Going by the book, I don't think so. The games changed his condition to 'wet smear' when in the Lady of the Lake, he was clearly melted into the column completely. I'm glad he survived, but I don't think he should have
@@whyonthefall5373 I think there's a big chance that he did in fact survive. When Yennefer and Geralt are put on a boat at the end of Lady of the Lake, everyone saw the ghosts of close to them people helping to push of the boat.Dandelion, who was there, saw Milva , Cahir and Angolume but he did not see Regis.

I love the book Regis, but I haven't played all of B&W DLC. I'm not so sure if I could actually kill Dettlaff at the end of B&W (from what I've heard of him, he actually reminds me of Capt. Davey Jones in the 2nd or 3rd movie of POtC), and it makes me sad because I know what both men went through. It's not fun having your heart ripped out by your significant other. The devastation burns and changes you. This is so fascinating! Good narrative.
Higher vampires just can't die. It's briefly hinted at in the books. But higher vampires also just wish to return to their origin plane of existence, a thing impossible by the Conjunction of the Spheres. I still haven't played Blood and Wine so I won't watch the video. In the books, even Geralt is unsure if he could kill Regis. Then in the last book Regis basically 'gives his life' in order to give Geralt an opening against Vilgerfortz, but it's also hinted that even if they turn to ash, they can still reform their body in time.
@@katiezworld1014If I’m not mistaken, Regis states in B&W that a higher vampire cannot die unless they are killed by another higher vampire, or perhaps another vampire of even higher esteem, such as the unseen elder vampire that can be met in B&W
In Skyrim used double fireball with potion for 25% fire bonus, and my armor had fire bonus, destroyed Lord Vampire wit single hit in hardest level, just remembered that in video start after seeing regis being burned, vilgefort was actually very powerful with fire the vampire weakness.
Could Regis have survived?

@@janekfilipowski9119 true. Maybe Regis didn't show up because he wasn't a human? Your explanation does make more sense, though
@@janekfilipowski9119 Maybe that is because vampires are immune to Divination magic or somthing... but ofc everyone would love regis beeing alive

Wasn't it because he isn't a human so he doesn't have a soul?
@@niki1055im not sure, but vamps are not undead. They are living species...So technicaly he could have a soul.
This is actually his own short story from Regis Journey pass from the standalone Gwent card game.
You certainly did give Regis his due and wound a fine tale. One that I hope will end with Regis making a recovery.

I wouldn't say impossible, as only Ciri could take them home. However, I doubt Ciri wants the whole vampire race after her.

Thank You for taking the time to make this video was very informative!!!!!!!!
Epitome isn't pronounced the way you think it is. Not a criticism, just a helpful bit of info sharing. Otherwise, pretty good video. Cheers!

Wowwww thank you for this ,,,, i like this character a lot
Regis is the best!
11:22 looks like Daryl Dixon from TWD ngl
So Regis and Detlaff did play a role in books?
Just Regis. Dettlaff is a creation for the games only.
@wickedaline8668 Regis is by far my favourite character in the books.
Only Regis he's dead
Is this canon or a story made up by the narrator? Either way, I adore it! Just curious.
Narrator here.
Check out the Regis Journey in Gwent. You may or may not find something reminiscent of what we spoke about in the video :)

Regis is the Witcher character I identify with most.
You mean, you used to drink human blood but now you've changed your ways?
