Why did my PCV valve fail on my Kia Sorento?

The PCV valve failed on my Kia Sorento after 10 years and 100k miles and the engine began consuming the oil. The spring will get weak and not keep the valve centered. If you are not sure if yours is bad just replace it because they are cheap.
