- It's been a loooooong time since I last uploaded something, so here it is. This is a small compilation of interesting arena battles back when I did some arena grinding for my FE6 journeys.
I will start making the FE6/FE8 journeys since some of the characters are not done yet, but I will only focus on that when RNG starts bullying me during my FE7 zero growth run. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. - เกม

I love how the crits are literally "let's style on this scrub" in the gba games
The animations for these games are just top notch quality
Not just the crits but almost all the attack animations (besides the Berserker, he looks like he trips and drops his axe on the enemy) are beautiful. I would go out of my way to level up my Knights to get Generals just so I could watch them straight harpoon their enemies. Honestly prefer this older style to the more 3D look of more recent games.
I did see some inspiration from the GBA era in the Generals from FE Fates. Their axe crit animation is the same spin twice and strike as the old one.
I wish we could have animation that flashy now days.
Wait and hope that these games get remakes and they keep the crits. They gonna be like the end battle cutscene in warriors hopefully, fully animated and smooth but with combat still involved.
Beserker: **Throws his axe in the air** "Alright, I got it, I got it!!"
Lilina: **Shrugs off the hit and giggles cutely, before her hands ignite on fire** "Haha, that was cute. Let me show you how it's done."

Wow I veguely remembered this channel, and only because I remember you correcting me that assassins can't silencer final bosses.
Even though I'm pretty sure I did.
A simple google search is enough for you to confirm that you can't silence final bosses.
Well, if you are really that certain, just go ahead and do it, I'm not stopping you to waste your time playing the whole thing for something impossible.

She comes with 2 base defense and a 10% growth in said area. Truly she is Hector's daughter

That last one (where Bartre dies) is supposed to be only like a 9% of happening (18% twice)... This is why I don't trust the supposed Crit Rate % in FE games lol (they always seem to be higher than what it says, like twice as high)
Edit: ~3% actually (0.18 x 0.18 = 0.0324), as someone pointed out... was lazy with ma math. Frickin 1 in 33 chance, though!

100 x 100 = 10000
324/10000 chance which simplifies down to 81/2500
Which is 3.24%
Edit: The overall chance is even lower because of the need to calculate the hit rate first, and that isn't 100%

@@Wizzkidwas From what I can tell, crits are calculated first, then hits, since every crit will always hit and i doubt that axe user in the video got a 35% hit chance and THEN a 25% crit, but rather the reverse.

@@unknownstranger6558 One hard mode playthrough my Rutger had capped strength before the infamous chapter 8, with just a Steel Sword he completely massacred the Wyvern Riders that even Marcus had problems to beat in Normal Mode.
The animations are easily the best thing about the GBA Fire Emblem games
Don't forget the banging soundtracks.
I was so dissapointed with whatever the fuck was that thing they used on Shadow Dragon, to this day idk of they are 3D models or sprites, they just look ugly

I've started playing a few days ago (I don't know how in the world TH-cam knows this because it just started recommending me FE videos all of a sudden, I'm scared) and I feared the games would look dated and kind of an eyesore. But this game's animations are honestly so cool I could watch them forever. I didn't expect a GBA game to have such awesome, fluid animations.

What is this? 2006-2009? That was the time people used to post FE6-8 videos of lucky arena wins or unlucky losses from the RNG goddess but seriously it makes me feel nostalgic

These games recently became a lot more accessible to people, I guess? No clue. I'm only getting to play them for the first time now, on my modded DSi, so a lot of these videos I kept getting recommended randomly have context XD
For me it's love hate. I hate how often 1% crit happens and I love how often 1% crit happens lol
I was hit by a 11% chance to hit that had a 1% chance to critical in three houses. It hit and crit at the same time.
Isn’t the math a 1% chance to hit 100%, and a 99% chance to hit for 11% accuracy?
I don’t, unless Houses changed things, think you have to hit first and then crit happens, rather if it crits it takes priority and automatically hits.

I have had almost 100% crit in one of the games that has gamble, I don't remember which, but around 10-20 hit. Does not confirm a crit can confirm

@@shinobix4925 depends on the game. My Rutger can crit anything not protected by some anti crit item or ability and has enough strength to kill anything with his crits. He double crit Zephiel without getting hit once in that level
Debayan sen gupta rutger is undoubtedly fe6’s best combat unit. but units like milady or perceval are generally considered better because they can fight almost as well, and can also ferry around important units like roy or, rutger, for example. so mounted and flying classes would be considered better, but i think it’s more conducive to attribute a character’s strength to their traits, not there class. i think we can both agree that fir and rutger are very different despite both being swordmasters, as well as milady and zeiss

@@roymain8090 3D and sprites don't get along that pretty well. Unless they cut 3D animations to make them flashy but I think it will be hard to replicate crit sprites of Swordmaster, BL Lyn, Myrmidon and etc...
@@roymain8090 no please, fire emblem should go back to being 2d. They just cant make a good enough graphic for their 3d games. Color pallettes a mess, shading looks like its done by amateurs.

my first run bors wasn't doing so well, Barth would get his usual health and defense only, while Wendy got a lot of everything.
Yes Wendy is better than Barth but is still trash. I only used her when I wanted to challenge myself

getting characters over the hump is the only problem; when you know, RNG actually rolls some nice stats for once. i've always been a fan of armor knights, but fe6 really just does them dirty.

Honestly I prefer all GBA style of Fireemblem and wish they would just make more games with this style of art/animations and just flex with some quality of life stuff like in Sacred Stone. Add Arena's that are spread out over levels but in a New Game+ you can go back to these spots and farm them as needed. That or just extend the campaign for longer... would be need to go deeper into the quality of gameplay with these sick animations and style.
Lilina is a monster in this game when leveled up correctly.
Eh..... she's just going to do some high and accurate chip damage and not really killing anything that's not wyvern, but she's underrated anyw

I haven't played the GBA games in a decade (and never played 6) I remember the B button being the most unresponsive bullshit ever.
Every round is so nerve-wracking. I legit started sweating.
Every clip in this video fills me with anxiety.
This reminds me of FE4's Arena, which always had stuff like this.
especially because the arena there doesn't inflict perma-death, so you can just try over and over again until you get lucky and some crazy stuff happens
@@acka. Technically outcomes are seeded, like everything else in FE4, except that there's absolutely no way to change the outcome in FE4's arena unless you start the chapter over from the beginning and enter it at a different turn...
@@auraguard0212 nope, i mean they are fixed, but the results change every time another character wins an arena match, so if one gets stuck you can send a different unit and once they win a fight you can go back and give it another try with the previous unit. The only way to keep getting the same result is if you keep sending the same character over and over making no changes whatsoever.
Ah the Arena. A great place to increase your anxiety. Amazing, no?

The funny thing is, the odds are basically the exact same between this game and the other two GBA games. It's just confirmation bias.
Statistics: A 33% chance means you crit one every 3 times on average , not crit 3 times in a row.

Ive always loved that the Generals had the lance attached to a chain and snags it back after attacking. Its like I may not be able to move but I've got hella range bitch. Haha
i go to arena always leveling up every army of Mine,using save state and load state,and using healer also,and yesterday i just upgraded all of my army😁

Iirc Bartre could equip bow and fight arguably better advantage (since he would fight range enemies instead of melee ones, thus he wouldn't fight enemies with potentially disadvantage and bows are more accurate iirc)
Why I love fire emblem games on GBA just started 7 because I could never play through awakening. 7 is so much more fun I can never go back should I just bite the bullet and jump to switch ?
the Arena is wack as fuck yo, but you get some really good moments like these from them, my favorite was Gonzales.
The only things that I see are my swordmaster and enemy swordmaster.

To be fair, playing FE6 isn't the most productive thing to begin with.
@@thesiaoz guess what? Like 1 week ago i completed FE6 with the true ending in the good version(if roy defeats idounn with the sword of seals) and i didn't lose anyone. Obviously i used the save/load state and the arena, but i'm still happy because sword of seals is my favourite FE game and it was my first time getting the true ending.

I'd like arena more if you didnt die if you lost. I basically stayed clear of it in every playthrough unless I used save states cuz it never felt worth it. And using save states showed me how right I was not to trust how unlucky you get in it
I love it when they lose because instead of helping them after the guy who takes the bets is just like “wow, you’re shit” and watched them die. It’s a funny visual at least.

Crits never come out at the right time for me. When it could have saved me, even at around 30 it doesn't come out. But when enemy has just a sliver of health left and would have died anyway, out it comes aggresively
the states are so broken in ff6. lose so many fights because i cant hit with 90%. ff 7 is hundred times better. because the states are really there states.

I have hope for the remakes, i just hope they give it the same treatment as echoes, if they can do that then these remakes might be the only games surpassing radient dawn and and path of radience which are arguably the best games. If they can replicate the battle animations in 3d that would be sick, not to mention that during the creation of three houses, its well known that they didn't use enough resources with three houses and reused alot of maps and ported alot of resources and money towards other things which might be the remake of this game. I just hope they don't end up adding dlc and that they make the games pack with a ton of content and content that is original to the remakes, things we never knew we wanted until its evantual release

You ever spend 2 to 3 hours at the arena leveling and using stronger units to keep your money up. And when your just about ready to call it quits after 2 or 3 more, you get your opponent and he throws his axe in the air and your heart stops
