What make of screen did you go for & do you have a link if possible please? I’ve tried to get a Eyoyo 5inch but it’s a case of VERY slow boat from China!
The one bought off ebay 2nd hand was an esddi f5. Just search dslr monitor. Around 5 inch, you need to make sure theres a thread on the side(some only have thread at the bottom.)
I have just installed a 5" 1920x1080 display which is the same resolution as HDMI out (but not really if you read further). Did you change hud from 16:9 to 4:3 aspect ratio to prevent distortion. I discovered this by trial and error before finding that the hdmi out is 1440x1080 stretched to 1920x1080, hence distortion. Converting back to 4:3 gives true aspect image at 1440x1080 which is still better resolution than internal OLED Display 1024x768 OLED. This does mean you do not use full screen horizontally though. I wonder why Pard thought that would be useful? The output resolution quoted therefore of 1920x1080 is not really correct as a distorted image and pretty useless. However works brilliantly once corrected just spent a few hours trying to work out why originally distorted.

The screen was off Amazon along with the bracket and leads

The mount and the cable were off amazon and the screen off ebay
