Thank you. I now was able to fix this issue by myself. In the workshop they told me it's only maintainable on the break itself. I didn't believe them 100%. So I searched and I found this video 😃👍
Just had to do discs, pads, and shoes on my 02 V70 and ended up consulted your excellent videos on a number of occasions. Great work! Now, any chance of a video on how to deal with a rounded head (T40) on a caliper slider bolt?!? Got to the final corner and that happened 🤬😭
You are correct. There is not that nice rectangular trim piece that is easy to remove on '05 and later. I need to do this job for the 2nd time, and came here because I can't remember how to get to that nut. I need to look further now. My memory is that a much larger piece of trim of the console must be removed. Too often these how-to videos do not cover all the models that they claim to. The underlying concept (adjusting nut) may be the same, but we have to get to it to turn it!

I broke the adjustem bolt , can i buy one here ?
Better inspect your parking brake shoes on those volvos, its very common that they break into pieces. Not to welcome at some speeds.
Parking brake shoes? Are these on rear wheel?
@@PJL7095 yep
that is a cable adjustment not a parkbrake adjustment
Thanks for this!

What happens when its max tightened and it still does not work?
+Meowdy Partner Then it might need to be replaced.
@@1AAuto Specifically I believe you mean the shoes. There is a possibility I suppose the cables could be an issue - stretched or otherwise defective.
It’s not built the same on 05 and up 😔

👍👏👏👏
You adjust the wire not the brake ? Very bad job !!!
Unless you buy the non-OEM adjusting shoe spacer, this is the only way to adjust the parking brake shoes.
