Adam always thrills me with his songs, his voice, performances and his wonderful personality.
He is always kind, polite and respectful to people.
To see him so emotional and feel his pain absolutely does a lot to me.
Stripped of flesh and bone : I still love you Adam.
Underneath we find such a beautiful loving and tender soul.
Stay who you are Adam you are truly amazing.

I remember the 1st time I heard this song. I'd bought the CD and went for a drive with the top down on my car on the interstate to listen to it (because I can really rock out loud in my car, I won't do that in my apartment out of respect for the neighbors) When this song played, I felt it in my bones. I knew why Adam was singing it, yet at the same time, the lyrics applied to myself due to my struggles with mental health issues after so much abuse and trauma in my life. I some times feel like a "freak" who is misunderstood and if people only took the time to get to know me and my story (the underneath) instead of judging me...over the past few years, I have accepted who I am and openly speak about my mental health issues because I'm tired of the stigma around them, for myself and others who also have been made to feel they need to "suck it up buttercup" because alot of society today lacks empathy. About 1/2 way through the song, I was bawling so hard that I had to exit the interstate and pull into a gas station for the rest of the song. It has become one of my favorite songs, I still cry when I hear it, because I appreciate Adam's emotion and expression and experiences in life, and what this song means to him and others. ❤❤❤

In his American Idol audition, Simon called him too theatrical... To me one of Adam's great strengths as an artist - aside from his phenomenal voice - is that he always connects emotionally to the song. He doesn't just sing, he performs and sends his emotions out through his performances.

When he wrote this and performed this on his album, everyone loved it, he said it was so raw he didn't think he could perform it live, but after a few years, you see him doing just that!! Adam is phenomenal, I love his solo work best, but his Queen stuff is awesome too!

This is what song facts has to say about the song. I copied from the article: The other writers on the track are also denizens of Nashville: Josh Crosby and Catt Gravitt.
Josh Crosby and Robert Marvin produced this track. In our interview with the song's co-writer Catt Gravitt, she explained that Lambert stopped recording during the session so he could take a call from VH1, which was doing a "behind the scenes" report on him. Lambert came back distraught because the network spent very little time discussing his music and focused the story on his being gay. "We all had this beautiful discussion about all of us, and him really sharing his vulnerabilities, and then he got back up to the microphone and sang that song," Gravitt said. "I truly think the world of that guy. He really was bearing his soul that day, and when I listen to him sing that song, it just kills me."

I had to listen to this again and again. And the screams of the guy in the middle of the song remeinded me of something: there is a word („duende“) that describes when Flamenco singers are able to bring listeners to a kind of frenzy and let them forget anything around them, to bring them the "now". I think that is exactly what happened here!

  • @veneziastar

He's incredible! Can't say enough nice things about him. He's not only one of the top vocalists in the world, he's also a well know phlianthropist for the LBGTQ community. I saw in Las Vegas at the Venetian, the incredible thing is, even though that video sounds amazing, he'll astound because he sounds even better in person. My granddaughter is gay and I remember the day she told me how surprised she was when I said, "That's fine, let's go shopping." The reason she was surprised was a friend of hers came out to her grandma and she rejected her. I'm glad Adam Lambert is out since I think it helps other closeted gay people come out. I had a work mate, who was gay, and I remember the weekend he decided he'd fly home and tell his parents & sister, he was a nervous wreck he's lose his sister. I asked what she did, he said, "She's an artist in New York." I said, "I doubt you have anything to worry about since she's part of the artistic community." I was right, i he was accepted by his entire family.

I was at this concert, and it was like my breath stopped during this performance but I didn’t even notice until the end because the music had been providing the oxygen I needed. For an awesome and fun performance, you would probably enjoy Adam performing “Marry the Night” on the the television series “Glee”. It isn’t that deep, nor is it meant to be. It’s a mood. Adam was going to have a longer story arc on the show, but he had to leave early because he and Queen were embarking on what would be their first world tour. Nonetheless, he has a few more performances on “Glee” which are worth checking out. Thanks for what you do.

Adam is an openly gay man and possibly the best male vocalist in the world. Besides his own music he tours with Queen as their lead vocalist. Queen made the right choice with Adam, he respects Freddie by keeping Queen alive without making the music boring.

Adam started his Feel Something foundation to assist LGBTQ+ community's mental health challenges. When he wrote Feel Something he shared with his fans that he also was struggling with his challenges and disappointments, even with all his success. Please take a look at this phenomenal song and his vulnerable exposuee. Adam is the real deal. ❤❤❤ This song was released in 2020 during pandemic.

Adam has done/is doing a documentary that will air on ITV called "Loud". It's about his journey as an LGBTQ+ artist and he's also going to interview other gay artists from the UK.
Some more Adam suggestions? How about from his days in musical theatre pre-Idol. "Is Anybody Listening?" from The Ten Commandments: The Musical - th-cam.com/video/lvwcJUhIa0U/w-d-xo.html and "Come to Me, Bend to Me" from Brigadoon. No visuals for this one, just audio but he was singing light opera at 22 yrs old and it's breathtaking - th-cam.com/video/DJYyqzUr6jU/w-d-xo.html
