Common misconception that I/C doesn't add BHP - it does 😎. 20bhp is a great result in this instance

Can't wait for the downpipe update man! Things a beast already. There was an 8R in West Germany that was crashed and selling for parts. I'll look it up for the performance pack spoiler and if it's available, will inform you. They are quite expensive right now though, idk if it's worth it

20hp only intercooler is really good
Regards to the spoiler - I personally used 3M VHB 5952F to secure my lip spoiler on my 5 Series. It's litrally the best tape I've used to secure it. I recommend using that before splashing the cash on anything else.

Try put 3m command strips on the spoiler there really strong and won’t fall off at high speeds

The intercooler is one of my most over looked mods on my MK7. But when I’ve hit the track and see other cars tap out I remember why I got it 😅
What intercooler you running? I’m torn between do88 and Wagner. Not a track car at all just a daily stage 2
@@michael6125running an HF series, uses stock hoses. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done well. Again. I track it 3-4x/yr and have yet to see an overheating issue.

Hi Ade, I put a Wagner Tuning Intercooler on my S3 8p and it made a difference, especially when tuned to Stg2+. It's weird watching my intake temps when flooring it and the temps are going downwards. I do have water meth as well but turn it off to see the effect of the IC on temps

5% increase. Its good result and very health for engine :) Also it should increase remap potential a bit more and must have much better benefit in very hot days :)

Interesting engineering decision to put the FMIC behind the A/C condensor. Normally the other way around, would make more sense to do it this way, especially in a performance car. RS3 has it directly at the front, as do Mitubishi Evos and countless others. If it works it works I guess.
There are fmic form the mqb but they're not as big as the mid ones so a factory fit upgrade is best for performance as seen on mk7 platform
Damn I need to get my Audi s3 one. EQT stage 2 E85 with stock intercooler.
Will probably end up hitting close enough to the top end of 400 maybe even hit 500 with a decat and opf delete.
Would be good, maybe with some fancy fuel. We will see

Not sure as no one’s done any big builds on the Gen 4 EA888 yet, guess we’ll find out when I get a hybrid turbo on it
At what point do you need to upgrade the clutches in the dsg? How much torque can the gearbox handle?
We still don’t have this car in South Africa but funny enough the RS3 was launched a month ago

Is it really effective? I want to add an intercooler to my AUDI s3 8Y 2022 but I only want to do stage 1 does it really help or is necessary to add it and does it add more HP to my car ?
It would be interesting to know how much of a hit to fuel economy over stock all these performance mods cause...
Probably increases it stage 1 are known for an increase in mpg and the intercooler providing more dense air will also make it more efficient thus increasing mpg.
I had a stage 1 & mpg actually improved,
I'm at stage 2 now can still achieve 40mpg on the motorway but about 12mpg on A&B roads 🤣🙈
How did you find the fitment and also what is the core size? I have a pumaspeed 65mm core on my octavia vRS mk3 (ea888) and im finding the fan surround is practically touching the engine, with no adjustment the mechanic reckons. so contemplating removing and getting an airtec which is 60mm
I have the do88 ic on my vrs mk3.5 good fit had to adjust the side mouldnings in front of the ac condensor, the flappy ones on the side.
Performes very well with the garrett powermax turbo
@@ronniemattsson yes mines the 3.5 FL the late 230 engine style. Im ready for stage 2 once my downpipes done im just not convinced that this intercooler is mounted in the best way. What core is the intercooler you’re running mate? Also in what way did you adjust for correct fitment? Thanks

around 450 I reckon but all depends on the limit of the continental turbo
And this is without any e85, that made a pretty big difference on the evo motor in the rs3. I think this turbo should have high 400’s in it all things considered

So it gained all that extra horsepower with out any changes to the tune? All from the intercooler?
Temperatures are a lot lower with a intercooler fitted so you can map higher boost on the turbo.
Yes no adjustment to the tune in this video. Just hardware change
@@TRHamza maybe the ecu can adapt to the low temps, the same way you can feel the power drop through heat soak. I'm no expert just trying to use some logic. We don't know what VW have programmed into the ECU. It takes into account a whole lot of variables.
@@tyranic1 I see what you are saying but just wanted to see if actual adjustments have been made. He said no but I’m sure the ECU does stuff on its own or it just benefits from colder inlet temps
@@mqbr22all cars have IAT sensods and very wide ecu tables of temperature differences and fuel corrections. Actually tune is never needed, because cars ecu can perfectly compensate in real time without any high delay of lag or etc. Even if IAT shows only few celsius, its in ecu tables :p

Does doing the down pipe make the car no longer road legal in the uk? I have a Golf r but want a better sound from the exhaust but worried about messing with the pf
Downpipe makes no difference to the car being legal, you only need a larger pipe if you're going stage 2 & above
If you just want more noise you should delete the resonator,
