I love how the architect took a typical house and transformed it into something modern, innovative, and having this cool industrial/Japanese aesthetic. The draw bridge is a genius solution and the upper floor looks spectacular. Also, the landscaping on this property is an art form, in itself.
this one is a masterpiece. and I'm talking about the house, obviously, but also the sensitive and delicate cinematography and editing The Local Project always presents us. it's just a whole another level of informing, but at the same time, contemplating. the kind of work that, when absorbed, it heals.
What a delight: airy, open, unpretentious, and a wonderful marriage of natural and industrial materials, Mid-century modernism and Japanese elements. So, so lovely.
I’ve long respected Albert’s firms work since studying my degrees in Architecture, so lovely to see his design philosophies realised within his intimate family home.
So much thought and care has been put into this home. The midcentury clean lines to the Japanese minimalist aesthetic, the calm colour palette and the landscaping. Magic has been created here. Very well done!
I love this so much. The drawbridge is a wonderful touch. I love the amount of natural light in the living spaces. To my surprise at the end, a home with so much personality is in the heart of suburban life. Just wonderful.
i genuinely cannot focus on the video because i find this mans accent so alluring, he seems to slowly change between japaneese, german, and new zealand accents through his sentences
Stunning home. I LOVE what he did! Can anyone tell me the name of the piano piece he was playing? I know it’s a classic but cannot for the life of me remember…
Can somebody, ANYBODY, tell me what kind of lights this house has in its ceiling that gives off that kind of lighting?? The can lights, not the track. Please help!
@@apouwh Thank you so much!! I will go to the site right now. Thank you for putting the CRI rating in your comment. I didn’t know what that was and I did an hour deep dive learning about it.

Can't say it better.
I would have loved that house as a child. Very fortunate to grow up there.

Albert and his whole firm are amazing at what they do.
Truly brilliant and I love how much pleasure the architect expresses his home with! Those kids must have so much fun!

Another beautiful masterpiece by Albert Mo. My favorite house of his is definitely bellows house though by far!
I love how lived-in this feels.

LOVE this! What a lovely architect and vision.
Wow. The designs where I can see how my family would thrive while living in it are the ones that are memorable to me.
Feels real and unpretentious, down to earth modernism, clean and functional, personal and thought out. Bravo!
It's cool to experience the unique sensation of living in an architect's own family home designed to evoke the ambiance of a treehouse. 😊🌿
I have enjoyed your account for some time and this is my favourite post of yours. The house and its history are so vivid and beautiful.
This is a great house in which to raise a family. I bet the kids love it! And there’s enough style to appeal to adults, too.
I like this a lot; very minimalist and peaceful.
I like it’s raw sparseness , great idea with the drawbridge!
😉
What a wonderful place to live in. Great light, so many textures and viewpoints. This house has a great personality and looks like fun. Love it!
Absolutely stunning. A beautiful family home. Cheers
Brilliant innovation.
Love it!
Very beautiful
I loved the drawbridge.
I hate the drawbridge. 😉
wait til one of his kids falls over the edge.... no rail protection. Does that even meet code ?
I would give up my first born for an Albert Mo home
innovative
Me gusta. Respira original contención y vida.
Love the (new?) camera work. More overviews. Less moving B-rolls? Keep it up!
very wholesome
Drop down balcony drawbridge needs a 1m high Balustrade due to the height above ground! not safe for children.
Cool house, but that draw bridge seems like a leaky nightmare and inefficient thermal air gap around the edges. Would love to see a close up of that
There is a large double glazed sliding door inside the drawbridge. It is very well sealed and thought out.
Stunning home. I LOVE what he did! Can anyone tell me the name of the piano piece he was playing? I know it’s a classic but cannot for the life of me remember…
I think the piano piece is the theme song from the 1970s film Love Story?
Nice oversized shipping container.. the entrance side is very nice though
🥰🥰🥰
Take a shot for every “you know”
4:55 seconds of monologue and 35 “you know”. One every 8 seconds of speech
Where is this house located?

Recessed adjustable downlights with 3000K temperature, cri 90+
@@apouwh Thank youuu!!!! Do you know where I can purchase these kinds of lights? Big box stores certainly do not carry anything of quality.
Ambience Lighting is where we got all the lights from.

Stark contrasting in terms of privacy from the surrounding houses, something not very much Asian though.
anybody who knows what’s the piece playing at the beginning?
Theme from the movie Love Story (Where do I begin) from Francis Lai
@@marisasm oh that’s right, thanks
Like the house, but you got a 'Thumbs Down' for the use of the word 'Materiality' 3:44
Stupid made up word that really irritates me!!
