I just wanted to thank you because you literally have changed my life. I was like you and always straightening my hair with heat/treatments. It was dead. Then I found your channel and basically binge watched all of your hair care videos. My hair was to my butt, but nasty and frizzy. I have the same curl type as you and it is now that I am 17 that I realize how curly my hair really is. I had to cut off 8 inches to get rid of all the damage. I've been heat free for a month and sulfate/silicon free for 2 weeks now. The change is unbelievable. Thanks a bunch!

I second this. My hair type changed drastically when I started using henna in my hair, and then changed again when I stopped. I have grey hair so keeping that shit smooth has been a lot of trial and error. My hair is very picky when it comes to finding something that moisterizes without weighing it down. Shea butter seems to work like a charm, and light oils on my wet hair seem to do the trick for the most part.
      Curly hair, AMIRITE 🤷

I think that I have low. My hair floats when I do the water strand test and it takes ages for it to dry. But it's a weird texture and its bumpy when I run my fingers up it. It also tended to be quite dry.

You should try using hair masks! Heat ur hair and apply the mask, leave it overnight making sure its warm up there, and then shower in the morning with a final apple cider vinegar and cold water rise!

Well explained 👍🏼, I at first thought I might have high porosity hair but I think mine falls into to medium/normal now. Mine does get wet quickly (within10 seconds) and dries if loose within 30 minutes. I just put little bit of hair oil and it does the moisturizing.

I don't know, I still can't figure out my porosity...my hair frizzed a lot, I can't figure out what products to use for the frizz to stop, I did the water test and my hair stays on top, I can't feel a lot of bumps on a strand of hair and when I use certain conditioners my hair feels mushy, I'm just having a hard time figuring this out, I thought you wouldn't have frizz with low porosity hair, but that is my biggest struggle oh and my hair feels so dry!! Yeah my hair is low porosity for sure! It is hard for it to absorb everything even water. If I don't touch it and just leave it under the water without touching it then the water will just run on top of it for a while up to 30 seconds or even a minute! But it is also very shiny and healthy so the struggle of moisturizing it is worth it!

I have low porosity. Assume I wash my hair in the evening around ten-eleven, have a snack, watch some Netflix and go to sleep at one, my hair is still damp from the midlength to the roots when I wake up at ten in the morning. It's fricking ridiculous. I don't even have it in a bun or anything but push it over the pillow on the top of my head.
My husband has high porosity and he's got long hair, a little over his shoulders. With the same time schedule his hair is dry when he has finished his snack.
Also I wash my hair every 3-4 days meanwhile he goes ten days and it doesn't even look dirty.

I have to questions that I really need help with. 1. My hair is pretty short (shoulder length). How should I style it? 2. How are you so confident? I am worried people will make fun of my hair since it's short and curly. How can I be confident with my curls without wearing it in a bun everyday? Thanks :)

Also, how long did it take you to grow your hair to its current length? And what length did you start at?

All my hair is more like my fathers and is silky and low porosity. Then i have these two sections that are tigher curl and high porosity like my moms. I found water and grease sovled the problem of the constant dry feeling. The tangle and break so easily lol. That's what you get for being mixed 😂😂 those sections love grease.

This video was very helpful for me to figure out my hair porosity. Can You make a video on conditioning the different types of hair porosity...

What if my hair has low porosity closer to the roots but it comes to normal at the ends and it becomes messy and and kind of curly and dry and unhealthy looking and stuff? How do I make it look more healthy? Should I maybe just cut it shorter and let it grow out again?

I am so glad I found one of your videos which led me to your channel. I am so frustrated with my hair because of how bad I took care of it. I used various hair products like spray, gel, and mousse all at once and little did I know that it would mess up my hair to this extent.
I actually began to lose hair because of all the products I used all at once. Also with stress from university and work doesn't help either. Finally, to top it all off I currently have a dandruff problem which also causes hair loss.
If you have any healthy, natural remedies or tips for hair loss and dandruff please let me know!
Thank you so much for your videos!! I am so happy I found your channel!! I can't wait to begin taking care of my hair the healthy way from tomorrow on. ^^

Ivelisse Alvarado Hi! Gel, mousse and spray have one thing in common, alcohol. They are drying and give NO MOISTURE. Your hair needs MOISTURE. Invest into a good leave in conditioner :) also, make sure you watch this video where I share all my knowledge on how to keep your hair nice and defined

Lucky for me, we have the exact same hair. I can tell in your videos. Same thickness, same strand thickness, same curl pattern---everything. I just have to do exactly what you say, lol. My hair is pretty nice, but I've definitely been committing some sins lately. I'm definitely going to do cowashing now, along with thicker conditioning on the hair below the ear. I've been using it on my scalp too much and it weighs it down. I'm also going to be much more careful and braid my hair back when I surf. I think surfing a lot has caused me to lose more hair than normal.....
