@@RedRoverTW I only have the Vintage EDT Shawn that I plan to review this Autumn, and its quite a bit different in temperament to the EDP. The EDP is very smooth and dense as compared to the EDT and the sandalwood in EDP is the prominent note.

The wonderful Heritage from Guerlain. This has been my favourite scent since around 1996. Seasonally I'm very faithful to several scents, sometimes maybe adding a new one that has impressed me, or perhaps choosing not replace another. But the one ever-present constant in my life, the one that I could never contemplate being without, is Heritage from Guerlain. So thank you so much for honouring this irreplaceable, bespoke masterpiece with the summary review it truly deserves. Aside from Rojas Danger there is, quite frankly, nothing else that comes even close. And even Rojas can't replace it, it's that good. And I simply can't imagine anyone better to review it, either, so thank you again.

It is fascinating how the patchouli and sandalwood keep the edt and edp both from falling apart. the amber accord seems to combine with both notes perfectly even in cool weather. I even wore it a few times this winter.
The nuances this fragrance has is just mind blowing! I have the edt and it took me quite some time to understand it, I maybe have worn it like 5-10 times at home to grasp the complexity and notes in this fragrance. For now the edt is my favorite of the two, it is more sparkling, has a bit more kick as in projection, and it is definitely easier to wear than the EDP. Loved the review! Just ordered two of your recommendations - Rasasi’s WaaW and Rochas’ Moustache 2018 EDP. Also I did smell Chanel’s allure Homme sport cologne and I really enjoyed it, but it didn’t last much on my skin and for the money I’d find something better. I’ll go around and sniff Atelier Cologne’s stand in Frankfurt, as I’m looking for one of their musc fragrances, read good things about it in the forum. Take care, Stoyan

Now, I know why you have ordered Moustache, its apparently similar to Tuxedo ;). Please let me know if you see the similarities. When you are at the Ateliers do try Tobacco Nuit and Musc Imperial. Both are very good. Let me know when you receive WaaW and have had a chance to wear it properly, would be nice to hear your views on it.
The public rooms Holland America‘s Prinsendam cruise ship smelled exactly like Heritage. I didn‘t know it at the time, but smelled that exact scent a few years later on someone and was immediately transported back to the ship. I asked about it and was told the name of the perfume. On my next visit to Paris, I bought it at the Guerlain store on Champs Élysée. They even engraved your name on the bottle for free. I also found it interesting, that pricewise there isn’t a big difference between the EDT and the EDP.
I purchased a decant of Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum and it's simply AMAZING. Thank you for pointing towards it, I have since ordered a bottle and look forward to adding to my collection.
@@SmellsGoodfragrancereviews - I picked up the 2017 and it definitely does have a more citrus opening than the 2012 version. I hope that citrus tames and the smoothness of the 2012 comes through.

Hi AC, i am not sure if you have seen my previous comments on the costume national soul, anyway i purchased it and I have worn it enough to form a opinion on it and i absolutely love it, i find it a very easy fragrance to wear, there is something very comfortable and at the same time very reassuring and familiar about this fragrance, i could wear it snuggle up with my wife in front of a roaring log burner and feel good, to the other extreme all dressed up in formal wear and feel confident, its a versatile fragrance with good performance and just the right projection, so it's a solid nine out of ten for me and will probably go to a ten before to long, and thank you for your original review of it 👌

I must agree with you, I prefer this fragrance with a little warm weather 20º+ it's like all the notes just sparkle more, I have the edt version that I bought last summer, and now I don't like it has much like I did in summer, to me it doesn't work so well in this cold weather. Vetiver Extreme is both a favorite Guerlain and favorite vetiver. Darker, woodier, more spicy than Vetiver, but not too much: licorice & tarragon, pepper, incense additions; not greatest performance for me, but don't care. Went through my sample almost as fast as I did for Habit Rouge.

I have the EDT and it is just absolutely beautiful. I also own TF Beau d jour which is in the same genra actually pretty similar to me. But heritage is like a higher quality niche version of tf beau d jour. Beau d jour is so over bearingly powerful it smells like fabulouso the lavender floor cleaner or like urinal cakes it's to strong like bathroom cleaner. Heritage on the other hand is subtle and soft and beautifully comfortable just a way better version to me. I don't even wear bdj anymore.
Am 32 and have Habit rouge edp, heritage edp. My 2 best office fragrances After your reviews, next purchase shall be the edt versions of those. Keep on the good reviews.
Hi AC! I’m really enjoying your channel. Your descriptions are fantastic! Guerlain is my favourite house as well. I love both Heritages EDP & EDT. I do have a sample of Roja’s Danger which is astronomical in price at 100ml. Roja was paying tribute to this sultan composition. Would you categorize Heritage as a barbershop fragrance? It almost stands on top of the other designer fragrances. Jean Paul is a Genius! Davidoff’s Zino is quite close to this as well. Please keep those reviews coming!!! Love your opening “ Fellaaaas!”

This Heritage is an EDP and Zino is EDT, so Zino might project better? It would be fun to do a side by side comparison. Guerlain’s Heritage in EDT has better longevity and projection. But I love both! It’s a Masterpiece.

I'm really enjoying Heritage so far, I think it will be one where I notice different things when I wear it. I notice the sharp, peppery slightly sour opening and now florals are starting to pop through. I really like it as I dont detect any synthetic sweetness. I'm going out later to try S Lutens 5'oclock au gingembre, have you tried it? 👍

It is very similar to Beau de jour but higher quality and more subtle and classy. Azzaro pour homme is a whole different beast of a fragrance. It's way spicer and dirtier has some animalic touches and in the air smells like expensive shaving foam. Azzaro is my favorite even though heritage is more complex and higher quality. Azzaro is just more fun to wear and way sexier cause of that animalic touch. Heritage is like the guy asking a woman on a date to a nice dinner and azzaro ph is the guy banging her in the backseat lol.

I like this fragrance and I own it. Older women (mid to late 40s and above) seem to like this fragrance a lot.

I definitely prefer the EDT to the EDP: more progressive, more brighting and more long working fragrance (more than 3 hours more than EDP).
I like that the fragrance , within its structure gives a nod to former compositions. A clever idea and a clever review.

Totally echo your sentiments Jeremy. I actually get the aldehydes amped up in the EDT, while the EDP has a more subdued presence, atleast to my nose.

Plus Beau d jour is way more linear it has that strong lavender the entire time. It's just to much.

Hi AC! I’m really enjoying your channel. Your descriptions are fantastic! Guerlain is my favourite house as well. I love both Heritages EDP & EDT. I do have a sample of Roja’s Danger which is astronomical in price at 100ml. Roja was paying tribute to this sultan composition. Would you categorize Heritage as a barbershop fragrance? It almost stands on top of the other designer fragrances. Jean Paul is a Genius! Davidoff’s Zino is quite close to this as well. Please keep those reviews coming!!! Love your opening “ Fellaaaas!”

This Heritage is an EDP and Zino is EDT, so Zino might project better? It would be fun to do a side by side comparison. Guerlain’s Heritage in EDT has better longevity and projection. But I love both! It’s a Masterpiece.

This is an all-time classic but I actually prefer the EDT. Less linear, more sparkling.
EDP isn't linear but more creamy than sparkling.
Smells Good I find the EDT LESS linear...

Keith, the EDT is sharper and more spicy and slightly more bitter this is creamy.

I'm really enjoying Heritage so far, I think it will be one where I notice different things when I wear it. I notice the sharp, peppery slightly sour opening and now florals are starting to pop through. I really like it as I dont detect any synthetic sweetness.
I'm going out later to try S Lutens 5'oclock au gingembre, have you tried it? 👍
My wife said I smell good while wearing Heritage EDT. I own 40 fragrances and she has only commented on three of them.

It is very similar to Beau de jour but higher quality and more subtle and classy. Azzaro pour homme is a whole different beast of a fragrance. It's way spicer and dirtier has some animalic touches and in the air smells like expensive shaving foam. Azzaro is my favorite even though heritage is more complex and higher quality. Azzaro is just more fun to wear and way sexier cause of that animalic touch. Heritage is like the guy asking a woman on a date to a nice dinner and azzaro ph is the guy banging her in the backseat lol.

I have many Wassar fragrances, but I have yet to find one I like as well as Imperiale - Heritage. I guess I differentiate with the word vintage.
