"you were only allowed to carry one bucket of honey". I would really like to know where you got this kind of information from. Everybody that used this feature should know that you can buy as many as you want, you just have to speak to him again and again for each honey. I think in platinum they even added an option to buy 10 at a time, if that wasnt already in the original games, i can't remember. Also, that chansey calc is just wrong. First off, you got to include the chance of even finding a chansey in the first place, which is 1%, next up the chance of finding one with a lucky egg, which is 5% or a 1/20 chance, not 1/200. So there would be a 0.05% chance to find one with a lucky egg in the wild. Last but not least, the capture rate, which certainly isn't 30%. You might have that mixed up with the catch rate, which is 30, but a catch rate of 30 only means 3,9% with full hp (which safari mons have) and without any pokeball multipliers. The safari ball has a multiplier of 1,5x, so we would be at about 6% per ball. This last part is a bit of a guesstimate, so if anybody has some more accurate information, feel free to correct me: You always get to throw one ball at the beginning of the encounter for free, and assuming the flee rate for chansey is about 30%, (i couldn't actually get any real information about this so it's just a guess) you would get 2 more tries per encounter on average. 0.94, which is the rate of failure, to the power of 3 equals about 0.83, which is the collective failure rate of all 3, so we would have an ~17% chance of catching a chansey when encountering one on average. Using all of these numbers in our equation, we would have a 1% chance to find one, a 5% chance for it holding an egg, and another 17% chance to capture it. 0.01*0.05*0.17 which would be 0.0085% or ~12000 encounters. Now onto the Salamence thing. Yes, bagon has a 1% encounter rate. And Salamence also has a 1% encounter rate inside of a Bagon sos-chain, BUT that doesn't mean Salamence has a 1/10000 encounter rate. After you found a bagon and it called for help once, you're in the chain. It doesn't fail if you don't find a Salamence after the first try, you can just stay in the battle and have a 1% chance for each and every call, so adding them both into one probability doesnt make any sense to me, unless you mean the chance of getting a shiny salamence immediately after the bagon called for help once, which would be kinda pointless because it doesn't add anything to the rarity of the actual shiny.

"This was the early 2000s... not even most adults had cell phones in that era!" Over 50% of the population in Japan had a cell phone in 2000. This increased to 67.8% in 2003. So most Japanese kids had at least one parent with a cellular phone. In addition, there is probably a high correlation between owning a Game Boy and having parents with cellular phones in Japan while the product was on the market.
I remember catching a Munchlax from a honey tree on my original play through of Diamond back in 2007. I never realized how rare it actually was. I just knew they appeared from the trees and I was determined to get one so I kept slathering trees until I got one to appear.
Magistone maybe he was thinking sound type would haev no direct weakness but Pokemon with that ability were basically immune Anyway that's what I think
No, it has the same effect as Soundproof, which does not rely on a sound type. In fact, why is Cacophony at number 1? It's just a different name for an ability we already have, so it isn't rare at all. By the same logic, the Blaziken/Lati fusion from concept art would be rare.
Easily going a year without finding Mirage Island is an understatement. If you checked every single day, starting when Ruby and Sapphire came out in 2002 up until now, you would have roughly a 40% chance of seeing Mirage Island once over the course of those 16 years.
Number 1 was complete bullshit. Ill tell you why its the rarest ability, because no pokemon has ever had as there is no programming for it... Ergo it doesnt exist! thats like me saying my imaginary goldfish is the biggest fish in the world! The rest of the list was fine but number one made no sense at all!
He had the whole ability wrong, he kept saying sound type when it was meant to deal with sound based moves. There is now an ability that does this and it isn't rare.
I remember I got a lucky egg in Alpha Sapphire with a Pelipper, so it must be a lot easier to get it there. I accidentally wonder traded it away though
Can't really 1-up it that way. Otherwise you could say: What if Shiny Bagon called helped for another Shiny Bagon which then (after defeating the first shiny bagon) calls help for a Shiny Salamence. This could go on endlessly.
Abyssal Obscurities nope shiny manaphy is rarer. Even shiny chansey Holding lucky egg in 1% encounter rate part of safari zone. And it Can flee and you have to catch it
A shiny Salamance in sumo is actually not 1/40 million because you only need to find a wild Bagon once and the chance to get a shiny by sos-ing is 1/1,024. So the Chance is 1/102,400. It's still pretty high but there are definitely rarer shinys like Manaphy or the safary Chancy in the 3 generation.
First of all, he means COMBINING THE CHANCES of finding the Bagon & THE SALEMENCE. Second, you calculated that wrong. The highest possible chance of a shiny in SOS Chaining is, at full odds, is 1 in 315.1, so if you run all of that through, the chances, at best, is about 1 in 3,151,000. And that's WITHOUT the Shiny Charm. With it, regular chaining would be a 1 in 105 chance, and for the shiny Salemence, about 1 in 1,050,000 at the HIGHEST POSSIBLE ODDS.
My little brother found a shiny once on my black and white Pokémon game, he knew what shinys were but never had seen a Zangoos so he kill it thinking that was his original color I said "ISSAC WHY JUST WHY ISSAC" then like a cool little guy he went shiny hunting for the first time and caught that Zangoos back props dude 😎

BunnySisters MSP Yeah, in Pokemom Sun and Moon that's the easiest way to get a Munchlax in Pokemon Sun and Moon everyone knows so you know I don't have to explain it to you.
For the Salamance rare occurrence, the odds can be increased by killing the unlucky bagon and letting another assistant spawn, doubling your odds, keep repeating and the odds gets more likely.

In leaf green, I had around seven Chansey and four lucky eggs. Never had such a luck with them again. Was also the game where I caught the most shiny pokemon.
The first time I played through Platinum I slathered my first tree, came back, and it was munchlax. I managed to catch it too! I was so surprised, cause I knew how rare they were.
@@heroofthewinds7765 Yeah, it takes 6 hours for a pokemon to appear when you use honey on a tree, and munchlax is a 1% encounter on four random trees depending on your trainer ID
I played a trainer with 6 Legends. They must have thought that just because they had legendaries, that they were the best trainer. Their Mega Rayquaza got its butt kicked by my Blissey.
Unless his Rayquaza was purely focused on Special Attack, I see no way in hell how a Blissey can wall off a Rayquaza. He's going to hit you with a physical move and you'll be dead before you can heal.
Lindorm Grafvölluðr Trainers who is a team of 6 legendaries have no idea how to play. Whoever it was probably spammed Draco Meteor just because it was a 140 Damage attack XD.
I used an action replay and I can capture trainers and other people's pokemon with a poke ball or any ball for that matter, and I can spawn any pokemon I want into the game :3
That last one just sounds like it was a misprint or something on the Exploud card. You said Cacophony negates sound based moves and belongs to the Whismer tree, that sounds exactly like Soundproof which Whismer's line has and negates sound attacks.
I don't know about a lucky egg Chansey, but I actually did get a feamale shiny salandit holding a smoke ball. I did not have the shiny charm at the time, I was using cute charm though, and the chance of a salandit holding a smoke ball is 5%. What are the odds of that happening?
Wait, if the lucky egg has a 5% spawn rate on the chancy then that's a 1 in 20 odds not a 1 in 200. Even if you were to factor in the 1% encounter rate that would make the odds 1 in 2000 as a 1% encounter rate is a 1 in 100 odd. The odds of a 1% event occurring and a 5% event occurring are 1/100x1/20=1/2000. You got to the 7.5/50000 just fine, but the odds of finding one are off. I can't imagine being the only person that saw this error, but no one seems to mentiion it.
No he didn't you idiot. 1/100 Chansey encounter rate multiplied with 5/100 chance of the lucky egg is 5/10000, which can be reduced to 1/2,000. He said 1/200
what about a shiny bagon with perfect iv's hidden ability and beneficial nature calling for a salamence with perfect iv's hidden ability, beneficial nature and holding a dragon claw on the first turn (assuming you get it down to 1 health)!
About the honey thing.. you can carry more then 1 honey at a time, you just have to buy 1 at a time a long and rather tedious process. Also the honey would work after only about 4 hours.
speaking of shiny salamence remember the guy who encountered a shiny bagon and that bagon called a shiny salamence?

MiniTuberPlayz That isn't possible, sadly.
But what IS possible is getting a Togepi to use Roar of Time in Heartgold... idk about the other gen 4 games, but I can confirm it for Heartgold
Using metronome and get metronome and use the metronome got and got another metronome and use the metronome that the metronome used and get another metronome and get a metronome and the metronome that you metronomed have metronome.
Isn't possible. There are a couple of moves that you cannot get when using metronome, and metronome itself is an example of that.
MiniTuberPlayz is that even possible
"This was the early 2000s... not even most adults had cell phones in that era!" Over 50% of the population in Japan had a cell phone in 2000. This increased to 67.8% in 2003. So most Japanese kids had at least one parent with a cellular phone. In addition, there is probably a high correlation between owning a Game Boy and having parents with cellular phones in Japan while the product was on the market.

A horde of spinda that all have the same pattern ,are shiny ,and have 6 iv's and all holding the same item. Just a thought 🦑😀
and have the same nature and pokerus.
Wail Lord ZP And hidden abilities
And the item is a Lucky Egg
And all egg moves
and an orgy of them
I remember catching a Munchlax from a honey tree on my original play through of Diamond back in 2007. I never realized how rare it actually was. I just knew they appeared from the trees and I was determined to get one so I kept slathering trees until I got one to appear.
One time I went to get a gengar from an sos battle. I never got that sos gengar but I got something way better
A shiny haunter!!!!!
haunter is my favorite pokemon
I have a shiny gengar
nice find! so you will be able to get your gengar after all! and even make it sjiny! awesome!!!
Dope!!!!!!
Emma_Jo trade it with an everstone
wtf???? this ability wasn't used but they made soundproof instead, which does the same thing
I don't understand why he thought a sound type was considered because of that.
Magistone dobbs is just.... odd
Magistone maybe he was thinking sound type would haev no direct weakness but Pokemon with that ability were basically immune
Anyway that's what I think
No, it has the same effect as Soundproof, which does not rely on a sound type.
In fact, why is Cacophony at number 1? It's just a different name for an ability we already have, so it isn't rare at all. By the same logic, the Blaziken/Lati fusion from concept art would be rare.
he's here he's there he's everywhere. who you're gonna call? psychic friend fredbear
8:40 “link it to a gay boy”
It had me cracking up for ten minutes
lmao same
OK so I'm not the only one who heard it?!?!?!
Easily going a year without finding Mirage Island is an understatement. If you checked every single day, starting when Ruby and Sapphire came out in 2002 up until now, you would have roughly a 40% chance of seeing Mirage Island once over the course of those 16 years.
Dobbs has never failed to bring a hilarious intro

ZoroarkEX I got a wild munchlax of a tree on my first time slathering honey and I didn't even use a calculator to find the right trees
Matthew Dixon *joke*
Fuck you.
It's in the code of the game you just can't get it in the game without cheating.
yeah but you'd think "rare" would be mean it's actually possible to obtain it, just very very unlikely.
mc BlowUp i actually have it
He had the whole ability wrong, he kept saying sound type when it was meant to deal with sound based moves. There is now an ability that does this and it isn't rare.
mc BlowUp You can actually use this ability if you choose Exploud in the BATTLE FACTORY.
I remember I got a lucky egg in Alpha Sapphire with a Pelipper, so it must be a lot easier to get it there. I accidentally wonder traded it away though
1-upping 6th place on what you said.....
....what if both bagon and salamence were shinies
Can't really 1-up it that way. Otherwise you could say: What if Shiny Bagon called helped for another Shiny Bagon which then (after defeating the first shiny bagon) calls help for a Shiny Salamence.
This could go on endlessly.
what if the shiny salamence that it's hidden ability Kappa
Actually the rarest pokemon encounter is a shiny munchlax
*Using the tree
Abyssal Obscurities nope shiny manaphy is rarer. Even shiny chansey Holding lucky egg in 1% encounter rate part of safari zone. And it Can flee and you have to catch it
You can SR for a shiny munchlax but you can't for manaphy making manaphy rarer
I'm supposed to be playing Pokemon Sun, but this one Dobbs keeps uploading amazing videos

The rarest thing is Ash beating Drake( orange league) with a freaking PIKACHU!!
Nate Swag The rarest thing is ash beating Gary with a CHARIZARD when he had Golem and Blastoise as his final 2 Pokemon
Killerbeast 2508 The rarest thing is ash killing an onix with his pikachu using an ELECTRIC type move
Now add pokerus to the s.o.s salmamce
the one and only mon and perfect ivs and a good nature
I thought the rarest thing in pokemon was someone picking the nugget in the pokeball factory in pokemon xy rather than the master ball XD
LAVAB you actually get both anyway, if I remember correctly
21 HONEY TREES
Hank Boog true

Rarest thing to happen is Ash evolving his pikachu..
It alomst happened...
Ash:NEVER 😡
that is true
Ash evolving Pikachu is 1 in ♾
A shiny Salamance in sumo is actually not 1/40 million because you only need to find a wild Bagon once and the chance to get a shiny by sos-ing is 1/1,024.
Im glad when I was playing a fire red rom, I didn't have to do honey tree method, I could just find it in grass.
The Fury at least he caught it again
The Fury I have a golem that is golden and a sandslash that has red spikes on its back

Horde battle of six shiny spines with all the same patterns, with all perfect IVs and all have a hidden ability.
Lol Lolson five only spindas
+Lol Lolson It'd be much more impressive if there's no difference at all, same nature, gender, and personality value.
Ash- Greninja and same pattern spindas
horde battle of 6 shiney spindas with the same patterns and the rarest ability
You mean the rarest ability that Spinda can have. In the wild.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't there only 2 of a certain charizard card. Like I think there base set, first edition, grade 10, and holom
what are the chances of finding a Shiny Chansey holding a lucky egg?
1/∞
with pokerus and 6 iv?
Nostah dobbs made an author video wher he told what is the chance of finding a shiny lucky egg chancy.
What about a shiny Chansey holding a Lucky Egg has Pokerus has 6 IV and knows the move Wish,Diamond Storm,Moongeist Beam,Doom Desire and Sheer Cold?
(Neither any of the move choices could be the rarest.)
And the Chansey group you have the same personalities and are all holding a Lucky Egg and knows the same moves and all of them have Pokerus and all of them are evil and all of the Chanseys are shiny.
hi
You can get a Munchlax through Mystery Gift
Always gotta' check those Mystery Gifts.
***** Ah right, my mistake.
BunnySisters MSP Yeah, in Pokemom Sun and Moon that's the easiest way to get a Munchlax in Pokemon Sun and Moon everyone knows so you know I don't have to explain it to you.
BunnySisters MSP I Got It Too!

Lens Mathurin I'll reply to you XD
For the Salamance rare occurrence, the odds can be increased by killing the unlucky bagon and letting another assistant spawn, doubling your odds, keep repeating and the odds gets more likely.
The rarest thing in pokemon is to find a a zubat in a cave.
No it should be Tentacool and pidgey
the rarest thing in pokemon is NOT finding a zubat in a cave
Uh yes it is. Have you ever?
no it's finding a tentacool in the ocean
pedro henrique gazon or a tentacool int the water
Who else didn't know what there was a Mirage Island in RSE

Eman Eshiet in Pokemon omega ruby and alpha sapphire you can go to the mirage island using the eon flute
Liam Q I'm talking about the originals
lol I didn't XD
Rarest thing in Pokemon ? Me winning a wifi battle....😢😢 ps - in Diamond I spent hours straight playing to finally get my lucky egg! So worth it.
jamie darren When I battle again someone from Japan, they make me look like a total noob. XD
Espeon804 I had a battle where Will-o-Wisp missed one turn too late an a Dragon Dance boosted Dragonite decimated my poor team :( lol I have 3 or 4 wins but other than that I always get destroyed on wifi 😂.....😢
jamie darren Have you EV and IV trained your pokemon? Do they have good natures? These are the common things that make people lose usually.. not training strong enough pokemon :D
+Jere Kreivilä some people dont have the time
AwesomeEB I know but it's still a very important thing for wifi battles if you want to win
The funny thing from the beginning is Munchlax can already learn Self Destruct
It used metronome which lets it randomly pick a move
near the start
"no gs ball"
number 4
gs ball
AwesomeEB master ball is for rarest pokeball
Gs ball is for rarest event item
AwesomeEB Yes the rules he said it needs to be useable.
Rj Pena Number one wasn't usable considering it still doesn't exist
1800tanmay Sorry can you explain I can't remember that video.
Dobbs, my man, there is an ability called soundprooof that does exactly what you said about your number 1 pick
#1 is absolutely cheating. If you cannot get the Cocophany ability, nor ever could have, then it's not the rarest. It just doesn't exist.
I agree. An unused ability shouldn't even be on this list.
Billy Esparza well its in gen 3
But it's impossible for anything to get it.
also that ability is just soundproof with another name
Billy Esparza it does exist it was just renamed soundproof
I swear the intro was almost exactly the same as the "Rarest pokemon" one (not that I have a problem with that)
N D u think that's the point. like a reference, a throwback
Qcumber queen maybe, I could see this being a throwback
N D it's nice. (esp since that one was the first video of his that I saw)
Yeah right
These post gen 1 pokemon in the style of gen 1 sprites are giving me the creeps.
Probably doesn't help that a couple of them have..... rather unfortunate design flaws that some may consider.... well, racist.
The fact that Munchlax is so rare in diamond, pearl and platinum makes you wonder where Barry got his Munchlax
Yeah he's really impatient so where the heck did he find the patience to find a Pokemon that rare?
@@heroofthewinds7765 Yeah, it takes 6 hours for a pokemon to appear when you use honey on a tree, and munchlax is a 1% encounter on four random trees depending on your trainer ID
I know this sounds weird but i did my first kickflip while watching this
0:06 that's me when I find munchlax

Im I the only one that thinks that GS Ball stands for GoldSilver Ball?
actually it stands for that
MCgamerNL And the colors of the Ball are golden( for gold) and whitish grey( for silver) to make it more evinent.
I'm sure it does. It appearantly in the anime was probably a reference to tell the played new games were coming.
JewelpetPrincess no it was a plot device that unused in the cartoon. In the manga it's the special ball that capable of catching celebii
Nguyên Vũ Yeah, i know that too.

For real
What are these strange Pokemon sprites on the sides of the screen? Where do they come from?
No I'm not. The Pokemon games I played (European versions) have quite different sprites.
They're fanmade sprites; a lot are also Pokemon from various generations from 3 and above, but in the generation 2 art style
perkypears gen 1*
perkypears they come from the Pokémon Red 721 games
DOBBS ITS BEEN OVER 4 MONTHS WHERE IS THE 2ND EPISODE OF TWITCH PLAYS POKÉMON

#0 Battling a trainer with a team of 6 legendaries that's actually good at the game
I played a trainer with 6 Legends. They must have thought that just because they had legendaries, that they were the best trainer. Their Mega Rayquaza got its butt kicked by my Blissey.
Hawkeye259 lol
Lets add to the shiny sos salemance. The bagon is also shiny now. There we go, thats rare
That last one just sounds like it was a misprint or something on the Exploud card. You said Cacophony negates sound based moves and belongs to the Whismer tree, that sounds exactly like Soundproof which Whismer's line has and negates sound attacks.
@@masterxehanort8083 thats harsh and IT WAS WRITTEN AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN and no he said it more than once
I don't know about a lucky egg Chansey, but I actually did get a feamale shiny salandit holding a smoke ball. I did not have the shiny charm at the time, I was using cute charm though, and the chance of a salandit holding a smoke ball is 5%. What are the odds of that happening?
Anna Mansour 1 In 4,986,000
Anna Mansour I don't know but you are lucky
Wait, if the lucky egg has a 5% spawn rate on the chancy then that's a 1 in 20 odds not a 1 in 200. Even if you were to factor in the 1% encounter rate that would make the odds 1 in 2000 as a 1% encounter rate is a 1 in 100 odd. The odds of a 1% event occurring and a 5% event occurring are 1/100x1/20=1/2000. You got to the 7.5/50000 just fine, but the odds of finding one are off. I can't imagine being the only person that saw this error, but no one seems to mentiion it.
WTF??????
caleb 0_o let me explain: dobbs said that 5% was 1/200 even though in reality it's 1/20 but he still got the math right in the end
Dobbs can't math
No one caught the error since he is talking way too fast for anyone to enjoy the video lol
No he didn't you idiot. 1/100 Chansey encounter rate multiplied with 5/100 chance of the lucky egg is 5/10000, which can be reduced to 1/2,000. He said 1/200
The memories and adventurous experience we all got from playing the games as kids
Let me guess: Having a shiny Bagon summon a shiny Salamence in Sun and Moon is #1.
Marshadow the Magical nope :3
ur a wizard harry (ಥ﹏ಥ)
with hidden ability
what about a shiny bagon with perfect iv's hidden ability and beneficial nature calling for a salamence with perfect iv's hidden ability, beneficial nature and holding a dragon claw on the first turn (assuming you get it down to 1 health)!
What about Feebas
Shiny Feebas would be pretty rare.
A G But the tile keeps changing every time and even then the chances of the Feebas appearing is very low
I have a shiny one obey and cry
butturface The tiles only change if you leave the route, and Feebas encounter rate on said six tiles is pretty high.
Akbar Sorry, but I'll have to disagree with you on that! The feebas tiles change every day at midnight.
Imagine this: Fire Red/Leaf Green legit 6IV shiny Lucky Egg Safari Zone Chansey.
jacob whitinger GTFO lol
Then throw 5 rocks at it before throwing only 1 pokeball. If it doesn't work, run away and start the challenge again. IMAGINE
With the perfect nature and pokerus
And it turns out to be a shiny Chansey.
Risa JessGaming waht is pokerus @-@
About the honey thing.. you can carry more then 1 honey at a time, you just have to buy 1 at a time a long and rather tedious process. Also the honey would work after only about 4 hours.
