This is the second time I've heard Greenly described as Head n Shoulders Green Apple Shampoo and I love that shampoo so much I know I have to love Greenly.
The thing I love about PDM is that there is a favorite for anyone, just look at the comments. You surely find what you like among the fragrances. One may like Carlisle better, the other one is a Pegasus fan. That's a noteworthy characteristic of the brand. As a person from the orient, the strong spice especially saffron vibe of Kalan, later turning into a smoky woody scent makes it a favorite of mine.
Kalan is a dark horse. Really, it smells like a sweet and spicy bell pepper at first then spicy sweet with the pepper smell fading away. I think if you are in a Latino heavy area, it'll just work for you and "makes sense" if you're the type of person who wears fragrances depending on location and occasion.
Carlisle has a gorgeous smell. The opening is dark but smooth. The dry-down is so powdery and delicate; I love it. When I finish the payment of my Amouage B. Iris, I'll definitely get a full bottle.
Fantastic, I think this is your signature series and what sets you apart from other channels, very very very good work my brother, keep it up and yeah someone else mentioned it already, you’d have to do initio next!
My wife and I picked out each other's wedding day scents. Oajan was the one she picked for me. 10/10 and my favorite in my collection for sentimental reasons. Ironically I picked out Delina Exclusif for her.
Love Carlisle. I’m new to the fragrance world so I won’t act like I know about notes, but it is very very similar to the scents of a surf shop I used to go to that’s no longer around. Leather sandals, surf wax, something to cover up the smell of weed, little bit of an edge. Perfect.
I use Layton and Pegasus! But Pegasus is the standout. Used to use Creed, but wanted something different / an alternative but similar and stumbled upon Parfums De Marley!
Big fan of HALTANE, that left a lasting impression after smelling it! I've tried Layton on skin and it was basically dead and gone after 1hr. I really enjoyed Layton exclusive and wearing Herod today, which is really really nice! Great video
As Haltane is said to be a clone of Oud for greatness, and Lattafa Oud for Glory a cheap clone of Oud for greatness, could the last one also be a good alternative to Haltane?
@@wisecoonie to answer your question, I've sprayed one on each wrist and they are not really that close. Haltane smells much richer, woodier, saffron and oud. Oud for glory reminded me of Haltane the 1st time I smelled it but side by side they're not close. Parfums de marly and initio are sister companies so oud for greatness might be closer. Oud for glory is fantastic for the price though
I absolutely love oajan, it was the first ever pdm I tried when I started with the popular Hobby of "bankruptcy via fragrance" and loved it instantly 👍🏾
Just got my Haltane. Smelling it side by side with Oud For Greatness, I found it less woody, less sweet and creamier than OFG. I think it is better than OFG. Might be redundant to have both, but if I need to give up one of them, I’ll let go of OFG. I also like Kalan. Maybe I’ll get a bottle before Christmas just so I can have Christmas colored PDMs in my display shelf. 😂

This is the video i was waiting for. PDM is slowly becoming my favorite house. So far i got Layton, Oajan and my personal favorite Carlisle. And i love all of them. I sampled Herod but that one didn't do much for me. I got samples of Pegasus and Godolphin droppin in soon. Very excited to get my nose on those.

Layton Exclusif is more appreciated in the fragrance community but not so much by the "average" pop . I have seen people trying to return Layton Exclusif once they bought it and used it . A score of 9/10 is high , perhaps 7/10 is fair . Congratulations for your channel, it's very entertaining .
Just got a sample of it and the opening instantly reminded me of one I already own -> Mont Blanc Legend. Side by side they are very similar to my nose ! Very nice scent though :)

Indeed, you don't _have_ to buy _every_ PdM fragrance. Didn't mind getting some of them. Sad to see Herod being underrated in this video. Yes, it's smooth and therefor not complex. And linear, but... any direction it could develop in would be the wrong one anyway. I think Greenley, Sedley and Percival do stand out well from one another. They're really easy to keep apart. They're just less of Omar's style it seems. Doesn't matter, just get samples. And take whatever you like. I find Godolphin semi-attractive. Haven't had a real sample from it... but the bottle is golden and highly reflective. Under the right (or rather wrong) lighting it can even be painful to look at. Plus it gets covered by fingerprints, just looking at it. Again, nothing against the fragrance, but I do think it's one thing to keep in mind if you want to put it on a shelf.
i hated pegasus, but now i am liking it more and more. the metallic vibe was the factor i hated it, now im getting used to it and it is what makes pegasus very unique haha
One word when it comes to PDM: Discounters, Discounters and Discounters. You missed Hamdani, incense bomb; Kuhuyan, animalic leather; and Nisean, the patchouli centered fragrance. All are unique smoky winter scents and three of my favorites from the brand.
Haltane 7/10, im happy you are Gatekeeping. For me its the best of the PDM. Btw. Initios OFG is totaly different, maybe in the opening there are 30 sec that they are similar… but after is totally different.
Good vid! I just ordered blind Layton Exclusif and Pegasus Exclusif. Supposed to be here Friday! I already have big bottles of Layton, Percival, and Sedley. Decants of several others. Planning on getting Greenley by spring. Kalan is the only one that I can’t get myself to wear…yet anyway. Also got my daughter that’s at college Delina last year. Ope, forgot I have the small bottle of Herod as well. I agree with your review on it, it’s good, but not the best tabacco I have. Probably end up with Carlisle next after your (and others) great reviews.
@@pjlewis8089 If a guy wearing a very expensive suit, $1000 shoes, gets out of a Bentley to go into a shopping mall, when the whole place smells him instantly, they would think “that guy owns the property that every mall has been built on and he smells…interesting. He obviously doesn’t care what anyone thinks”. If a guy wearing it has on jeans, running shoes, and tshirt gets out of any car that is less than 1/4 mil $, the whole mall would instantly smell him and think he fell into a vat of chemicals and probably call hazmat. I exaggerate, but I couldn’t get the smell out of my kitchen for weeks from the overspray of one test. That was mid summer so honestly that probably ruined it for me.

Like 1 scent for every occasion/day/night/officesafe, 1 scent for spring/summer/officesafe, 1 scent for autumn/winter/officesafe, 1 scent for dates/night and daytime and 1 scent for special occasions/leatherjacket. Pegasus is the best of the group. That thing is a compliment monster from women. I get more from that scent than Layton, Naxos, Tuxedo and Carlisle. Women go crazy for Pegasus

I own Darley and I like it; it really reminds me of a lovechild between Le Male, Original Santal and Reflection Man; I find it to be very versatile, it's definetely a fragrance you can wear all year around and in close enviroments, such as an office. Not sure if I'd buy it at full retail, but I got it for 120 € from discounters, worth every cent!

I love Pergasus Exclusif and Kalan on me but hate Gandolphin (just bought a mini of it). Kalan is a perfect Spring - late summer fragrance on me, PE - definitely winter.
I have tried many pdm fragrances, and ALOT of them smell very similar to each other with slight "TWEEKS" the two I will buy are Layton and my favourite Greenley, yes it smells like apple shampoo slightly but it's so refreshing and clean smelling, which is all anyone should want in a fragrance. Sedley is absolutely awful I'm really not lying when I say it lasted no more than 15 minutes on my skin and clothes. I'd like to try kalan.
Just got a Pegasus Exclusif 1ml and couldn’t get on with it at all, just a peppery smoke with little else going on. Was expecting more with your 10/10 review. I also received a Oajan 1ml and that was great for me - lovely honey cinnamon smell.
I was really excited to try carlisle since a lot of people hyped it, and when I smelt it, I hated it. I thought it was wayyy too heavy and synthetic. However, I think almost all the fragrances from this brand are great and I bought Haltane that day, and started getting crazy compliments straight away. 11/10 fragrance.
I have/had Layton, Sedley, percival, and Haltane.. Layton I love and costantly complimented. Sedley I bought 2yrs ago in late June I was planning on buying Greenly but didn’t like at all (my opinion on Greenly has changed)but Sedley I really liked in the heat but once it was late September I really didn’t think it was strong enough Percival my girl bought for me thinking it was Layton, I honestly just think it’s ok Haltane, I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE the scent, Altho I haven’t gotten many compliments. But maybe just not around enough people. When compared to Oud for greatness I prefer OFG, but I think OFG maybe # 1 or 2 all time favorite scents
nice video ! I have tried almost everyone apart from Carlisle . I have to say that layton is the more mass appealing along with Sedley. Galloway smells similar to Lalique white and many others as you mention are inspired by other fragrances. thus this house is not of the top niche houses for me. However Sedley is one of the top 3 blue fragrances for me
Kuhuyan is a really nice one with Fahrenheit vibes with heliotrope. Akaster is a slept on PDM nice Oud/Rose fragrance. Nisean is supposed to be very nice rose/patchouli fragrance, but I’ve never smelled it (Sebastian (the perfume guy) is big on Nisean).
Nisean is a gem, a 10/10, kuhuyan is really good a must say a 9/10 and Akaster is another underrated. I love almost everything on that Brand, 'cept byerley and lippizan, those are awful to my eyes

I think u missed Akaster..not one of the most famous ones but was interested to hear ur take since it’s a rose oud scent My fav without a doubt is Carlisle followed by Pegasus….and am currently liking Godolphin more and more (weather I suppose) For Herod, I feel Issey Miyake Pulse of the night does a much better job…not as smooth but WAY MORE defined and pronounced
I really dislike the Ambroxan in Greenley. It turns it into a chemical waste nightmare in the drydown. Such a shame because it's such a beautiful opening and middle. Really wished they could have done some lighter musks and some iso-e super instead.
I blind bought Layton thanks to the insane hype it gets. I’m still trying to like it, I don’t understand how it’s labelled as mass appealing when I’m still yet to find a person in real life that actually likes it let alone loves it. I’ve even tried spraying it on other people to see if it’s just me but no. Exclusif on the other hand… to me smells like I’ve just buried my head in a big bucket of soil and rotting leaves. Couldn’t get it off my skin fast enough. One more thing, this apple pie smell that everyone seems to describe, the thing smells NOTHING like apple pie. You really have to stretch your imagination to get apple pie
I just sprayed 8 sprays of Layton early batch and 2 things. 1) I prematurely sprayed it because I won't be going out for another 3 hours. 2) I am choking myself out at the moment with the opening.

When I smelled Haltane for the first time I immediately thought "that smells exactly like Oud for Greatness" and I do not like Oud for Greatness at all. I loved Godolphin though. If I buy another PdM fragrance it's gonna be that one.
I’m a huge fan of PDM. I do believe we are in an era of too much sweetness in these scents. I’m into more masculine scents. Out of Herod, Layton exclusiv, Pegasus exclusiv, or Carlisle which is most masculine with less sweetness?? All people with experience with these I’d like to hear from. Thanks in advance.

Just got my fist PDM the other day, you guys weren't kidding about being able to end someone rightly with those caps.
I love haltane. I’m only 17 but I really enjoy the sweetness and it projects and last forever and pulls me compliments.
Haltane, Galloway and Percival are all in my regular rotation and I love them all.
I tried Carlisle today. Just blew my mind away. I'd say go with that guys 😊

Layton Exclusif is definitely not one for the kiddos.

If a guy wearing a very expensive suit, $1000 shoes, gets out of a Bentley to go into a shopping mall, when the whole place smells him instantly, they would think “that guy owns the property that every mall has been built on and he smells…interesting. He obviously doesn’t care what anyone thinks”.
If a guy wearing it has on jeans, running shoes, and tshirt gets out of any car that is less than 1/4 mil $, the whole mall would instantly smell him and think he fell into a vat of chemicals and probably call hazmat.
I exaggerate, but I couldn’t get the smell out of my kitchen for weeks from the overspray of one test. That was mid summer so honestly that probably ruined it for me.

Hello Omar and the community, here is my question: When you want to establish a collection out of 5 scents, do you think Parfums de Marley would fit? Like 1 scent for every occasion/day/night/officesafe, 1 scent for spring/summer/officesafe, 1 scent for autumn/winter/officesafe, 1 scent for dates/night and daytime and 1 scent for special occasions/leatherjacket. Pegasus is the best of the group. That thing is a compliment monster from women. I get more from that scent than Layton, Naxos, Tuxedo and Carlisle.

I own Darley and I like it; it really reminds me of a lovechild between Le Male, Original Santal and Reflection Man; I find it to be very versatile, it's definetely a fragrance you can wear all year around and in close enviroments, such as an office.
Not sure if I'd buy it at full retail, but I got it for 120 € from discounters, worth every cent!

I love Pergasus Exclusif and Kalan on me but hate Gandolphin (just bought a mini of it). Kalan is a perfect Spring - late summer fragrance on me, PE - definitely winter.
I own Percival and Layton both are super strong and always get positive attention but my favorite is Oajan which I don’t own
I have tried many pdm fragrances, and ALOT of them smell very similar to each other with slight "TWEEKS" the two I will buy are Layton and my favourite Greenley, yes it smells like apple shampoo slightly but it's so refreshing and clean smelling, which is all anyone should want in a fragrance. Sedley is absolutely awful I'm really not lying when I say it lasted no more than 15 minutes on my skin and clothes. I'd like to try kalan.
Nice choices! You may have been trying an old formulation of Sedley? It definitely seems to be long lasting in its new formulation
Just got a Pegasus Exclusif 1ml and couldn’t get on with it at all, just a peppery smoke with little else going on. Was expecting more with your 10/10 review. I also received a Oajan 1ml and that was great for me - lovely honey cinnamon smell.

I was really excited to try carlisle since a lot of people hyped it, and when I smelt it, I hated it. I thought it was wayyy too heavy and synthetic. However, I think almost all the fragrances from this brand are great and I bought Haltane that day, and started getting crazy compliments straight away. 11/10 fragrance.
Agree. For me, Pegasus Exclusiff, Carlisle and Layton are the best from this house (from what I've tried)

Sedley I bought 2yrs ago in late June I was planning on buying Greenly but didn’t like at all (my opinion on Greenly has changed)but Sedley I really liked in the heat but once it was late September I really didn’t think it was strong enough
Percival my girl bought for me thinking it was Layton, I honestly just think it’s ok
Haltane, I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE the scent, Altho I haven’t gotten many compliments. But maybe just not around enough people. When compared to Oud for greatness I prefer OFG, but I think OFG maybe # 1 or 2 all time favorite scents

nice video ! I have tried almost everyone apart from Carlisle . I have to say that layton is the more mass appealing along with Sedley. Galloway smells similar to Lalique white and many others as you mention are inspired by other fragrances. thus this house is not of the top niche houses for me. However Sedley is one of the top 3 blue fragrances for me
Kuhuyan is a really nice one with Fahrenheit vibes with heliotrope. Akaster is a slept on PDM nice Oud/Rose fragrance. Nisean is supposed to be very nice rose/patchouli fragrance, but I’ve never smelled it (Sebastian (the perfume guy) is big on Nisean).

Nisean is a gem, a 10/10, kuhuyan is really good a must say a 9/10 and Akaster is another underrated. I love almost everything on that Brand, 'cept byerley and lippizan, those are awful to my eyes

In the other hand byerley it seems to be IMO a bad fragrance just like that,

For Herod, I feel Issey Miyake Pulse of the night does a much better job…not as smooth but WAY MORE defined and pronounced

I really dislike the Ambroxan in Greenley. It turns it into a chemical waste nightmare in the drydown. Such a shame because it's such a beautiful opening and middle. Really wished they could have done some lighter musks and some iso-e super instead.

I blind bought Layton thanks to the insane hype it gets. I’m still trying to like it, I don’t understand how it’s labelled as mass appealing when I’m still yet to find a person in real life that actually likes it let alone loves it. I’ve even tried spraying it on other people to see if it’s just me but no. Exclusif on the other hand… to me smells like I’ve just buried my head in a big bucket of soil and rotting leaves. Couldn’t get it off my skin fast enough. One more thing, this apple pie smell that everyone seems to describe, the thing smells NOTHING like apple pie. You really have to stretch your imagination to get apple pie
I just sprayed 8 sprays of Layton early batch and 2 things. 1) I prematurely sprayed it because I won't be going out for another 3 hours. 2) I am choking myself out at the moment with the opening.

I am not a huge fan of Pdm I find them a bit mid compared to other fragrances and I’m sick of hearing about them on TikTok but good video bro
I think I found a good layer for those that do not like Pegasus like I do. Layer it with Xerjoffs Naxos. Equal parts. It smells amazing together.
I really like Habdan and plan to get a bottle for the fall and winter. I do like several other PDM fragrances, like Carlisle and Percival, too.
My wife bought me a 75ml Percival for my birthday and it’s a beautiful fragrance.
I layered Carlisle with Ani and it was a HIT. JUST ONE PUMP OF ANI ON CHEST AND CARLISLE ON PULSE POINTS
When I smelled Haltane for the first time I immediately thought "that smells exactly like Oud for Greatness" and I do not like Oud for Greatness at all. I loved Godolphin though. If I buy another PdM fragrance it's gonna be that one.
Love Percival, Herod, and Oajan. Those are my favorites.

I’m a huge fan of PDM. I do believe we are in an era of too much sweetness in these scents. I’m into more masculine scents. Out of Herod, Layton exclusiv, Pegasus exclusiv, or Carlisle which is most masculine with less sweetness?? All people with experience with these I’d like to hear from. Thanks in advance.
Least sweetness would be Layton Exclusif but they’re all fairly sweet
