A proven way to reduce anxiety is to eat only whole foods AND keep insulin under control. So,
      DON'T eat:
      - anything out of a box, no frozen dinners, etc.
      - refined grains (like cereal, bread, pasta, etc) because this converts in your body to "sugar". That's oversimplified, but too much to explain here)
      - sugar, honey, agave, or other sweeteners. If you feel you "need" them, you will want to slowly reduce and eliminate them for a period of time, until your anxiety lessens,. No cookies, cakes, pies, doughnuts, etc.
      DO eat:
      - protein (if you eat animals, then meat, fish, poultry, etc; if you don't eat meat, you can do that, but I don't know how)
      - whole vegetables
      - a small amount of fruit (like, 1 cup berries or one apple, half an orange, etc)
      - lots of water and mineral water (no sodas, energy drinks, etc)
      - healthy fats, such as coconut oil, organic butter, olive oil, ghee, etc.
Check out Jason Fung, Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Stenberg and others on TH-cam. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

Positive thoughts are only at the conscious level, but depression emanates from the subconscious, so simply doing gratitude exercises or positive thinking won’t change that. Instead of trying to escape from depression and those thoughts, have you ever tried just observing them and seeing where it goes, what happens? One can do an amazing amount of internal exploration by just allowing the flow to take place. It’s like following a stream into a dark mountain cave. Let it carry you, and just observe. I know it’s hard, because depression itself is the will to not be like this. But if we can let go of will, and try to learn, observe, then we might notice a change coming.

LSD and mushrooms completely changed my whole outlook on life . I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body . A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken . One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot . It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine , this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip : Everything is alright . The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me ( although it's not gone ) . Before all I could do was lay in bed . Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before . "

Great video, all really helpful points. One point I’d add is that no.6 - surround yourself with good people and don’t isolate yourself - can be a double edged sword. Oftentimes loneliness is a big part of depression. The inability to relate and connect naturally with other people can make human interactions - even with really good, nice people - some of the worst times for a depressed person. In many ways, depression itself is a problem of our relationship to the human world. We don’t get depressed by pets, trees, or the clouds in the sky. I also believe that in the end, looking inside oneself and coming to deeper self understanding is the only way to truly bring depression to an end. I actually believe depression is just like the pain of physical trauma, it indicates something is wrong. When we cut ourselves and it hurts, we don’t ask ‘why me?’, we just accept that physical trauma causes nerve pain. But i don’t we accept that depression is a kind of pain caused by psychological trauma. Without understanding the basis of that trauma, we cannot avoid further trauma nor aid the natural healing that is always available.

Depression is beating yourself up because you are tired. And it's also connected to the past.
Anxiety is a rush of energy used to run from a dangerous situation. And it's connected to the imagination of the future.
Just get some rest and feel your body everytime you have an unpleasant sensation. Never neglect your emotions. Everything most be felt and flow naturally.
Everytime you feel insecure about yourself,
Get back to the present moment, return to your 5 senses and focus your mind in to the task at hand.
Reaffirm every action you take in this present moment untill you start to rewrite your old programs that made you feel out of sync with who you really are.
You can only be fully secure in this moment now.
You are the space of awareness behind the thinking mind.
Repeat , repeat , repeat this, until the depression an anxiety is gone. God bless 💖
Note: suffered depression & anxiety for a couple of years. This worked like magic.

This is such an important video highlighting the importance of discussing mental health and overcoming the stigma associated with depression and anxiety. For those who may be struggling, it's essential to know that there are resources and support available. You may want to check out @Dr.healingstrain, a mycologist who uses mushrooms to help people overcome depression and anxiety. They provide valuable information and support for those dealing with mental health challenges, and their work is worth exploring.

Walking, stretching & yoga are all good for me, and I don’t hate any of them. But for some reason, I can’t make myself “just do it.” I’ve even tried indoor workouts with YT videos. It takes tremendous mental effort just to start. My pattern is to stick with it for a few days, all proud of myself, then just thinking about it
      makes me feel exhausted. 😞

2021 was the hardest, darkest time of my life. I was physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually BROKEN. But now I feel genuinely GRATEFUL and BLESSED that I had to go through that phase because GOD has graciously REVEALED Himself to me in miraculous ways. I am fortunate that He allowed me to know Him at a very young age, but this year is SPECIAL because of what WE (yes, GOD and me) have been through last year. He showed me how POWERFUL prayers truly are when I started to focus on WHO HE IS rather than who I am, on WHAT HE CAN DO rather than what I deserve. The experience was MAGICAL. He showed up BIG TIME and assured me that HE is indeed a LISTENING and RESPONDING GOD. Oh how my faith has skyrocketed as a result! Now more than ever, I have very bright HOPE for my future because I personally experienced how RELIABLE God is. And for that I will forever be grateful. GLORY BE TO GOD, MY EVER FAITHFUL FATHER. ♥️♥️♥️
To everyone who's struggling right now, please know that GOD LOVES YOU. He wants to help you and give you peace. Please surrender your burdens to Him and allow Him to move in your life.
"Because he loves Me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My Name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." (Psalm 91:14-15)
Please hold on to this bible verse because WHATEVER GOD SAYS, HE FULFILLS. 🛐

We indeed need God! It's vital to understand his message and commands to us all. He doesn't just give us feel better stuff. We don't add him like an ingredient. We obey him .Matthew Luke and John explain the gospel of Jesus to us and how we repent, be baptized, and ask for the Holyghost. He has promised to hear and recieve all who obey him from the heart .Don't follow people who don't obey the scripture ( but say they do) because they'll mislead and discourage you.Take care!

I went ahead and registered on one of the volunteer sites per your suggestion and my mood already started to lift as it was replaced by the excitement of starting something meaningful. My depression waxes and wains and tends to be situational. I've done pretty well after cleansing previous anti-depressants from my system 4 years ago and after increasing exercise and improving my diet. But recently those horrible feelings have returned and I want to beat them naturally.

I don’t mean to comment on this video specifically, but wanted to drop in to say how impressed I am with this channel; not only are the videos informative and empathetic, I cannot believe you take as much time as you do to answer the comments. I hope this generosity isn’t taken for granted, as I suspect this channel will soon “blow up” , as they say, and commenting on everything will be impossible - so I do hope people only ask questions when they are truly desperate, so that perhaps you’ll still be able to check in and offer some perspective when/if needed. Congratulations on your channel and I will be a frequent viewer and avid supporter of your work.

Surround with good people ? Who are good people? How to judge people. Why would they be around you when you feel so negative that they feel its harming them ? What if they don't understand your problem and are distancing themselves with you ? How to be good to them while you are struggling to deal with yourself ? How ? Are these things too easy to do and I am unable to do that ? To make yourself mentally strong, the solution is that you will have to be mentally strong ? I respect all that you told. And i am improving my diet, exercising and sleeping more I guess. But i still feel that people dont want to be around me.
I feel negative so often that i feel ashamed . Its been so long they dont want to listen to my problem which they consider too small to be thinking about. Even I feel they are too small , but i cannot not overthink, i just cannot divert my mind. I just feel i should sleep all the time and not be a part of thinking.

Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts and anxiety For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10-15 minutes or more. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. Deep inhalation is not needed. Whenever you are free during the day or night before sleep sit or lie down still before sleep and observe your breath. Being still reduces negative thoughts. There is an epidemic of loneliness which I am convinced is a primer emotion in the development of depression. In addition to all of his suggestions, I would add improving one’s communication skills especially to become a better listener. Amazing, serving others by being quiet in order to help them!

Nice video. Reach a state of equanimity where nothing disturbs you. For a relaxed life without anxiety sit on a chair, back and spine as erect as possible, hands on your lap with palms upwards, close your eyes and do nothing. Be still without moving and observe your incoming--outgoing breath and body sensations for around 10-20 minutes. Be as still as possible. Plenty of thoughts will come but slowly negative thoughts will reduce. The mind is reprogrammed to reach equanimity. Do twice daily as per your convenience. Practice not over-reacting to any situation in real life and focus on your breathing at times during your normal daily activity. Enjoy the above meditation without expectations and your life will transform. Make it a daily habit. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

The more videos I watch on depression the more I realise I need to get through this myself, hopefully I can force myself to excersize and that will be enough

Anxiety is a serious thing, it leads catastrophising thoughts, persistent negative thoughts that are self sabotaging.
