I am an avid collector of both, imo I think Spark are a little more inconsistent than Minichamps. Maybe 10% of Spark models have some minor defect, but with Minichamps that’s less than 5%.
But when you do get a good Spark model with no defects, I think you’re getting better bang for your book vs. Minichamps. Slightly better detail for usually a decently cheaper rate.
Spark also tend to make more cars and put them out earlier. As well as having a in my opinion better display board (made of wood) vs the plastic or paper or card of Minichamps.
So I would say Spark has a slight edge overall but if the Minichamps was discounted to the same price as Spark, I think Minichamps would be the preferable option.

Thanks for the detailed opinion. I completely agree and I forgot to mention it in the video, recently I had very bad experiences with Spark, I think I even made a video of some of them. They are just far more careless with quality check than they should be at this price range. Maybe I was too unlucky but I doubt it. I have seen many many videos and pictures and I think Spark is not as good. If you are getting a perfect example than it could be better than a MC model. But I am a bit nervous to take that risk recently.
Models are coming out a lot sooner from Spark, and because of this I will receive the RedBull RB18 in a few days. I dont want to wait until mid next year for MC even if I would prefer it. CK models have their special CK edition of RB18 but that is a different proce range just for a different inlay, I wont pay that difference.

I have several spark And minichamps F1 models, I used to think minichamps were best by a long way, but spark have Court up , and I think are just as good, but it does depend on the model. Spark make more obscure models cars/ drivers that were not very successful , but are still very good models, and they are still cheaper than minichamps.

@@richardneal102 Completely agree with you on this one. I collect on both brands, both are great, but with Spark being cheaper, and on some models, they come up with a better small details, I am leaning a little bit towards it. I am glad that I chose the Spark version of the McLaren MCL35m Gulf with the better details, for a cheaper price. I don't really mind if the color is a little bit off, nor I don't mind the better details of MC on steering wheel, that's not the first detail you'll see on the car, as Spark got the better details on the exhaust, bargeboard, the extra stays, and the strakes on the diffuser. And I like the case more on Spark, as you can see the car better(360) if you remove the cardboard.

A better comparison would be the cars side by side without their mounts because it can change perceptions. I want to see the background the same for a proper comparison as well.

Minichamps all the Life in these actual models. The decals and the colors are much better.

Colours are more accurate in Minichamps. But details are shitty

That's more less correct. Except the steering wheel and some minor things. I would vote for MC because the colour is very important part at this model.

Man you can’t be serious that Minichamps got helmet right? Starting from wrong layout and design of #4 to spelling Quadrant wrong. Spark got helmet 100% right imp, comapre it to real helmet colors and design. Btw the car is papaya orange, when on sun light spark ones looks much better than in dark. Imo Minichamps have better looking color, but Spark managed to get most of details right.
