Guerlain is what creed wishes it could be. Habit rouge is a very elegant classic! Thierry Wasser has done a great job!

The EDT/ the original was created by Jean Paul Guerlain and the EDP, dress code, l'eau these were reformulated/created by Thierry Wasser.
The EDP is more "heavy" and has a denser feel/smell while the EDT smells "lighter".
Surprisingly the EDT performs better on me projection wise, however both last almost the same time.
It's a timeless classic, it sometimes reminds me a little of Shalimar but maybe that's because of the vanilla in the base.

The first time i smelled it i didnt get it...second time it was like hmm interesting classic smell, 3rd time OMG am in LOVE!!

All Guerlain fragrances are great.I own almost all of them from de designer line and Habit Rouge is one of the best.L'Eau Boisee is great, Homme also, Heritage, L'Instant is amazing and also Habit Rouge l'Eau.
I recommend also the Aqua Allegoria line-up, especially Aqua Allegoria Limon Verde if you love fig.

Wait until you try Heritage EDT. It is even more complex, and it will blow you away.
Then you will conclude that Guerlain is without question the best affordable niche house of all.

I hated Habit rouge at first, it reminded me of grandma rose,,, I almost gave up on it then one evening everything changed. I love every aspect of it, it’s is comforting and gorgeous. It’s decadence from a lost era. A masterpiece
EDT lasts longer than EDP on my skin. Both are absolutely beautiful but I prefer the EDT, though it is more difficult to appreciate (also more complex). Habit Rouge is one of the best fragrances ever made. Nothing in Guerlain's more expensive lines can come close to it. Heritage (particularly the EDT) is just as good, IMO, though quite different.
I love Habit Rouge. Hated it at first. It literally took me about 1/4 of a bottle of edt to appreciate it. After that it has been game on. I now own the EDP and L'eau. All are heavenly.

I was surprised by this one. I heard it was hard to wear or not for everyone and smelling this one, the EDP and EDT, amazing juice! Really well done.
Habit Rouge - both EDT and EDP - is an absolutely gorgeous and sophisticated fragrance and I LOVE it.

@Mr. E.W I'd get both the Guerlain tbf. Nothing against TF but these are just amazing frags for the money. I have the Vetiver Extreme rather than the Vetiver but both of these where blind buys and I've not regretted it once..

Stuart george totally agree. I have the edp also. It has a slight civet opening but the dry down makes it a masterpiece also. Sometimes I do 2 sprays of the edt and one of the edp. By the time I get work I smell great 👍

Hi Joy da, was waiting when you are going to love this beauty (after seeing you falling in love with Vetiver) .....
Just one thing I use to get beautiful dry leather along with vanilla - woods in the base of course rose is present through out .....
I later Habit Rouge edt with Ombré Leather.....try it!.....it’s unreal!!!

Joy, I can personally vouch for his inner great character.. In the past, I too was not happy about his attitude, but, HE will be the first to tell you of his change in outlook. I don’t want to speak for him, but , I’m pretty sure about my intuition. Everyone appreciates everyone in the end, with a little effort.

Habit Rouge is tricky. I love to wear EdT on cooler days, EdP on warmer days. :) but yeah this line is very challenging for modern noses, have to wear them a lot to love them. I bought a vintage EdP from 2003 bcs i looooove it :)

Guerlain vetiver edt or guerlain habit rouge edt?
I rate them as about the same, both fantastic, but it's a bit like asking: what's better, champagne or ice cream? Habit Rouge strikes me as more flamboyant, but that might just be because I heard Keith Richards wears it, and the box is red.
Obviously HR is a good classic fragrance but I really think it's a try before you buy for today's tastes as it's quite retro smelling IMO. However even so I find that after a couple of hours it becomes less harsh and old school, becoming a smoother, elegant and warm scent. Not really quite my thing but I respect it a great deal.

Apparently it smells like total Sh*t by a certain fragrance reviewer. Some better than others, but no Guerlain fragrance has disappointed, I love the house. LIDGE is still one my all time favorites, only sniffing the bottle now as it is discontinued 😜and spray the reformulated ones.
