Yes! Being that I work from an office 5 days a week, and Guerlain absolutely KILLS IT with classy and somewhat old school scents that are great for the office, they're my favorite house.
My top 5 Guerlain fragrances that I've owned or tried:
1. Heritage EDT
2. L'Instant de Guerlain EDP
3. Habit Rouge EDT
4. Vetiver EDT
5. Homme EDP
Bois Mystérieux is such a masterpiece, it really fits my idea of « perfumery » as an art. But as you said, it’s really hard to wear. I spray it for myself to take a walk in autumn, it brings me in a very special atmosphere.
Habit Rouge Parfum is also great! I wanted to complete my L’Homme Ideal line and move forward, but man… that fragrance is out of this world! Must try, must buy! 😅
Yeah, man, that smell is like from heaven... im already on my 2nd bottle since July and I can't stop loving it day after day
I am 74 yr old Sis and I remember wearing Habit Rouge in the 70's becuz I was different like that. I made it unisex whether it was supposed to be or not.
Because of this video I got Guerlain Vetiver and my goodness it’s really nice. It reminds me of what early mornings smelt like at my Abuelos ranch on the Sierra Nevada foothills. Its poetic.

Last year I bought linstant lhomme edt and I love it. And this week I found (and bought) a 50ml bottle of lhomme ideal lintense (black bottle) ❤
Guerlain is so classy, I have the original Vetiver and it’s grown on me a lot. Hopefully I’ll have another Guerlain one day.

The only Guerlain I own is the discontinued "L'homme Ideal Cologne". . .such a beautiful scent with that slight creamy almond combined with the freshness. It's a shame it got discontinued.

Thank you Justin for another informative & entertaining review on the house of Guerlain. I have the Ideal cologne which I found for a bargain $35 Australian dollars. I am still kicking myself for not buying the 150ml bottle of Ideal edt while I was in Sydney.
Great selections! I just wore Ideal Cologne yesterday, so perfect for warm weather. I have an earlier bottle version of L'Instant de Guerlain EDT and although the performance isn't great, I can actually smell it for about an hour and a half (I love it). As far as Habit Rouge, I have the EDP but don't care for it, you're right, it wears you rather than the other way around. However I have vintage Habit Rouge EDT (and a couple of back ups) and it's amazing. The civet adds just a touch of skank to the blend and it's one of my must have forever scents. I'm now curious about Ideal L'intense, I have the EDP and love that cherry note. Guerlain's one of my favorites, thanks for the ranking!

I just emptied my yearly loved L'Instant Eau Extreme. Nowhere to be found. Was one of the best gourmand ever and insane compliment getter.
I found one week before two bottles of heritage from 1992 in my father's stuff , it's wonderful,👍

Great list. Some I have, and some have been on my radar. Like the Habit Rouge (cant decide which flanker) I was interested in the Dress Code (discontinued) 😢 and the Ideal Cologne that missed out on.

Great reviews. I adore Habit Rouge but laughed out loud when you said "it wears you" coz you are so right! My #1 is the same as yours. I keep a bottle by the bed. If you get a chance try Guerlain Homme L'Eau Boise, just out of curiosity. It's unique.

I'm not super big on freshies, but I'm coming around, but that Homme EDP has become a nice easy reach for me, the same kind of ways I'd wear MB Explorer. I definitely need to get my nose on L'Homme Ideal Extreme, and thanks to you, I'm with you on your number 1. I absolutely love L'Intense (and I've decided to wear it today). Love the video. Highest respect for this house. Habit Rouge the original is great, love the carnation. Vetiver is good. I love the Les Absolut D'orient series, mostly I love Ambre Eternel (discontinued), Patchuli Ardent, Santal Royal, Bois Mysterieux, Cuir Intense and Epice Exquises. Bois Mysterieux (to me) has the same vibe as Ebene Fume and Bois Marocain, so a bit redundant, but my eye is on Cuir. Thanks to you Justin, I love L'homme ideal Intense, and it is a must have in my collection now. I might get the Extreme as I also liked it. Never smelled the cologne. Their ladies perfume Shalimar Parfum (OG - 1925) is one of the legendary scents of all times. Its been there for nearly 100 years, I first smelled it in the 1970's. A true classy scent worthy of grand dames and royalty. However I got a bottle of L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme back in 2007 and I didn't care for it because of the very reason you talked about. Need to spray every 10 minutes to keep smelling it. I gave it back and it kinda kept me away from the house for a while.
Inspired by your videos, I got Tom Ford Ebene Fume and I was amazed by how good it it. Loved it through and through 😍

I personally like Vetiver Extreme above the OG. Slightly creamier and an easier everyday wear. Not to mention that hardly anyone talks about it or wears it. 👍👍

Was hoping Homme would be on your list as it’s one of those where you can just pull it out in most scenarios for a safe bet. I’m still experimenting and getting decants on some of these but Homme was an instant buy.
Great list. I love the house of Guerlain. One of my fragrance regrets is not getting L’Instant de Guerlain Eau Extreme back in the day in the original packaging. Currently own and love L’Homme Ideal EDT and Cologne. Also love Intense and recently tried the 3 new Parfums and all were stand outs. Especially Habit Rouge Parfum… gotta sample that again and potentially add a 3rd Guerlain to the collection
Interesting to hear your thoughts about the lineup. My number one would be L’Instant EdP (much better than the EdT), 2nd is Héritage EdT (vintage with the gold cap) and 3rd L'Homme Idéal Extrême (I should try your number one recommendation). My lowest on the list (of 12 tested) is Coriolan, for the same reason as your lowest on the list. Thanks and plz ignore the “you’re wrong” comments. Hard to argue with people that did not listen to begin with 😉
Guerlain Vetiver to me is the timeless classic scent for the mature man. It's a proven product that I can rely upon as the years move on.....

L'Homme Ideal Cologne is the only Guerlain I currently own but I still love it. Bought mine around 2017-18 and my bottles at the halfway point. Didn't know it was discontinued till a few months ago (bought the Dua clone as a backup in case I was unable to track down another bottle of the original and it's near identical).
My favorite from Guerlain is habit rouge rouge privé and the new release habit rouge le parfum. Anyway it is such a good house !
Justin. Looks like Heritage EDT is discontinued. Can't find it on the website, and prices are climbing. Love this scent btw. Fougere with patchouli.
Heritage is not discontinued, in France you can currently find it everywhere.
These are all great, but where’s Waldo? Joking aside, I ordered the ideal edt, I have a decant and it just checks many boxes for me.

L'homme ideal edt is the best for me. cooler months this just smells WOW. the EDT is the best one and last 8 hours with 2 sprays to the neck. if u want it to last longer one spray on the shirt will easly ad another 6 hours

Hello Justin. Im new to fragrance but interested in Guerlain. I searched and found your channel and this video. I also just subscribed. Im leaning towards two of their lines, Homme and L'Homme ideal but I see they also have L'Instant Homme. Their use of the L' is confusing me so maybe you can explain or do a video on the lines. Your vetiver bottle is different than what i got, mine is chrome cap and darker juice, i hope they didn't reformulate it, interesting personal list and video, i never tried their winter fragrances might test them

@@stayfreshproductions when it comes to fragrances I'm sometimes worried about reformulation or suddenly a fragrance gets discontinued, Versace man edt (purple bottle) suddenly got discontinued and that was one of my favorites, I'm still holding on to the original 2002 ysl m7 on my last backup bottle, but i guess it's time to explore again, anyways after my poor judgment and comment one of your shorts I started exploring your videos, i appreciate you focusing on your personal taste rather what the majority of audience might like or dislike, at the end fragrances are personal, keep it up sir

Last year's Habit Rouge Rouge Privé blew my mind. My nr.1 Guerlain by far, but it's already dissappearing from the shops.
I only tried a decant of l'homme ideal extreme from the house. I liked it and put on my wish list. But I wasn't sure if I should get it before trying intense and EDP first.
I first wore Vetiver Guerlain in the Early 90’s yep 👍🏾 I’m a young older man 😂

Which one should I go for if they are similarly priced?
Guerlain- 70 eur , nishane 80 eur (50ml extrait).
I can’t find a good comparative description and I can’t sample these sadly :(

Habit rouge is linstict different? Oh I just saw you commented on this. My wife loves it .. I can’t wear it. Vetiver ? I can’t because of jovoy incident diplomatic… homme.. I sprayed it once still. Have the bottle but it’s not my fav.. edt so no silage. Vetiver parfum ? Ideal is my favorite edt… ideal extreme is trying too hard… ideal edp is almost making it trying too hard.. cologne haven’t tried that.intense I have to see if I have that one.. now ideal cool is the one that smells great. It will give you butterflies when you smell that one.
nice list , justin ! My 3 favorites are L'Homme Ideal Parfum, L'instant (which is awesome for layering with Terre D Hermes) and Vetiver Extreme! This is a niche house and underttated by the frag community

My favorite has been since 2000 the l'instant edt. But the last reformulation is very weak. Disapointment. Also have the last l' homme ideal extreme edp with grey etiquettte. Better duration 7-8 hours. Very beautiiful.
I have the old Guerlain Vetiver with silver cap I like it very much. Tryed the new Guerlain Vetiver in an airport, it was a dissapointment. More sweety, and it didnt last long. After 3-4 hours it was gone. Why do Guerlain change the smell and performance, of a classic product? Its really a shame.
Guerlain was my first niche pickup way waaaaay back when and I just finished the OG Homme recently. Sad sad day. Real classy house.

Also do you think Pasha De Cartier Parfum (which I do own) would be a decent fragrance to wear to work? Thanks Jeffrey! It all depends on the kind of vibe you want at the office. If you don’t mind something a little sweet, L’Homme Ideal EDT would be fine. Pasha Parfum would also work at the office when you want to have a more grown and sophisticated vibe 👌🏾

People dislike Habit Rouge l'Instinct so much that you can actually find it in stock.Vetiver and Ideal EDT were my first samples of Guerlain and I took a break from them for a few years. Ideal EDT just had bitter orange in it but the rest was compelling. I found EDP where they swap out orange for cherry and it's my favorite next to Intense. If I ever find it again, Platine Prive is supposed to be excellent.

I can't believe they got rid of Cologne... and I can't believe I got this for $20 in 2019 and wasted it by wearing everywhere.. Now it is so hard to find. Same thing happen to me earlier with Songe d'un bois d'ete. but it is back as Bois Mysteriaux. at least that is a win!
Lidge is a powerhouse on my skin. I have edt,edp and vintage. all are good. Shame it doesnt work on you bro

Not a young Buck anymore? Neither is Buck Rogers, 500 years plus and counting. Have several Guerlain's and quite happy with them all. Have a good performance with L'Instant, sorry to hear it's fleeting because it is a scent that evolves quite a bit throughout its wearing. Would definitely recommend you to sample the EDP and see if that performs a bit better on you because I thought you have a like for scents that don't just do all the same. Funnily enough Vetiver easily lasts the whole day and then some on me. Anyway, interesting list.
