Great decision on not using clear coat on your wheels! I always like them bare aluminum where they can be cleaned and polished. Great job and great video! Thanks for sharing!

Yes. Never cared for the clear coating on wheels. It gets dull after a while and you are unable to polish the metal.

Hi there.... Awesome expanation!... BTW where did you get your steel valve stems? Did you buy them separately or did they install them when you got your wheels mounted?

I bought mine at the local auto parts store a few years ago and I think the chrome caps were included. The sleeves are chromed plastic.

I was thinking that a plastic sour cream, cottage cheese, or ice cream container would be handy as a paint barrier. Just cut the top and bottom edges off and slit it lengthwise to open it up.

How did you get the center of the rims black like that, ive looked everywhere to find rims like yours with the black on them, any ideas on how to aquire those?

I bought original Kelsey Hayes C3 Corvette rims and polished and painted the centers.
