Anet A6 V1.7 Board upgrade and Marlin Firmware

- The main boards on my Anet A6 started melting, as all of them do, so I bought the upgraded V1.7 board. These came with dodgy firmware and did not work well at all. Fortunately I found Daniel @Crosslink3D who made a load of videos on the matter.

Hey, Graham, nice to see a fellow Saffer doing 3d printing YouTubing. I'm glad you found Marlin and were able to load it. The Anet firmware is kak - and it also does not have thermal runaway protection enabled - which is really important to prevent a fire from burning your house down. I had to install Marlin on my A6 when I upgraded to an automatic bed levelling sensor. Mine is still on the acrylic frame, although I have bolted it down to a wooden frame for rigidity. I am in the process of designing a Core XY printer running on a cube frame, and I had just got the electronics working with a similar graphical display and an Arduino Mega and Ramps 1.4 board. Then, bang, my Anet A6 board dies. I was too lazy to install the MOSFET upgrade, even though I had it. So it looks like my A6 will be running on a RAMPS board. I hope now you are familiar with the Marlin firmware process, that it is easy to adjust direction of motors, steps per mm and all of that and just bake another firmware - and you can use ANY board to drive the Anet - the components used are universal, just like any other printer.
Great video though !! Keep them coming..
Can you share the link to the Z-axis support that you created. I would like to incorporate that one in my cube project but cannot find it as a remake from the original evolution cube.

Atleast yours works. My e10, the screen stays blue and makes a screech sound. And no idea what it could be. I came across your video due to your mother board being the same as I’m using
Anyone having problem while pausing print? My steppers are disabling and I cannot change filaments w/out losing the position on the print
Hi, my fuse between power supply and mainboard burned and i want to replace it, what fuse do i need or can i just run a direct wire between power and board without problems?
Do not put a wire there. There is a reason it popped. That fuse is also for over power protection, which prevents the printer from catching fire. That fuse is a 10A unit
Can you share the link to the board you purchased?
Bought from Bangood. I'll try to find the link
