    @pushthrun I liked how your review seemed honest and that you are from SC since I am from NC. My wife has done the Palmetto Relay a few times, and I drove her team on one.

      I have several friends on the Columbia Running Club who do the Relay every year. Sound like you're a good team playah!!! Keep pushing the miles

    Thanks for looking into these. Very good points.
    I am a big Nike fan and they have never let me down for my narrow feet. I bought these for a trail marathon, I know you said you don't personally recommend them for long distances, but I am going to give them a shot.
    My feet did not like Hoka Speedgoats. And I have 250+ miles on my Nike road shoes, will report back on these for trail training and my race.

      Thanks for watching and commenting. By long runs or races, I mean, "I personally" would not wear them over maybe 26 - 30 miles, and then, that would have to be soft trails. Again, the ZoomX foam in these is firmer than on the Nike road shoes. Totally different feel.
      But, for me, I need softer cushioning for long runs and races.
      Keep pushing the miles!!!

    Slippage was reported only on wet surfaces, but if it happens it's supposedly holiday on ice. But when it is wet or might rain i would wear another shoe.
    Maybe I will get it or the Zegama 2, which might release in the final quarter of the year. Next year will see some interesting Salomon shoes, like the non S-Lab version of the Genesis. Which is for a wide foot, so probably not quite your thing.

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I have not experienced any slippage on wet surfaces, such as rocks, which would be the only wet surface I would run with these. Yes, Salomon came out with a few new models this year and I'm sure they will ramp things up again for 2024. I'm excited to see what they will be showing at The Running Event in Austin, Texas in November. Last year, I paid more attention to road shoes. But, now I transitioned back to the dark side of ultra races so I'll be honing in on all of the trail companies.

      Too firm for me. But, doesn't mean they aren't a great shoe for others...like you. Thanks for watching and commenting

    Mine are at 200km. Love them and truly hope they stick some Vibram soles on v2 !!!

    • @pushtherun
      @pushtherun  ปีที่แล้ว

      Tome will tell, but I doubt Nike will do too much with Vibram. They used it on their newest ZoomX race trail shoe, but sources tell me, they will typically stick to their own rubber. I am sure they will eventually design a lighter and more durable rubber to enhance race shoes. Keep Pushing The Miles!!!

      Thanks Kenneth. Let me ask you, "What made you subscribe?" Just so I know what I'm doing right and what I need to continue to do. I'll be posting more shoe and supplement reviews the next month along with overviews of Treadmill comparison testing of shoes. I just did an initial testing of Alphaflys 1, 2 and 3 last week and will be shooting a video on the first round of results the next couple days. Pretty confirms why most people, and Conner Mantz, like the V1 the most. Thanks again!!!

    I was looking at these but lately intrigued by Merrell Agility Peak 5...

    • @pushtherun
      @pushtherun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Nike are good but a little stiff for me long term. I don't know anything about Merrells

    • @runzization
      @runzization ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pushtherun also about Merrell they now have a pro trail team with "MTL" (Merrell Test Lab) that works with team. Supposedly the agility peak 5 is similar to older speedgoats

    • @pushtherun
      @pushtherun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Back in 2012 when I had 3 running stores, I sold Merrell shoes for a short time. Then, they did not sell well because the name was not known. Keep Pushing!!!

    Is this a shoe you can wear for 25-30 miles at a time and it be comfortable?

    • @pushtherun
      @pushtherun  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For me personally, I could not because it's not cushy enough.

    Wonderful and detailed review Dave! I have always considered this an interesting looking trail shoe by looking at that ZoomX foam midsole and I am so glad that you analyzed every part of it including all the design choices and materials used on the upper! Thank you and greetings from Greece 😁

      Thank you for commenting and watching. I just had Greek Salad dressing on my lunch salad. The Zegama sure is a beast of a shoe that will last a good while.

      @@pushtherun Its my pleasure Dave! Greek salad is absolutely delicious especially if eaten the traditional way with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, olives, feta cheese, vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, oregano and salt 😁 You should visit Greece if you already haven't

    Foam is not all zoom x that’s why it’s different

    • @pushtherun
      @pushtherun  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      True, but the ZoomX used in the show is not the same as in the road shoes. Thanks for your feedback. Keep Pushing!!!
