The boy tasting air is not weird: air is indeed different from place to place. I'd wager Hoenn's air is more salty than, say, Kalos.
Especially that area. Volcanic soil is extremely fertile, and that area is pretty close to the base of Mt. Pyre, so the air would feel extremely green and fresh, as well as salty. It'd be kinda like Hawaii or a warmer Iceland - I'd imagine.
IIRC, in German he says "the air is so fresh/clean here". So not that weird after all.

4:30 Actually, Elgyem and Beheeyem can learn Steel Wing because on Black and White Steel Wing was the TM51, which references their relation with the Area 51
Yet Beheeyem can't learn TM51 or TR51 in Sword and Shield.
Also it might be refrencing how they may have come from space in a spaceship. Spaceships are made of metal and can fly.

@Ian Smith is best according to the Pokedex, physics don't operate normally in the Pokemon world. Don't forget you can put a multi-ton weighing Pokemon in a Pokeball and carry it on your hip just fine.

In Generation 1, Lickitung cannot learn lick whatsoever. That's really weird considering it's classified as the licking Pokémon and the Yellow Pokedex states that its tongue is 7 feet long.

@Aidan Watson Um, no. Ice types existed in first generation. Steel, Dark, and Fairy are the ONLY types introduced in later generations. Lorelei the ice type gym leader had access to Aurora beam, Ice Punch, and Blizzard.

Did you know that gyrados (at least in pokemon sword & shield) can learn SPLASH from the move tutor at the pokemon center even if you made it forget the move for something else like waterfall?
The thing I find weird and interesting is the fact that Feraligatr the WATER type starter can't learn the HM WATERfall in gen 2, but can learn it in every other gen it is in.

There were some really crappy handbooks back in the day. I had one for Red/Blue that said the Special stat determined the accuracy of status moves, and an inofficial one for Pokémon Stadium that was written by somone under the impression that dualtype Pokémon couldn't benefit from STAB - which lead to them declaring _Tangela_ the best Grass-type in Gen 1!

#42 brings about another question that's probably been asked a vast amount of times: Why does Mewtwo have 2 Mega evolutions and Mew doesn't even have 1? It almost seems to me like Mew could've taken it's Y form.
Most of them are pretty accurate but there is one thing that you missed.

Substitute on shedinja is probably actually a good thing. Since only super effect attacks hit it the substitute can take care of the super effective moves making the pokemon damn near invincible. Of course there's so much that can go wrong there and it's not 100% protected.
Of course I'm only researching how the move and ability work putting it into actual practice I don't know

He was talking about any types resisting dragon because dragon rage doesn't have any base power it always deals 40 hp ignoring resistances and I'm pretty sure immunities too like fairy but I might be wrong.

The number of trainer sprites holding whips in Gen 1 are a holdover from an older build/concept of the game where trainers fought Pokemon directly, rather than with other Pokemon.
Cryogonal can learn Attract, but it can't actually attract anything else because it will always fail when used by a genderless Pokemon.
Tangela is available in all three other Gen 4 games, so you can get it via trade not just by pal park.
And "long" Pokemon like Furret aren't actually giving "height", but rather the given height value is their body length. That's why all the snake like Pokemon have such obscenely large "height" measurements.
Dude the deli bird being a legendary in the book just brought back an old memory to when I was in second graded and a friend and I were looking through my friends copy of the book and I told him that delibird isn’t a legendary and that the book was wrong. Holy shit that’s wild
