Dosent ATS have a 500k mile warranty?
Yes they do, if it’s an internal build issue, it should be sent back, torn down and find the root cause of failure.
I like the Jeep stuff. Thinking about getting one myself.

You had to build boost and slam it in gear to make it move, no? It probably rolled the stator tube, being in four high towing that reefer must have been riding the converter hard and really heating it up. Willing to bet the actual trans doesn’t have a ton of issues when they tear it down.
Input shaft is shot and seal blown.
Just let me have them rim and wheels. I'll put them on my Civic. I'll left it 40 inches.

My father in law had a ATS built and installed at there shop in his 99 dodge. It lasted one year, he had to have it rebuilt at a different shop because the warranty was to complicated be 4 states away. His truck was stock so the shop recommended putting it back to stock. The mom and pop shop said the ATS transmission are way over rated. His stock transmission has been working fine now for 6 years.
With weather like that it sounds like your here in Louisiana we are always 90% humidity in 90* weather feels like the devils armpit.

yep i had a ats trans warrantied then they refused to replace the 2nd one the 1st one didn't work after install at all only had reverse the 2nd blew a snap ring off and lost reverse from a snap ring they used a damaged case that the snap ring failed in and had broke the slot and after 1300miles it failed and then they refused to replace it say it was my fault it died. my dad had similar problems with monster transmission he got 2 duds in a row for his 91 vet and it took them almost a yr to ship back the 3rd one but it did work for years after that. but we ether go within driving distance to a local shop or rebuild are self now we have no faith in prebuilt trans anymore they treat ya great till there's a problem then they misplace emails don't return phone calls my dad used monster cause they was promoted on trucks on power block tv this was yrs ago so I cant speak to there service now and though ats always replied and answered the phone it was always you installed it wrong or you broke it that's not covered my ats trans was for my super duty I got a core trans for the case at the scrapyard and rebuilt it with the ats parts they had never replaced the bearings/bushings put in new and a new seal kit and its still going to this day 2014 and around 190k on it . sad they had used good parts but used a crap case and it was a known problem with super duty's trans by that point its mind boggling but again maybe there better now I don't like to trash talk companies but knowing helps people decide what to buy. thanks for sharing

Ats is way over rated I purchase one with 5 band torque converter I dont race or pull I tow 5th wheel 12000 lbs three times year 47000 mi later no neutral or reverse wont buy another one also it was going to take over a week to send a replacement I am broke down out of state could not wait. They tell you that they can build a trans. In one day or not!

Yep ATS is junk. If you want a good trans call Firepunk or Randy's transmission .
10:39 this transmission is from 11-07-17 do you expect something that is being leaned on to last forever? And, do you know for sure that the transmission to throttle linkage was properly adjusted? This is critical to keep like pressure high enough to prevent failure.
@@bobroberts2371 ATS are failing left and right. Wow lasted a whole 5 years. Trans in my k25 is 44 years old and still works great. Trans in my duramax has 350k still works like new.
@@g56mark17 Are the trucks you have turned up and hammered on or stock? What trans in each?
@@bobroberts2371 yes all the above. The k25 has been lifted and running 38s with a 6.0 ls for the past 5years now and hauls heavy loads turbo 400 Trans. The duramax has been lifted since it had 5miles on with 35s with a heavy tune 4inch exhaust cold air intake and has been hammered on since day one and hauling a trailer most of it life from AZ to WA Allison Trans, all I've had to do the Trans is a couple shift solenoids.
The trans in this truck has been replaced 4 times lol
