I took my coupler to a machine shop they made 2 for free for me. Mine was broke, going to put it all back together using the old motor before installing a new one have one on its way. If I need it I’ll redo the job with the new motor but not looking to spend 315 for it if I don’t need it. Plus had my intake replaced from Kia 3 years, that coupler didn’t last long hope the metal one will

My 23 pilot just did the same thing 6 days ago. The first error was a torque management calculation error and then every other error message came up. Just before I took it to the dealership, I was getting transmission errors where it would shift into neutral while driving and then into park and shut off once the vehicle came to a stop. It’s still at the dealership.

High strength zip ties work really good as filler and binder when repairing plastic. As you melt the plastic add the zip tie just like tig welding

What socket do you use for the fill plug? The 24mm I have is too long to fit in there with a wrench or extension attached

So glad you finally get'r back. Ever figure out the vibration? I have a new pilot as well and there's this weird resonance/vibration that occurs while driving. I've noticed one of the shields under the car is very flexible and am wondering if that's it as wind baffles it and bumps, etc.

I also felt that vibration on the gas pedal when I try to press my foot on. I got a 2024 Honda pilot exl. I just let it be. What is annoying in my pilot is the noise like a road noise that is coming from the passenger side window. At times it’s there at times it’s not there. Any way your posting helps a lot.

Great video! I watched a few times before deciding to do it myself. Kia Dealership wanted $900 + tax for the new intake manifold but I found it online from Kia Parts Direct for $600. No telling how much my local Kia Dealership would have charged on top of the material cost for LABOR!! I ordered the intake manifold, it arrived in a few days and I started removing the old one. Sure enough, the part that broke was the piece you showed at 4:00 min into your video... cheap plastic. But I just went ahead and replaced the entire unit. Engine runs smoother and sounds great now! Thanks for posting this video! Great job!!

Man- I think you should stop driving when the dash lights on to avoid further damages to the engine.

Things happen and I don't doubt the OP, but remember that the small percentage of people who unfortunately experience issues get the loudest voice on social media. Many more thousands of people are happily driving their new gen Pilots without any problems and not taking time out of their day to post about that. As for VCM, I do have some concerns but we never had a single issue on our 2015 Pilot that we traded in at 130K for the new '24 model. No oil consumption or failed engine mounts as was wildly warned about on the interwebs. I'd prefer no VCM system, but on the other hand I'm not losing any sleep over it either.

Do you ever have any issues with the infotainment system crashing when you’re driving? I have the same pilot it’s just that when I drive through some areas it seems to affect the wireless Apple CarPlay and it just shuts the screen off to reset itself
