Wow! You built it perfectly! That paint shined like the real cars! I remember the fit and finish was impeccable as was the paint. Nissan perfected the 300's
Don't get me wrong, the car is gorgeous but I really wanted to see the smashed car come back to life. Using an entire donor car kinda makes it not as special.

Absolutely. What was the point of stripping the smashed body just to toss it aside? Shoulda just started the video with the donor body.

I owned a 280z back in the late 80's to early 90's it was the same color you painted this model however the hood was blue with 3 black strips down the middle of the hood one wide in the middle and 1 narrower strip down each side of the wider one.....I was custom 280z from the 1st. owner it could top out at nearly 180 mph....My oldest brother had a 240z it was orange with the same black strips.......

This model of the real car was from '83-89, the original of this Matchbox looks to be the 1984 Anniversary Edition, that was a limited edition with only around 5000 produced. Awesome video though, love seeing cool "bring it back to life" vids!
Great custom, but I would prefer the bonnet in blue.
Another of my fav's when it came out. I was on vacation with my mom, I was bored and a pain, until she saw this and bought it for me. I was an angel the rest of the trip. Love this car, she has it on her dresser now ;}

Hi Danny ...i always love your projects,but the first thing i thought of was the bonnet to be blue or black.
the aftermarket wheels are AWESOME!!!!
And the blue you used for the car is absolutely amazing.
Also love the silver grey underside of the car.

looks like the previous owner took it to dad's garage workbench and tried to destroy dad's hammer with it... and added a hole with the driller for measurement.
the colour looks good, the blue is really shining. :) can't wait to see what you do with the abused shell. ^^

Great work as always, but I think I speak for a lot of us when I say I hope we get to see you use that bent body in a later video, even if it's just in the background of a junkyard diorama

You could always use the crushed body in one of your dioramas.... A monster truck diorama comes to mind....
Same with the damaged interior...

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME , JUST SOME FRIENDLY OBSERVATIONS IT COULD USE SOME LOWERING AND THE WHEELS NEED TO BE PLACED A LITTLE BIT MORE TO THE OUTER SIDES OF THE CAR . LOVE THE PAINT WORK THAT WAS SPOT ON THANKS AGAIN AND LOOKING FORWARD TO MANY MORE OF YOUR WORK !

Love the paint but the bonnet / hood could have been a brown / black color to appear more like a carbon fiber material.

Beautiful job although the casting has a flaw on the back where the taillights are, the red is supposed to be where the Nissan and 300zx badges are, and the bottom part are the orenge a white. But the rest is absolutely beautiful. Keep up the good work
A great job on that custom, you made the best of what you had as far as merging two castings to make one good one.

Great job but the only original parts were the base and the bonnet. So the original car became the donor.
