"Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day!"

Hey, if anyone is going through this just know that you can beat it. Put that in your mind. I know it’s easier said than done, but once you get in control of your life and start living and not focusing on the symptoms that anxiety brings, those symptoms will go away eventually. I’m not 100% over it, but I can feel the fight within myself to beat this and not let it control my life. I’ve been dealing with it for months now and at first I didn’t do anything about it. I would just pray and sleep, but you gotta have faith the size of mustard seed. Start off one week walking for 30 mins. Make you a playlist and just walk. You don’t have to rush yourself. I just hope everyone who is going through this gets better.

I been on it for 10months, had an unfortunate argument where after like 10mins I felt the worst pain in my left chest area, I remember I couldn’t breathe for like 5seconds. 4-5 months later a loved one passed away, that night I had a panic attack, and all the chest pains, burning sensations in my chest came like a rocket. It was the scariest thing of my life, I was afraid of everything. If I saw crows or eagles I thought I was going to die at that moment, and it was difficult to breathe. I still get chest pains, burning sensation, but I am much better. Say no to caffeine and alcohol. Best wishes to everyone, keep fighting.

What did you repent from, just overall sin and the old lifestyle, or was it like beleiveing the lies of the enemy, or stopping a specific addiction, or did you cut off friends that were no good? It seams that when I get closer to God my anxiety increases. I read my Bible, worship and try to do my best. I know satan doesn't like when we are doing what God wants us to do, so he'll attack stronger, but the constant attacks are becoming overwhelming and I'm just wondering how you found rest in God, like specifically, well and my first question I guess.

There is nothing to beat here.
You have to fix some problems in your life. The core of anxiety is fear in multiple forms. Some is subtile fear that you cannot always sense. You can't beat fear it will grow worse. Just decrease it by resolving things and to became in a position to deal with it.

Cindy, To feel better reduce negative thoughts with a simple practice. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives good relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Do the practice without any expectations. When taking a walk, at office, in school, when reading, before sleep etc observe your breath sensations. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Best wishes and prayers. Senior Counsellor.

Avoid caffeine but cut back slowly, week by week. Going cold turkey will cause withdrawal symptoms you don’t want to go through. Yes, you will be able to function without it as your body becomes accustomed but your anxiety will definitely decrease. Same goes for alcohol. Too much on a regular basis makes you feel like crap the next day, not feeling your best, which may cause you to crave those two glasses of wine when you get home from work. A viscous cycle. I’m not a doctor but these tips have helped me a lot and hopefully they will help you. Remember, you are not alone and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Getting help is a sign of strength and intelligence.

Dear Dr. Richardson. I love your videos because they are so kind and professional at the same time. For me it is nothing like "usual stressors". It's trauma + high stake anxiety, i call it rather panic, is there 24/7. Without any triggers (obvious triggers). So nothing on your list is even slightly helping my for that. BUT in general these are all things everyone should incorporate in their lives in this way or a variation of it. So when I feel normal I love meditating for example but now it makes me miserable. I am to froozen to even leave the house anymore, all my ideas to ditract myself from the panic are not working at all. Its not an irrational fear like the ones you described and also it is not called by any work or time related stressors. Its all internal, and my nervous system is f*** after the opiod withdrawl. Thank you for this list anyway because I do as much as i can of it as long as i still can and don't get into the complete shut down state (intrestingly still without depression (i know depression very well but its not there this time, at all.) I love the idea with nature videos and posters, pictures etc! That was a creative idea and since "the usual" doenst work for this case I go for that creative idea right away!

Truthfully speaking, The instant cure for anxiety is to understand the fact that there are infinite amount of possible outcomes in this universe and our brain only thinks of a handful . A bad outcome can become the means of a good outcome in the future. Just like that a good outcome can become the means of a bad outcome. For example, you lost your job (bad thing). But then you got a new job which is better ( bad thing led to a good outcome.) It's an endless cycle. So just go with the flow and don't think about it . 😄 Goodluck.

This is so helpful! Thank you so much! I will try these things! I've noticed recently my heart rate has been increasing, and I have felt weak and had wobbly legs at times, and I can see why...I do meditation and exercise/do yoga and go outside but not as frequently and consistently as I should be doing, and this video just reminded me to do that so I'm very grateful! I've also realised that my sleeping patterns are affecting this as I don't sleep at early times, even though I should be, which undoubtedly will affect my hormones, plus my room is quite messy right now - I reckon a thorough clean will alleviate these symptoms and create a much more clear and spacious environment where i can incorporate mindfulness meditations and adding plants, scents etc to my room; thank you again for this video! Extremely helpful and reassuring! Very grateful! ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

Some of my tricks & tips~ simply sucking on a hard candy or a cough drop will take you out of the fight and flight freeze mode because your body gets a signal from the saliva in your mouth that it is time to eat. Back in Neanderthal days if you were sitting down to eat you are not in danger, makes perfect sense and yes so simple. Another is shifting your eyes to the left and to the right hold him in there for a bout 30 seconds each. Keep your head straight ahead but just shift your eyes to the left hold it there for about 30 seconds and then to the right this also send a message to your brain that you are safe breathing sounds too simple, but AGAIN... doing specific breathing exercises sends message to brain to CHILL....( all these tips are from a Brain Neurologist her on you tube) exercise WILL Change your LIFE & BRAIN.....

I know how painful it is to have anxiety. I used to have a hard time with it. I tried to meditate, breathing in and out, trying to calm my mind. and try to find something that keeps you from thinking about your worries especially listening to the sounds of the atmosphere It will help the brain focus on the sound. So I try to remember what kind of sound I like and which one helps me. Until I started making videos like this myself in hopes of helping others. Please open your mind and listen.

Saeed Sobhani, Develop your mental muscles by reprogramming the mind [brain]. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing anxiety-stress. For a relaxed life without anxiety-stress sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath and body sensations for around 10-15 minutes. Be as still as possible. Avoid moving too much. Many thoughts will come which is ok--slowly negative thoughts will reduce and your mind will relax with no desire for pills. Mind[brain] are reprogrammed. Best part is mood swings also reduce after daily meditation. Avoid watching negative shows on mobile-tv --Watch comedies.. Do the above meditation daily twice without any doubts and enjoy life without medication. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor-Teacher.

My friend, the core of anxiety is fear. Some is subtile fear.
Once you expose it will start decreasing. But the causes can be out in your life. Try to fix the causes little by little.

The core of anxiety is fear.
When you experience fear can you meditate? If a bear charge you can you meditate?
      Don't fool those people.
Anxiety decrease when there is no reasons for fear. And that can be things out in your life like worries and many things.
Meditating is only losing time and getting the situation worse.
Those people need a better life hope they can achieve that and have that much needed space to feel safe and let anxiety fade by itself gradually because there is no reason for it.

I have dealt with panic attacks for a long time. But i dont have it anymore. For me breathing techniques while having it wasn't very helpful, but it might be for u. I was diagnosed with GAD. So what i did is, its gonna sound weird:
1 _ loved it. Whenever i start having this feeling i welcome it and make my self feel like finally ur back
2 _ you have to know that is not dangerous at all.
3 _ stop fighting it. Whenever u fight it it will keep coming back. It's as if u are standing on the beach and ur pushing every wave that comes, at some point it you will get tired, what u have to do is just to let the wave push u to the shore.
4- read a book called :Zero Limits: The Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace and More
      Book by Haleakalā Hew Len
It will not just help you with ur panic attacks it will change ur perspective with dealing with everything in life

Mantra-type meditation , if done regularly, is an amazing anti-anxiety practice. There are other types of meditation as well but personally I like to go with the mantra type. You can basically just use any sound as your “mantra” during a mantra-type meditation. Like Sanskrit ( I think they’re Sanskrit anyway) sounds like “Om” or “So Hum” or ANY sound you wish in fact. Just pick a sound. Sit somewhere in a relaxed upright position, you don’t have to sit in a semi lotus lotus (legs crossed) position …you can just sit on the couch or a chair or in your car seat, whatever. I actually even do it lying down in the morning quite often because I wake up with incredible mind bending anxiety and I can’t even get out of bed until I do some meditation. And it works.
So just sit (or lay) there. Close your eyes. Begin repeating your chosen sound (“mantra”) to yourself silently. In your head. Not too fast. Leisurely. Anytime a distracting thought comes into your mind while you’re doing this, you just let the interrupting thought go by like a cloud passing by in the sky, you try not to get stuck on it, you don’t hold onto it, but you silently go back to whichever sound you have chosen for your mantra. And just keep doing that. Soon you will notice that you have less interrupting thoughts and your mind goes to a more quiet and still place. The mental chatter which actually causes most of your anxiety will start to dissipate. (The Buddhists called us mental chatter the “monkey mind”.) You will begin to experience what is actually a state of pure “being” rather than an anxiety-provoking state of mental chatter and awareness of self and ego.And that’s when the magic begins. That’s when the anxiety melts away. It’s not just a cliché… if you do this regularly you can actually experience states of “bliss”. Yeah it sounds like a cliché but it can happen believe me. Anyway, practice this every day for at least 15-20 minutes at a time to start with, preferably twice a day such as morning and evening (or whenever you please), and try to increase your time with it. Try to work your way up to an a half hour at a time, then 45 minutes, perhaps an hour twice a day and you will be amazed at what happens. Just do as much as you can regardless of the length of time. It will help you even 15 minutes twice a day. It gets easier. You will look forward to the times when you do it. Turn your phone off or whatever so you won’t get interrupted. It’s your time. It’s a cumulative practice and the more you do it, even if for brief periods of time, the more benefits you’ll get from it and the better you will get at it, and the deeper more quickly you will be able to go into it. I have had some incredible meditative states. A few of them were pretty much life-changing. It’s an amazing practice. I took the ‘official’ Transcendental Meditation course when I was in high school many many decades ago and was lucky because it was only $75 then. Now it’s over $1000. Which is criminal if you ask me. Because this is a type of meditation that could help so many people and basically put the pharmaceutical industry with its neurotoxic anti-anxiety etc. drugs out of business. Again, it’s basically a technique you can just teach yourself using any sound you wish as a “mantra”.I’m guessing if you Google mantra meditation technique there will be either descriptions of how to do it and it’s not complicated at all it just requires practice, and/or TH-cam tutorials about it. Mantra meditation is not the only type of meditation but it’s the one that I prefer. It’s the one I always go back to. Breathing techniques are also helpful and you can incorporate the breath into a mantra meditation. Peace, people. Try it.
