    Great review mate! Have the Spark on order since last year. For me, they are consistently better quality than Minichamps so I’m happy to pre order with confidence. The fan shop edition is the coolest though with the figure outside the car. Brings so much more emotion into the model!

    • @GreatChampionsTinyCars

      Thanks! Indeed the fanshop edition is the most special one, but pure quality wise, I think the Spark has the most plusses.

    Nice review mate 👍 I brought myself the spark one on the weekend, the display case looks really good and I like that it’s got the soft tyres on unlike the minichamps version,

    • @GreatChampionsTinyCars

      Thanks! The display case is a very nice addition indeed. The choice of the hard tyre on the Minichamps is a pretty controversial one, almost as controversial as the Masi decision 😉!

      Thanks! I did a review of the Hamilton USA 2015 by Minichamps already on this channel.
      As I don't have the 2014, nor the Spark models, making a video of those would be extremely difficult.

    For a fan the extra 40EUR for the soft tyres is hands down the better option. I have no clue why Minichamps decided on hard tyres when people want the softs.

    • @GreatChampionsTinyCars
      @GreatChampionsTinyCars  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's Minichamps logic...
      I think it's because of the deal with the Verstappen fanshop. It must stipulate their model is different from the fanshop, so therefor has another compound tyres.
      The fact that the standard version also has the pitboard might have something to do with that too...

    I think the window on the Spark's new packaging is there so dealer can see if front wing is intact or not before shipping it.

  • @dikkelikker
    @dikkelikker ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hey, first of all great video. I do however think minichamps got the correct floor. The rod is a silver colour, just like in the race. Also that aluminum part on the floor was not visible on the rb16b in Abu Dhabi. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just can't find any pictures of it. I know Minichamps included the aluminum part on the floor in earlier models of the rb16b, so I guess they removed it for a reason..

    • @GreatChampionsTinyCars
      @GreatChampionsTinyCars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks a lot for your comment!
      By the floor being wrong, I mean the part in front of the rear wheels with all the strakes and floor edge. Here Minichamps didn't update theirs, whereas Spark did. The aluminium bootshaped floor coloring is I think indeed not correct, I think in that case, Spark did the lazy thing and just copied it from their earlier versions.
      The rear suspension is actually very wrong on the Spark model apparently. The geometry of the lower wishbone should be different, and in deed the pullrod should be metallic and not black.

    • @dikkelikker
      @dikkelikker ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GreatChampionsTinyCars thanks for your response! It's unfortunate that spark uses the wrong suspension as well. Also like you mentioned, the way they apply their decals is the main reason I go for minichamps. It's a shame really, because the small details are so much better on spark models..

  • @Riskydawg105
