the solve to this is if the team could combines both BRC way to spray paint while still having more stakes of dealing with the police. Maybe if for larger walls to spray paint, have the player connect the dots three or more times while allowing the cops to intrude the player by running down or shooting like in JSR.
Oh man. I ain't too great with ideas for who should join in on the music front. Obviously Hideki gotta be in there, but I also would love to see Richard Jacques make his return as well. I got some friends of mine like Chidow who I'd love to see on the soundtrack and who knows, 2 Mello might make the cut too. Maybe a surprise by some composers from Sonic and Persona. But I think what's always so cool about JSR soundtracks is that they give a lot of lesser known artists some limelight. So we shall see
