Hi, do u usually calibrate battery with any device? With all the steps like full charge and keep it connected for at least 2 hours, total discharge until the phone shut down and full charge again?
Yeah I would definitely recommend placing the battery down first. And leaving yourself a mm or two to tuck the connector in and then connect. It was very tough running the wire and connecting when you place battery right next to the plug as done in this video. But thanks for everything else.
Great video, looks easy enough but isn't adhesive missing to stop the lcd screen from bobbling? I found this with a tablet I replaced a battery unit for recently the screen is now abit spongey
99% isopropyl alcohol. better use isopropyl over ethyl because iso dissolves adhesive while ethyl doesn't. better use 99% too over lower percentage because you won't leave as much water compared with lower percentages
2:54 when I did this step on my iPhone 8 many years ago the adhesive tape strip snapped and got stuck under the battery LMFAO it was so hard to get the battery off after that.. I almost had a mental breakdown 😂😂😂 ended up just ordering a new phone 😅
Acetone I believe has corrosive qualities and doesn’t evaporate as quickly or cleanly I don’t believe. Never heard of acetone being used in electronics repair. Just do the alcohol. 91% from your pharmacy is more than enough. Even 70% works if you’re patient.
@@zacharytracy3797Do NOT use 70% alcohol on your electronics!!! That is 30% water - which will not readily evaporate when it gets into all the nooks and crannies of your device!!! THAT will cause corrosion… Not acetone, which you also should not use because it may dissolve some plastics etc in the device.
Hi, after replacing a iphone battery and it has battery health programmed back to 100% would it return to its old battery health after the iphone has been reset? When you are replacing a battery and use the tag on flexes that reprogram itself can you then go and use the same tag on flex in a different phone battery replacement? (can you use the tag on flexes more than once?)
Hi, I’ve just changed my battery but I no longer have the battery health status due to it being 3rd party battery, is there a way to correct this Thanks
@@davidbrownbill1285 Long story short the answer is no, unless you have a spot welder and the original battery to replace the BMS from the original onto the new battery. I am amazed this guy fails to mention how you lose battery status and health without replacing the BMS, which is a pretty complicated process for a non-technician. ❤
It is not easy to find a reliable source for a quality replacement battery. I’ve tried it with my MacBook mod 2012 and it swollen up after just a few months to the point where I had to put my original one back. So if I really have to change my iPhone battery, I would pay Apple to do it for me.
It’s fine, just razor blade the screen off, then 3 screws to remove the bracket, then…a connector….a plate…another connector…a connector…then some pure alcohol to breakdown the battery adhesive…then de-gum the battery….then…imma gonna go watch Family Guy clips

“this could all go horribly wrong.”
Lets be honest, this is not easy at all.
Easier with our guide 😊
Easier than replacing battery in the iPhone 12 or anything higher tbh

How do you remove the battery not recognised warning in the settings?
Quick Question: Can I use acetone instead of isopropanol?
Thanks in advance! Great video

Is it worth changing the 11 pro battery or going for a latest model?
it's better to change the battery that will get you 3-4 more years on your phone vs getting the latest model that might not be as good as advertised.
Do you not need to use something like icopy plus to copy the details from the original battery?
What about the health of new replaced battery?
Where did you get the Ip9 core battery? I can’t find it in amaz
I did a quick search on Amazon and I wasn’t sure about the quality of what they have available
where's the link to the battery?
Is this same method for iphone 11 pro max? Please reply. Thank you
this is a great guide, thank you
Another Quick question @iDoctorUK can you use white spirit / mineral spirit instead of isopropanol instead?
Thank you so much.
Hi iDocUK, where can i buy the IP9 battery for my iphone 11? thanks
you got an answer somewhere? with a link maybe

I completed the battery swop but will not turn on. Its on charge but only shows the apple icon every 20/30 seconds for about 10seconds
Changing the iPhone 11 battery will make Face True Tune disappear?
I'm 99% sure that it won't. Only changing the screen would make TrueTone disappear.

Judging by this video, replacing the battery yourself is about as easy as performing neurosurgery yourself.
But don't you need to reprogram battery??
All one has to go through give moi a head ache! Not like a good ole Nokia Flip Telephone!
I haven’t seen the 95% alcohol that you said you’d be listing.
