Gosh, 4k does such a good job picking up every little dust particle and flaw! I am definitely going to have to open up the case, blow out some of the dusticles that might be in there and clean up the hands ;/ Anyway, how YOU doin'?

Thanks for the mod vids. I learn little more each time. Hope to install some sapphire inserts soon. The sticky technique will be used for sure, I was way off on how to do it.

Didn't know there was such a thing as sapphire bezel. Always wanted a pepsi ceramic but hear that they have problems with the colours, nice to know that this exists!

that "check the lume" song is epic. certainly up there with lennon/mccartney. i'd imagine you'll have some intellectual property litigation in your future as people the world over begin stealing from it.
I usually use thick plastic card to pop off the bezel on my skx033. It leaves no scraches and if one card is not enough you can always stick one mure under the one that is already under the beze, just use it at one of the lugs, so the smooth lug surface will allow you to get under it easily.

I was wanting to switch out the bezel insert on my Turtle without popping the bezel, but I guess that probably is a low probability exercise. I was also wanting to remove the “oem” bezel insert without damaging it, but that also seems to be an unlikely proposition as well.

Zack, Remember when I had a lot of trouble doing these mods? lol. It's not quite as easy as these current videos make them out to be! I had to learn a lot! But that's okay. Start with Seiko 5's or Vostoks! Thanks, man!
@@minitwatch Lol I have a Seiko 5 that I was thinking about butchering up but it's a 38mm watch. It's just small and no matter how nice I make it look, it'll never look good on my wrist. 40mm is my sweet spot. I am obsessed with a Omega right now, and I was very tempted to get a Steinhart, but I am gonna save to get a Moonwatch.
I have two on order. One batman for the srpc91 and one pepsi for the srpa21! I think they are going to be killer.

Like your video. Thanks for showing the sapphire bezel insert. I think there are people like me are looking for more information. It seems the lume is just painted underneath the sapphire and the while paint serves as the protection. For USD60, do you think it worths? How is the quality of the bezel insert and lume? Have you removed the bleeding? Do you have concern that multiple removals of the bezel insert since the bottom is just a layer of white paint?
Looks good! Hope the lume bleed isn't a common occurrence. Doesn't seem to be.
Did you try to pull the bezel insert off and fix the lume bleeding? I might be careful about scratching the back side and possibly removing some paint from the underside. Same goes if you plan to use a new adhesive ring and need to remove the old. Hopefully it will not peel off the painted underside of the bezel insert. I can imagine that happening. I used to have one from Yobokies and they pretty much warn you better get it right the first time as it is likely you will irreparably damage the underside of and when you try to remove the bezel insert after it has been installed.

I was really excited when LCBI came out with this new inserts, but I was very disappointed by the yellowish color of the markers on an insert, especially on the red part. And also I'm afraid this sapphire bezels are more fragile than ceramic:(

Please do a Lcbi mod for A seiko Samurai, I have a Samurai and will be installing one on mine soon. Plus their is no videos on TH-cam on a installation with a seiko Samurai! It only makes sense for you to be that guy! "haha fake laugh hiding real pain!

That light bleed in unfortunate.
Need to follow up with us when you figure out what's causing it.
It's just so bright that it comes through the sides of the sapphire. I was bummed at first but now I like this weird quirk :p. If I want to fix it, it wound't be too hard however, I'm worried about cracking the insert should I try and pry it off. With my butterfingers, that's a big possibility :/

The lume in the watch is reflecting onto the rehaut, not coming from the insert.
