Imagine evolving it and it’s no longer special.
You really can't have that anymore because gen 1 and Gen 2 games had internal batteries which would have died by now and we're not compatible to trade for it to gen 3 game that's how my first shiny died with the internal battery on gold.

@@hanmaitagaki8583 the save file is gone so there's no point my sister has done quote" surgery on old games like that so she could play them again by putting in a new battery but she knows nothing on there is for keeps because you know when that battery dies the safe all goes with it T_T my first shiny aside from the lake of rage Gyarados was a female wooper that I found just at the waterline in Union cave she was level 7 I debated for a very long time whether or not I should evolve her but at the time I had a gameshark so I could devolve if I wanted

I remember back in the Red/Blue days my mom read an add in the newspaper that there would be an Mew event distribution in Amsterdam. I was really stoked and when we got there we saw a giant size gameboy which showed the trade screen. You would hand over your catridge and they would insert it and it was the nose awesome thing ever!
100% a brag, I reckon I have one as rare as some of these. Pokemon Sun & Moon Launch Party - Virtual Console Distribution in 2016. It was only available at that party on the day before Sun and Moons launch, (Party lasted 6 hours) and there was anywhere between 100-200 people there maximum (1 Per person). The only way to have an English VC Mew is from that event.

I got a pretty rare find a while back. Not an event, but I caught a perfect IV Ferrothorn in swsh.
I posted about it in a shiny group (even though it was not shiny) so they could crunch the numbers.
They said it had a 1 in 890,000,000 to 1 in 1.1billion chance of appearing.
Thought that was kinda neat.

I was at this event too, still have my mew and flower lanyard... fast forward a year later to a friend of mine showing off his hacked ‘legit’ mew on his Pokémon Sun, lo and behold the trainer ID was the same as the event one I have! Seems like the ID leaked to allow the mew to transfer through bank, didn’t feel so special anymore

To answer your question: “What is the Rarest Event Pokémon You own?”
While it’s not really a event Pokémon, On the PokeIsle feature for Pokémon Sun, a wild Trevenent decided to settle on the island and join my team. I felt quite flattered considering Trevenant being a trade Pokémon is less than likely to find one in the wild. On top of that, This Trevenant liked me enough to be a lifelong companion and an Ace on my Team. So this Trevenant means a lot to me.
I have the same attachment to my first shiny Pokémon. My shiny Torchic. I unfortunately don’t have Pokémon bank or the premium version of Pokémon Home so I can’t transfer her over to shield or Brilliant Diamond.

I want to share my sad story.
I was the owner of one of these 251 Celebi and was pretty proud about having it, the envy of all the other kids on my school for a year.
One day, I leaved for the summer school all morning and when I came back, my cousin had erased all my pokemon savefiles, all my pokemon lost, included that priced Celebi.
It has been nearly 20 years, but I still haven't forgiven him for that.
My shiny Beldum that knows Hold Back, that I evolved into shiny Metagross. At 1 My shiny Metagross, it's the rarest of all time. Because there may be many like it, but this ONE is mine. ;)
I ended up with 2 of them beldums because I got OR and AS. Traded 1 to my cousin who was beginning his pokemon journey. He hasn't evolved it 😊

I did get one of those, but I forgot about it and accidentally wiped OR since it was a digital copy that came with the special edition 2DS and I'd transferred it to my new 3DS XL. Then I think I factory reset for some reason. I do have AS on physical copy but I've yet to complete it to this day.

There was a Pokemon mall tour in the late 90's that gave Mew away to participants. That's the first time Mew was ever publicly released in the U.S. Any info on the numbers for that giveaway?

They mostly thrashed us using Mew and Mewtwo with Double Team, Toxic and Recover/Softboiled Egg (Mew). I remember being devasted when his Jolteon OHKOed my starter Charizard, but I whittled my gym leader down to his Mewtwo. Toxic was going to take out my last mon, but I got lucky-- gym leader "Misty" hit run by accident as he was talking to me, so I left with a champion's hat.

Not so long ago while transferring pkmn from older gens to Shield ,I realized I had a legit (yes,I went ahead and prove it) 10 aniv Ho-oh in my Diamond save.
Its amazing to have Pkmn from more than 15years in newer gens.

I actually have a Corocoro Fly Pikachu, though in actuality he has since evolved into a Raichu. I've transferred him to X, and once the DLC packs for SwSh come out, I'll transfer him to the games with my other Pokémon.

I’m not sure how many were distributed but I figured the pre-order bonus disk for colosseum would be on here. The English version gave a Jiirachi to promote the movie and the Japanese version gave a Pikachu and a Celebi

Remember that the event Pokemon given during the first 2 generations are even more rare now or may not even exist anymore as the original battery for those games have long since died.

There's 3 mew that could be captured in Red Version, I found one in Lavender Town on the left exit when I was into it back in 2015ish after finding out about the glitch. Don't remember much though, I just use the card now to play Pokemon Stadium. I do need to rework some of the moves lol
I watched once a Pikasprey video where it said that was impossible to beat Gen 1 with only 1 Magikarp. If you could trade the Dragon Rage Magikarp it could change the gameplay a lot.

I attended the Pokémon 2000 Stadium Tour they distributed Mew, it was also a Pokemon tournament for the Red & Blue games.
