- This is How to recruit Karla
This only works in Hectors Mode
How to unlock:
The Character Bartre must be a level 5 Warrior
Karla will appear in chapter 31x as an NPC unit
Talk to Her with Bartre
IMPORTANT NOTE: They BOTH must survive the battle

Well they do like a Couple because they fight with each other.
The more a Couple fights, the closer they are.
Actually it ends with her dying from disease.

Luckily she gave birth to Fiir before her disease. Now Bartre is a loving father is he not

Yay Karla~ I know this is kinda old, but anyway there's an easier method to recruit her without having fear of killing her with an overtrained Bartre. Just give him a bow and enter, you will only see Karla attacking. xD

I finished Fe7 today, on my way to Fe6
enjoy! fe6 lacks some of the polish fe7 has but it is still a good game nonetheless. i just replayed it recently and had a blast.
You know this was true love when no one damaged each other in that duel lmao
ah Karla, always in her brother's shadow. though to be fair, you never really are needing for a female swordmaster in FE7. I mean you already have Lyn, who is basically female swordmaster with 100% more archery.
Furthermore, Karla is available in very late game. 0 reason to train her since you already have Guy/Matthew/Karel/Lyn/Jaffar etc.
@@Ohbjgeeuhxdd don't forget she has some of the worst base stats for a pre promote unit
At least the enemies are weak enough, so you can train her if you want to.

Why is Karla so needlessly complicated to recruit. And so late in the game too

I guess it's to go along with the canon established in FE6 (where Bartre reminisces about this arena fight happening years later). It's a shame that you can't do it until near the end of the game though.

@@Barrylocke Looking back, I think you're 100% right. Her being playable this game is almost more of an easter egg/reference to FE6 then anything else, which is actually kind of cool
Idk if it's her or Jaffar that are the hardest to recruit
She'd probably be *decent*...... if she joined 10 chapters earlier
for reals, everyone is saying stuff like "oh all this for a terrible unit" but honestly it's the reverse. she's terrible specifically because you have to do all this.
her stats are perfectly fine for her level but she'd be behind any other properly trained melee unit at this point in the game and you only get like 3 chapters to use her.
Make you sure you don’t give Bartre a weapon
Space Ghost She leaves if you try to fight her with no weapon.

Well that's really hard to justify getting this character, Bartre seems like a rude wanker calling her wench, his benched on my Eliwood run since day 1, I guess on Hector mode, I'd really have to double consider
The developers sure weren't nice to Karla; she didn't deserve this. :(
What's the ideal level for Bartre to be for them both to survive?
@Noah Avshalom Funny. I quit my playthrough months ago and just restarted it like a couple days ago. When you say an iron rune, do you mean an iron ax? And I thought they fight in the arena so the weapon was determined for you.
@Noah Avshalom Ok thanks it's been a while since I played the Eliwood campaign, so I guess the iron rune slipped my mind. I'll try it out.

I'm still new in Fire Emblem and currently at 26 (haven't played that chapter yet), planning to include her in my party to my journey of beating the game without anyone dying (I already failed because I accidentally killed Guy without knowing we can recuit him but, oh well. Also I only noticed it when I was already like chapter 17 and I don't have any save states before I meet guy.)
Still I'm going to beat the game even though I technically failed my main objective. I'm focusing on understanding the story anyway but I also want to experience the game itself.
Honestly, I've done so many resets already that I don't even know how much I've spent playing FE7 (The play time on save states doesn't count because it doesn't really involve the times I have to reset so characters wont die)
I just want to share my experience in the game. Though I'm interested on what FE game I should play next. Since I'm getting near on completing FE7.
@@rusheru7787 Hope you're enjoying the game so far ! :) But sadly, Karla is only available on Hector Hard Mode, which means not before your 3rd playthrough (Hector Normal Mode is unlocked after completing the game once, then Hard Mode after completing Hector Normal Mode)
After that, if you like the game, I'd strongly recommend playing FE6, which is a sequel to FE7.
Why wouldn't they make her recruitable if you sent Karel to the arena
Does Bartre have to be exactly lv 5 cause in my Hector playthrough I had to use him to beat Kishuna in Chapter 23x. He's now a Lv 14 warrior.

Honestly, she is probably the worst character in FE7. At least give her FE6 Karel stats/growths to make up for it damn
Hell just his stats would be fine...
By finishing him...I think she had a different idea in mind...
So that what the recruitment is like, but her level though...I bet its doable to be able to level her up to max before Endgame, though it seems that it won't be easy. Is she worth it as a unit?

once I RNG abused her to Max stats so if you want a Female Swordmaster go for it.
So... what happens if you try to talk to her with Karel? I have, surprisingly to me, *never* tried this.

the answer you're looking for is likely in the description. either you're playing Eliwood mode or Bartre isn't a level 5 Warrior.

@Noah Avshalom Hawkeye and Pent combo huh not bad, yeah jaffar is pretty good but he does not have support with my any other character, Jaffar is a one man army if supported by Nino
